환경교육에서 지역사회단체와 학교의 협력 사례 연구 (Case Study of Informal Institute-Public School Collaboration in Environmental Education)

  • This paper examines procedure of informal institute-public school collaboration in an elementary school and analysis environmental effects of informal institute-public school collaboration that follows up curriculum based environmental education programs. The purpose of this program is to improve environmental knowledge, attitudes of elementary students. Partnership between informal environmental Institute(NGO's) and public elementary school teachers established through program. Teachers are encouraged to be involved in student's activities and program assesment. The program we discuss here is a community collaboration project that combines environmental and outdoor education based on school curriculum and student's regional properties. The aim of the study was to describe environmental educational-based school-community partnerships and to examine the advantages and limitations for such collaborations. Qualitative and Quantitative Data are collected and analysed. Outcomes of this program are very positive. Students who were participated in this program gained more environmental awareness, attitude, knowledge, skills and affection to their region. More this programs were helpful to teachers who were participated. Further study needs to practice an exemplary collaboration and development of local school-community partnerships, which yields a blueprint for more productive collaboration in other communities.

보건소간호사와 보건진료전담공무원의 문화역량 및 문화간호역량 교육요구 비교 (Difference in the Cultural Competency and Cultural Nursing Competence Educational Needs of Public Health Nurses and Community Health Practitioners)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of cultural competency and cultural nursing competence educational needs of public health nurses (PHNs) and community health practitioners (CHPs) and to uncover the difference between the two groups. Methods: The subjects of this study were 217 PHNs and 165 CHPs. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, an independent two-sample t-test, the x2 test, one-way ANOVA, and the Scheffé test were used for data analysis. Result: There was no statistically significant difference between the cultural competency of CHPs (4.27±1.00) and that of PHNs (4.10±1.07) which were at a moderate level. Among the subareas, cultural awareness and sensitivity were above average, but cultural skills and knowledge showed relatively low scores. There was no statistically significant difference between the cultural nursing competence educational needs of CHPs (3.85±0.65) and PHNs (3.90±0.70) and these were at a relatively high level. Among the subareas, knowledge of key concepts, cultural communication, and attitudes and skills were above average. Conclusion: The results of this study highlight the need to develop and implement educational programs to enhance the cultural competency of PHNs and CHPs nationwide using various teaching-learning methods.

A framework of examining the factors affecting public acceptance of nuclear power plant: Case study in Saudi Arabia

  • The Saudi National Atomic Energy project aims to adopt peaceful nuclear technologies and be part of the country's energy mix. As emerging nuclear energy, it is essential to understand public concerns and acceptability of nuclear energy, as well as the factors influencing acceptance to develop nuclear energy policy and implement nuclear energy programs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the public attitudes and acceptance of nuclear energy among Saudi Arabian citizens by utilizing protection motivation theory and theory of planned behavior. A total of 1,404 participants answered a questionnaire which was distribute by convenience sampling approach. A Structural Equation Modeling framework was constructed and analyzed to understand public behavior toward building the country's first Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). Before analyzing the data, the model was validated. The research concluded that the benefits of nuclear power plants were essential in determining people's acceptance of NPPs. Surprisingly, the effect of the perceived benefits was found higher than the effect of the perceived risks to the acceptance. Furthermore, the public's participation in this study revealed that the NPPs location has a significant impact on their acceptance. Based on the finding, several policy implementations were suggested. Finally, the study's model results would benefit scholars, government agencies, and the business sector in Saudi Arabia and worldwide.

친환경농산물의 구매요인이 소비자태도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Purchasing Factors of Environment-Friendly Agricultural Products on Consumer Attitude and Purchasing Intention)

  • 본 연구는 친환경농산물에 대한 여성들의 구매의도를 파악하기 위하여 부산에 거주하는 215명의 여성들을 대상으로 구매요인(인지도, 건강관심도, 환경관심도), 소비자태도, 구매의도와의 인과관계를 분석하고, 구매횟수에 따른 구매요인과 소비자태도, 그리고 소비자태도와 구매의도와의 조절효과를 검정하였다. 검정결과, 친환경농산물에 대한 구매요인은 모두 소비자태도에 유의한 인과관계를 확인하였다. 그리고 소비자태도 또한, 구매의도에 유의한 인과관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 구매횟수의 조절효과는 소비자태도가 구매의도에 미치는 영향에서만 유의하게 분석되어 구매횟수에 따른 소비자태도는 구매의도에 강도를 달리하는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구에 제시된 내용들은 친환경농산물에 대하여 인지하고, 건강에 관심이 있고, 환경보호에 관심을 가지는 소비자들은 친환경농산물에 대한 태도는 긍정적이며, 구매의도 또한 높다는 것을 의미하고 있다. 따라서 정부 및 지역단체에서도 국민들에게 친환경농산물에 대한 홍보를 강화한다면 친환경농산물의 소비는 촉진될 것이고, 이에 따라 농민들의 소득 또한, 증가한다면 친환경농산물을 재배하는 농민들은 늘어날 것이다. 이는 궁극적으로 우리나라 자연환경을 보호하고, 국민들의 건강증진에도 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

실용적 쇼핑가치와 지각된 품질에 따른 PB제품에 대한 소비자태도에 관한 연구 (Research on Practical Shopping Value and Consumer Attitudes on PB Products According to Perceived Quality)

  • Purpose - The current analysis has been done in order to verify the difference between consumer attitudes on the distributor's PB products in terms of practical shopping value and attitudes about the product according to its perceived quality. Research design, data, and methodology - The target respondents of this study were those who have bought PB products at large-scale discount stores within the past six months. We asked homemakers, office workers, and students who live in Seoul or Daejon to respond to a questionnaire by filling out self-evaluations, and collected the completed questionnaires. To test the hypothesis, a t-test was carried out by group for 25 percent of the high and low rankings, including a quarter of the total respondents, to verify attitudes toward products and brands, purchase satisfaction, and re-purchase intention according to the practical shopping value and recognized quality of PB products. A variance analysis was conducted to see if there were differences among groups in terms of practical shopping value and perceived quality. Scheffe's back testing was used to identify differences between groups. Results - The result of the investigation of consumer attitudes according to practical shopping value is as follows. First, it was verified that consumer attitudes about PB products increase as practical shopping value increases. Second, there was no significant. Third, it was verified that repurchase intentions for PB products get higher as the practical shopping value of the consumer increases. The following is the result of the investigation of consumer attitudes according to the perceived quality of PB products. First, it was verified that the product attitude improves as the perceived quality of PB products increases. Second, the research confirmed that the brand attitude improves as the perceived quality of PB products increases. Third, consumer satisfaction is higher when the perceived quality of PB products is high. Fourth, this study verified that repurchase intentions for PB products are higher as the perceived quality of the product increases. Finally, the results of identifying differences between groups for perceived quality and shopping value are as follows. It was identified that there were differences in shopping value according to the characteristics of the groups. However, perceived quality does not change according to the characteristics of groups. Conclusions - These results have practical implications for the marketing strategy of PB products in order to satisfy consumer demands and provide a differentiated service by the distributor. In addition, it is suggested that a communication strategy may be necessary to increase brand loyalty and ensure the continual growth and value creation of PB products as symbolic products for distributors.

정신질환에 대한 중소규모 사업장 중간관리자의 인식 및 태도 (Cognition and Attitudes toward Psychological Problems among Middle Managers in Small and Medium-sized Workplaces)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify attitudes of middle managers toward employees with psychological problems and to determine factors affecting their attitudes. Methods: A questionnaire with Community Attitudes Toward Mentally Ill (CAMI) scales was administered to 161 middle managers working in small and medium-sized enterprises based in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Results: There are four separate subscales on the CAMI. Mean score for authoritarianism was $35.0{\pm}4.4$, benevolence $23.0{\pm}4.8$, social restrictiveness $32.3{\pm}4.9$ and community mental health ideology $27.2{\pm}5.1$ According to multiple regression analysis, middle managers with no experience of learning mental illness through mass media or higher levels of depression symptom were more authoritative and less benevolent towards employees with psychological problems. The experience of meeting a patient with mental problem contribute to positive attitudes toward people with mental illnesses in social restrictiveness subscale and community mental health ideology subscale among CAMI. Conclusion: This study suggests that experience of having patients with mental problems and information on psychological problems will have great influence on attitudes of middle managers toward employees with psychological problems. It might be important to help middle manager manage their depression because their depression also affects their attitudes toward employees with psychological problems.

희소성 메시지의 조절초점 및 가격할인에 대한 조절효과 : 온라인 판촉 메시지를 중심으로 (The Moderate Effectiveness On Regulatory Focus And Prices Discounts Of Scarcity Messages)

  • 본 연구는 온라인에서 이루어지는 판매촉진 메시지의 대표적인 유형인 수량한정 메시지와 시간한정 메시지가 조절초점과 가격할인 유무에 따라 판촉태도와 구매의도에 어떠한 조절 역할을 하는지를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 수량한정 메시지의 경우 촉진초점 보다는 예방초점 메시지에 대한 판촉태도와 구매의도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 희소성 메시지가 단순히 조절초점 뿐 아니라 가격할인과 같은 판촉 활동에 의해 다양하게 조절될 수 있다는 점이 확인되었다. 즉, 수량한정 메시지의 경우 가격할인이 제시되지 않은 메시지보다는 가격할인이라는 메시지가 제시되었을 때 판촉태도와 구매의도가 증폭된다는 점이 증명되었다. 그러나 시간한정 메시지의 경우에는 이러한 가격할인이라는 추가적인 가치가 판촉태도와 구매의도에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는다는 점이 발견되었다.

고교생의 모유영양 지식과 태도 및 모유수유 영양교육 요구 (A Study on Knowledges and Attitudes about Breast Milk Feeding and Needs for Breast Milk Feeding Education among High School Students)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the experiences of breast milk feeding information and education, breast milk feeding knowledge and attitude and needs for breast milk feeding nutrition education of high school students to encourage breast milk feeding. The subjects were 565 (male: 250, female: 315) high school students from first to third grade. The results obtained were as follows: In this survey, only 30.0% of subjects experienced breast milk feeding information and only 6.1% of subjects had breast milk feeding education. And the subjects showed the average scores of knowledge of breast milk feeding were 0.29 points of 1 point. Subjects knew well about ingredients of breast milk but they didn't know well about the physiology and method of breast milk feeding and benefits of breast milk feeding for mothers. The average scores of attitude of breast milk feeding were 3.03 points of 4 points, showed slight positive attitudes of breast milk feeding, but they had negative attitudes of emotional and practical aspects. The future plan of feeding practices was breast milk feeding 35.9% and 60.0% of formula milk feeding. A concern was that the students showed high ratio of formula milk feeding plan and they decided by incorrect knowledge of breast milk feeding. The 33.5% of students answered high school students will need breast milk feeding nutrition education, and they thought hospital faculties were the proper educators of breast milk feeding education, but dietitians were recomended as educators because of easy access at school and good knowledge of life-cycle nutrition. Therefore, to encourage breast milk feeding by mothers and supporters of breast milk feeding, breast milk feeding nutrition education is needed urgently among high school male and female students. And nutrition education programs will have to contain benefits of breast milk for babies and mothers and physiology and practical methods of breast milk feeding to improve emotional and practical attitudes for breast milk feeding. Nationwide campaign to promote breast milk feeding at public areas will be needed.

계획적 행동이론에 의한 초임 여성의 모유수유 실천의도 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on Predicting Behavioral Intention of Breastfeeding among Primigravida)

  • This study was conducted to examine the predicting factors for the intention of breastfeeding with The Theory of Planned Behavior. The questionnaires were distributed to 131 primigravidas who were in their third trimester of pregnancy in Seoul, Kyonggido, Kyongsangbukdo, and Kyongsnagnamdo. Descriptive statistics, Pearsons Correlation and Multiple Regression were used to analyse the data. The subjects showed strong intention of breastfeeding. The subjects showed favorable attitudes toward breastfeeding. This fact showed significant correlation with the belief that their breastfeeding intention was due to the advantage of breast milk for the infant with regard to allergy prevention, disease protection, contribution to intellectual development, psychological closeness between mother and infant, convenience, cost, and the reduction of breast cancer risk and weight of the mother. No item of outcome evaluation did showed significant correlation with behavioral intension. The subjects were influenced about breastfeeding by their referents such as siblings and friends with breastfeeding experience, their mothers and husbands, and mothers-in-law. Most items of the control beliefs had a significant influence on the intention of breastfeeding. The subjects felt they could not control the situation ie. "when I have to breastfeed in public". However they felt they could control the situation ie. "when I suffer from mastitis", "when I have to cut down on coffee, alcohol, and smoking", "when I have Caesarean section", "when I need to maintain breast condition", and "when the infant hates to suck my nipple". Regression analysis revealed that control beliefs and attitudes toward breastfeeding could predict the behavioral intention of breastfeeding. Control beliefs were the most important factor in predicting behavioral intention. Therefore, nutrition education is needed to enhance the ability to cope with difficult situations while breastfeeding and increase faborable attitudes toward breastfeeding.eding and increase faborable attitudes toward breastfeeding.

의료소비자, 서비스 및 시장 특성요인과 고객충성도와의 관계 분석 -1개 중소도시의 의료이용 경험자를 대상으로- (How Are Consumers, Service and Market Factors Related to Customer Loyalty in Medical Service? -Targeting the Medical Consumer in a City-)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to explore customer royalty and the related factors. Methods : 900 households(a 1% sample) were randomly selected from the total population of K city located in Kangwon province. An interview survey was performed with using a structured questionnaire for the subjects(923 persons) who had used medical service during the year before the survey, and the survey was done September, 2002. Results : When comparing the relating factors related with customer royalty according to the sociodemographic characteristics, the older group showed a significantly higher level of recognition for service quality, service reputation, internal customers' attitudes and switching cost. The lower income group showed a higher level of recognition for service quality, service image and switching cost. The lower educated group showed a higher level of recognition for service reputation, service image and internal customers' attitudes. The higher educated group showed a higher level of recognition for perceived risk, and seeking variety. In addition, the expert group or the service and manufacturing workers group showed a higher level of recognition for service involvement. On multiple regression analysis, internal customers' attitudes, service image, service reputation, service quality, switching cost, and substitutability showed significant relations with customer loyalty. Conclusions : This study showed that customer loyalty was significantly influenced by service factors like internal customers' attitudes, service image, service reputation, and service quality, and by market factors like switching cost, and substitutability. The results of this study can be used as a baseline for developing strategies to create and keep customers with high loyalty.
