결혼이민자 주부의 이유식에 대한 지식 및 인지도 조사 (A Study on the Knowledge of Immigrant Housewives on Infant Weaning)

  • As the public is already aware, baby food has a significant effect on a baby's physical and mental health. It is also very important because choice of baby food forms proper eating habits, which will affect health in the future. In particular, recognition of appropriate baby food by the mother or the primary care provider is even more important. Although many studies have been conducted on this matter for domestic housewives, no studies have been conducted on married immigrant housewives whose numbers are increasing every year. A survey was conducted on the recognition and current situation of baby food preparation by mothers living in Gangwon Province with children 6 to 36-months-old. The purpose of the study was to research the level of understanding of baby food by immigrant housewives given that they were raised in different environments with different eating habits and child raising norms. And additional purpose was to provide proper educational material and direction for choosing appropriate baby food. The results showed significant differences depending on the nationality and age of the mother. Moreover, the results showed an insufficient understanding of baby food but a high desire for education, as mothers did not receive enough support from society. Therefore, necessary education should be provided systematically after mothers fully learn to communicate in Korean. These mothers need continuous attention and support, so they can settle in this country as wives, daughters-in-law, and mothers. Moreover, the needed professional education should be provided so that the mothers can learn traditional Korean eating habits and understand differences in the culture and environment between countries. As the selection of baby food forms the basis of future eating habits and the foundation for good health, proper education should be available to establish healthy intercultural families.

신생아를 돌보는 간호사들의 전문직 자아개념 및 환자 프라이버시 보호행동 (Neonatal Nurse's Professional Self-concept and Behavior to Protect Patient Privacy)

  • Purpose: With the rapid increase in information technology in the medical environment, protection of patient's privacy is a crucial issue to hospital nurses. The purpose of this study was to determine neonatal nurses' perception and performance of behavior to protect patient privacy, and professional self-concept, and to investigate the relationships among these variables. Methods: The participants in this descriptive correlation study were 182 nurses in nursery and neonatal intensive care units using EMR or OCS in November, 2011. Results: Perception and performance averaged 4.61 and 4.04 (out of 5) respectively, and the average score for professional self-concept was 2.73 (out of 4). There was a significant difference between perception and performance. The performance of behaviour to protect patient privacy had a positive correlation with perception and professional self-concept. Multiple regression analysis showed that the key determinants of performance were recognition of necessity of patient privacy education, professional self-concept and perception, and these explained 36% of the total variance of performance. Conclusion: Study results indicate a need to establish policy to protect privacy of neonates and their families, and to develop educational programs to enhance neonatal nurses' perception and performance.

APEC ENGINEER 상호인정 제도 (Mutual Recognition of APEC Engineer)

  • This study introduces the framework of the mutual recognition project of APEC Engineer and also tries to find out what we, Korean engineers have to do with this project. The mutual recognition framework consists of 2 main frameworks ; the substantial equivalence framework and the mutual exemption framework. The participating Economies have discussed and agreed on the framework of the substantial equivalency and have been producing APEC Engineers from the 1st, Nov 2000 based on this agreement. However, more discussions will be required from now on in order to finalize the mutual exemption agreement, even though there have been a lot of discussions including the workshop for the regulatory authority for the last 5 years. Here we have to study and find out what we have to do with this project and prepare for the bilateral agreements and the Coordinating Committee meeting to be held in Hongkong in Oct this year.

조경기술사 시험의 출제경향 - 현행 기출문제에 대한 수험생의 인식정도를 중심으로 - (Tendencies in Question Development on the Professional Landscape Architect Qualification Examination - Centered on Recognition of Test-Takers for Sample Questions from Previous Professional Landscape Architect Tests -)

  • 본 연구는 조경기술사 검정제도의 출제문제에 대하여 수험생들이 인식하는 체감 정도, 즉 문제의 객관성, 적정성, 난이도 등 출제되는 문제의 전반에 대한 경향을 분석 제언하여 검정제도가 학술적, 체계적으로 개선됨으로써, 조경기술사 검정제도의 정착과 조경기술사 자격의 위상 확립, 산업현장에서의 조경분야 지위 향상 등 전반적인 조경발전을 목적으로 이번 연구를 실시하였다. 조사방법은 두 단계로 나누어 전문가 집단을 활용하여 출제되는 과목 및 과목의 배정에 관한 사항을 조사하였고, 수험생 및 자격취득자를 대상으로 출제문제의 수준, 객관성, 난이도, 출제경향 등 출제되는 문제의 전반에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 먼저 조경기술사 검정 시 출제되는 과목이 국가기술자격법 시행규칙에 제시된 시험과목과는 달리 출제되고 있었으며, 과목배정, 시험문제의 객관성, 수준, 난이도 등에서 다양한 문제점을 내포하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문제점의 원인은 여러 가지 요인이 있겠지만 충분한 검토 없이 문제출제, 출제위원의 관리 미흡 등 현재 진행되고 있는 검정제도의 시스템을 운영하는데 문제가 있지 않나 판단된다. 따라서 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 '출제되는 시험과목의 정비', '적정한 과목 배정 및 문제의 객관성 확보', '출제문제의 수준 및 난이도 유지', '출제 시스템 개선'등에 대하여 관련부처나 단체에서는 효율적인 개선노력이 필요함을 제언하였다.

간호사 경력개발시스템에 대한 인식도 조사 (Career Ladder System Perceived by Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate how nurses perceive the Career Ladder System(CLS). Methods: This study was a descriptive survey using questionnaires. Questionnaires were developed by an expert group. Participants included 161 nurses working in the Children's Hospital. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test and ANCOVA. Results: This study revealed that nurses who advanced in their career ladders have a significantly higher perception of participation in their professional activities and a general comprehension of the CLS more than the nurses who did not advance in their career ladders. However, nurses who advanced in their career ladders have a significantly lower perception of the expected outcome of the CLS more than nurses who did not. Conclusions: This result showed that nurses who had experienced in clinical advancement and recognition were highly motivated with their professional activities via the CLS as well as they considered it to allow professional growth.

신규 간호사가 인식하는 좋은 간호사 이미지: Q-방법론 접근 (A Positive Image of Nurses as Perceived by New Nurses: Applying Q-Methodology)

  • Purpose: This study verified the characteristics and types of perceptions and attitudes toward a positive image of nurses, as perceived by new nurses, by applying Q-methodology. Methods: Participants were 37 new nurses serving at tertiary hospitals accommodating over 300 beds. Data were collected from April 1~30, 2021. Results: A positive image of nurses was categorized into four types: professional leadership, skilled empathy, experienced responsiveness, and cooperative sincerity. It is believed that this study will help establish a professional view of nurses by verifying the positive image of new nurses, who are likely to lead the future. Conclusion: Furthermore, by reducing the turnover of new nurses and increasing their job satisfaction, it would be possible to secure professional nursing personnel and the public's perception of good nurses, thereby contributing to the enhanced social status of nurses.

일부 성인의 치과위생사에 대한 전문직업인 이미지 관련요인 (Factors affecting the professional image of dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: To provide basic information for improving the professional image of the dental hygienist among adults who visit the dentist. Methods: From December 5, 2018 to January 25, 2019, 214 adults in Seoul or Gyeonggi filled out a Google online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple regression analysis. Results: The overall average score of the professional image of dental hygienists was 3.59. In addition, there were significant differences in the image according to age, education, and occupation. The image according to the dental visit experience was highest for those providing orthodontic treatment. The difference in professional image recognized by the dental hygienists and the patients was highest in the case of those dental hygienists responding that they had been educated at a four-year university, who were considered as medical practitioners, and were called a dental hygienist. Lastly, the factors related to the professional image of the dental hygienist were positively affected in the case of preventive purpose of visit, and graduate or higher education of the patients. Conclusions: In order to establish the professional image of dental hygienists, public relations for adequate occupational awareness of their work should be continued. Additionally, it is necessary to establish the role through the systematic expansion of the professional image and their being considered as medical professionals, reflecting the reality of the work field.

  • The theoretical rationale and basic materials for the improvement of the recognition on home economics teachers are suggested in this study through the close examination of the teacher’s recognition and its related variables. For this study, review of literature and questionnaire survey were performed. As the results, the following may be suggested. 1. There teachers more experienced and non-majored the home economics or those who finished professional course should be reeducated adequately for new direction of home economics education in secondary school and new curriculum. 2. The development of qualification for home economics teacher and the educational system and program for training preliminary should be try to find a solution to improve the new and positive recognition of home economics education in secondary school. 3. The institutional and environmental conditions, such as pay and welfare facilities, should be improved to satisfy home economics teacher with new view of home economics education in secondary school with their duties. 4. The systematic and concrete teaching programs for contents of improving new recognition of home economics education in secondary school, and for promoting positive self-recognition as home economics teacher, and for training the abilities of developing teaching materials and guiding practical techniques should be developed.

사회복지관 조직풍토 인식이 사회복지사의 전문성에 미치는 영향 (The influence of Organizational Climates on Social Workers' professionalism in Social Welfare Centers)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지관의 사회복지사를 대상으로 기관의 조직풍토에 대한 지각 정도를 측정하고, 사회복지사가 지각한 조직풍토 수준이 전문성에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해서 사회복지관 사회복지사 570명의 자료를 위계적 회귀분석 등을 통해 분석하였다. 사회복지관의 조직풍토가 사회복지사의 전문성에 영향을 주고 있다고 나타난 연구결과는 복지관의 풍토(분위기)를 어떻게 조성하고 관리하느냐에 따라 사회복지사의 전문성이 향상되기도 하며, 혹은 그렇지 못하기도 한다는 것이다. 이러한 조직풍토는 궁극적으로는 클라이언트에게 제공되는 서비스의 질과도 연관된 중요한 요소이기도 하다. 따라서 사회복지관 실정에 맞는 긍정적인 조직풍토를 조성하고 관리하도록 사회복지사와 운영자 모두의 노력이 필요하다.

간호사의 COVID-19 백신 접종의도 영향요인: 한국, 2021년 2월 시점을 중심으로 (Factors Influencing the COVID-19 Vaccination Intentions in Nurses: Korea, February 2021)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing COVID-19 vaccination intentions in nurses. Methods: The participants were 184 nurses in Korea. Data were collected using a Google Form online survey method in February, 2021, and analyzed using an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. Results: COVID-19 vaccination intention in nurses was correlated significantly with vaccine hesitancy (r = .58, p < .001), risk perception of COVID-19 (r = .22, p = .003), perception of vaccination as a professional duty (r = .59, p < .001), and attitude towards workplace infection control policies (r = .20, p = .007). Vaccine hesitancy (β = .40, p < .001) and the perception of vaccination as a professional duty (β = .44, p < .001) significantly influenced COVID-19 vaccination intention. The model developed in this study explained 50% of the variation in COVID-19 vaccination intention. Conclusion: Improving the perception of vaccination as a professional duty and lowering vaccine hesitancy may enhance nurses' COVID-19 vaccination intention. Above all, it is necessary to provide programs to encourage voluntary recognition of vaccination as a professional duty and develop strategies to reduce hesitancy toward COVID-19 vaccinations.
