This paper discusses the programming model of SODA-II that is a baseband processor for software defined radio (SDR) systems. Signal processing On-Demand Architecture Ⅱ (SODA-II) is an on-chip multiprocessor architecture consisting of four processor cores and each core has both an wide SIMD datapath and a scalar datapath. This architecture is appropriate for baseband processing that is a mixture of vector computations and scalar computations. The programming model of the SODA-II is based on C library routines. Because the library routines hide the details of complex SIMD datapath control procedures, end users can easily program the SODA-II without deep understanding on its architecture. In this paper, we discuss the details of library routines and how these routines are exploited in the implementation of baseband signal processing algorithms. As application examples, we show the implementation result of W-CDMA multipath searcher and OFDM demodulator on the SODA-II.

Information science is the study how in formation is transferred and all the intermediate steps of collecting, organizing, interpreting, storing, retrieving, disseminating and trans foming information. Professional education means the transfer of knowledge, the development of cognitive abilities and the infusion of professional attitudes. Training may be defined as practice-based instruction in the development and use of professional skills. Each is affected by the confluence of social, economic and technological realities of the environment where the learning takes place. We have witnessed controversy about methods of curriculum revision and change. Should information science courses be added to the traditional library science curriculum or should the new approaches be integrated within the subject matter of each individual course? The article is based upon the assumption that education for librarianship is at a turning point. To provide this information, 25 curricula of colleges and universities were analysed to assist in the study. Also 32 information professionals were asked to assist in the study. In the experimental part of this study, curricula based on the education and training of library and information profession als were examined. The most frequently offered compulsory course 'Introduction to Information Science' exposes students to a new way of looking at library and information problems. Information retrieval, library automation, computer programming, data processing, indexing and abstraction, communication, system analysis has offered. These indicate a curriculum slowly shift from traditional librarianship to an emphasis on computerization and automation. Also from a questionnaire listing 58 events might influence library and information science education.

Through the close examination of characteristics of adolescent, social institutions and its programs, and newly added and expanded library reference services. it is founded that new role and qualifications of young adult reference librarians are prerequisite subject. The following are the summary of new role and qualifications of specialized young adult reference librarianship. 1. Adequate training and education for the YA librarians is needed in order to have understanding of their characteristics (physiology, psychology, personality etc.). 2. Because of librarian's unique exposure to human relations and their personal awareness of other people's need, YA librarian should bring a person-centered managerial technique. 3. Librarianship may not have a clinical counseling function but to provide right answer or information, the librarian become counselor inescapably. 4. Librarians are not professionally trained to be experts on counseling in sex education. However, librarians can play an important role in educating YA by committing book selection, reader's advisory, referral services, library programming and staff development planning.

This dissertation are studying the conceptual structure of decision making situation in libraries, by analyzing the library function, decision makings of library and then seeking economic and efficient alternative decision making by programming the· decision making situations, and finally, introducing how to apply management information system or decision making support system. For this purpose, in order to analyzing necessary factors for the decision making system, the questionnaire used Lickert method were distributed to 400 librarians of 36 universities in Seoul by means of mail. 193 librarians, $48\%$ of the questionnaire, are returned are studied by using 'SYSTAT' statistical software to figure out the factors of the decision making system. This dissertation was put six hypotheses and tested with the returned questionnaire. The following five result can be asserted. First, to the higher degree of the librarians' participation in the important library decision makings, the quality of formal library services are improved regardless of seniority of the work. Secondly, the t-test results show that all of t-test scores of seniority of the work, educational background, and responsibilities of the work are exceeding significant level and perception of decision making was proved to be different depending on seniority of the work, educational background, and responsibilities of the work in libraries. Thirdly, as the results of factor af factor analysis, the encouragement on participation in the library academic activities, the extent to get useful information about performances of library and the improvements of library works were grouped by similar posibilities of distribution and therfore the academic activities, the collection of information and the improvement of library performances is proved to be interrelational each other. Fourthly, the fifth hypothesis of the close relationship between the decision making situation and types of advisor by it was more or less interrelational, but their relationship was not seen some significancies. Lastly, as the dynamic organization of library management forming a special commitee or a project team with librarian can improve the extent and quality of the librarian's participation in the decision making of library works, and thus library will become to performance more rational and effective library management.

The European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) Technical Committee (TC) Reconfigurable Radio Systems (RRS) is standardizing the multi-mode Mobile Device (MD). The configuration of multi-mode MD is determined by the downloaded mobile communication standard software. In this paper, we introduce the Radio Library concept for multi-mode MD which is one of the key components of RRS standard. This paper also introduces the Standard Functional Block which is a part of Radio Library. A method for selecting efficiency SFBs for multi-mode MD is presented and a Radio Library is generated based on the selected SFBs. This paper also shows sample Standard Functional Block Set which included in Radio Library. In order to verify the compatibility of the generated Radio Library which was made by C language, we implement the LTE Rel-10 and Wi-Fi(802.11b) to show the efficiency of generating a mobile communication standard software based on the Radio Library. Then using the Prograph Visual Programming MartenTM 1.6.4, we compiled our LTE Rel-10 and Wi-Fi(802.11b) source code.

In medical image processing, if new technologies arc developed, they arc applied to real clinical cases. The results are to be analyzed by doctors to improve the new technologies. So, it is important for doctors to have a tool that helps the doctors in applying the new technologies to clinical cases and analyzing the clinical results. In this paper, we design and implement a visual programming environment where non-programming experts, such as medical doctors, can easily compose a medical image processing application program. A set of image processing functions are implemented and represented as icons. Thc user selects functions by clicking correslxmding icons. The users can easily find necessary' functions from the visualized library. A user selects a function from the visualized library and [Jut the function node into a canvas of Visual Programming Interface. The user connects nodes to compose a dataflow diagram. The connected dataflow diagram shows the now of the program. Hyperbolic Tree is helpful in visualizing a set of function icons in a single screen because it provides both the whole stmcture of the function Iihrary and the details of the focused functions at the same time. We also developed a CUI builder where the user interfaces of the medical image processing applications are composed. Therefore. non'programming experts such as physicians can apply new medical image processing algorithms to clinical cases without performing complex computer programming procedures.

Integer programming-based local search(IPbLS) is a kind of local search based on simple hill-climbing search and adopts integer programming for neighbor generation unlike general local search. According to an existing research [1], IPbLS is known as an effective method for the multidimensional knapsack problem(MKP) which has received wide attention in operations research and artificial intelligence area. However, the existing research has a shortcoming that it verified the superiority of IPbLS targeting only largest-scale problems among MKP test problems in the OR-Library. In this paper, I verify the superiority of IPbLS more objectively by applying it to other problems. In addition, unlike the existing IPbLS that combines simple hill-climbing search and integer programming, I propose methods combining other local search algorithms like hill-climbing search, tabu search, simulated annealing with integer programming. Through the experimental results, I confirmed that IPbLS shows comparable or better performance than the best known heuristic search also for mid or small-scale MKP test problems.

A post-processing program based on the OOP(Object-Oriented Programming) concept has been developed for flow visualization of the flow analysis code(PowerCFD) using unstructured cell-centered method. User-friendly GUI(GTaphic User Interface) has been built on the base of MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class). The program is organized as modules by classes including those based on VTK(Visualization ToolKit)-library, and these classes are made to function through inheritance and cooperation which is an important and valuable OOP concept. The major functions of this post-processor program are introduced and demonstrated, which include mesh plot, contour plot, vector plot, surface plots, cut plot, clip plot, xy-plot and streamline plot as well as view manipulation (translation, rotation, scaling etc).

In the previous research, we proposed a Kinetic typography font engine that can easily add motion to text with function call only. However, since it is aimed at constructing movements for a sentence, there is still inconvenience in the production of various kinetic typography motions in word or letter unit. We propose Kinetic Typical Extended Motion API(Application Programming Interface) that extends Kinetic Motion API. The extended Kinetic Typographic Font Engine aims to simplify the process of making kinetic typography in words and letters, including the kinetic typographic motion library provided as a function. In addition, various applications that can apply Kinetic typography A kinetic typography authoring interface is provided for facilitating the construction of a motion library for the robot.
