고령친화제품 사용성평가 및 기업지원 (Usability Evaluation and Company Supporting of Senior-friendly Products)

  • 보행보조차와 욕창방지 매트리스를 포함하는 고령친화제품의 사용빈도는 고령자 인구의 증가에 의하여 높아지고 있다. 고령자의 경우, 인간공학적으로 잘못 디자인된 제품을 사용하는 경우 사용성 측면에서의 문제뿐만 아니라 안전성 측면에서도 심각한 문제를 야기할 수 있다. 고령자 사고의 상당부분은 고령친화제품을 사용하는 과정에서 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 고령친화제품을 사용할 때의 고령자의 사용성에 대하여 산학협력을 통하여 연구하였다. 사용성 평가 프로그램이 고령친화제품을 개발하거나 제조하는 기업을 지원하기 위하여 개발되었고, 보행보조차와 욕창방지 매트리스에 대한 사용성이 평가되었으며 그 결과가 기업에 제공되었다.

Unveiling the Effect of TechTubers' Unboxing Videos on Consumer Buying Behavior

  • Purpose: The study examines the effect of TechTubers' unboxing videos on consumer buying behavior by highlighting the role of product touch, visual and verbal sensory cues. The study integrates the vicarious touch and the dual coding theory to analyze the Smartphone purchase behavior of Generation Z. Research design, data and methodology: The study collected data from 349 respondents who were viewers of YouTube unboxing videos. A structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale was employed as a survey instrument. Convenience sampling technique was utilized to select the samples. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: Results reveal that vicarious touch and verbal description have a statistically significant positive effect on Generation Z's purchase intention of Smartphone. Moreover, purchase intention positively affects Generation Z's actual purchase behavior of Smartphone. However, the visual images did not significantly affect purchase intention. Conclusions: The study offers significant theoretical and practical implications. The study adds new knowledge to the extant literary field by highlighting the impact of digital product presentation in the form of Unboxing videos on purchase intention for technology products. Moreover, the study suggests content sponsorship and advertising opportunities for marketers in collaboration with the TechTubers on YouTube unboxing video platform.

A Study on the Effect of Packaging Design Considering SCM Aspects on Logistics Efficiency (Focusing on the case of domestic A company)

  • This study conducted a case study and a questionnaire analysis in parallel. In the case study, a study was conducted on domestic manufacturer A by analyzing pallet loading efficiency of RRP(Retail Ready Packaging) products and pallet loading efficiency of MWC(Membership Wholesale Club) delivered products. As a result of the pallet loading efficiency simulation of 50 RRP products of Manufacturer A, it was 80.0% based on the T-11 type pallet and 84.3% based on the T-12 type pallet. It was found It refers that the route of producing the product from the manufacturer A and delivering it to the MWC A in the form of RRP resulted in the decrease of the pallet loading efficiency through the change of the loading pattern and the adjustment of the number of loads. As a result of analyzing the questionnaire about whether the overall efficiency of the supply chain will be improved if the operation of the packaging system considering the SCM(Supply Chain Management) aspect is χ2 = 178.500, there was a statistically significant difference at the significance level of 0.000. Manufacturers and logistics companies answered "yes" the most, but distributors answered "is average" the most, confirming that the packaging can be constructed with the highest operational efficiency. Therefore, as a result of confirming the impact of packaging design considering the SCM aspect on logistics efficiency, it indicates the importance of closer collaboration between manufacturers and distributors.

  • 본 논문은 세계 여러나라의 대학들이 다학제간 자동차 개발 프로젝트를 공동으로 수행함으로써 혁신적 공학교육 환경을 구축하기 위한 노력을 기술하였다. 이 프로젝트의 주 목적은 학생들로 하여금 신속한 설계와 제조에 대한 실질적 경험을 갖도록 하는 동시에 국제적 규모의 협업을 통하여 다른 국가의 다른 전공의 학생들과 의사전달 경험을 쌓도록 하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 먼저 산업디자인 전공학생과 공학전공 학생들간에 긴밀한 협조환경을 강조하였으며 이는 프로젝트에 있어서 설계와 제조간의 공조의 어려움 뿐만 아니라 서로 다른 전공의 특히다른 국가의 대학들의 학생들끼리 스스로 프로젝트 팀을 구성하고 분업하여 효율적으로 협업을 이루어 가야 한다는 점에서 중요한 교육적 시도임을 시사하였다. 또한 향후 각 대학에서는 지속적인 의사전달기술을 토대로 팀기반 협업환경에서의 설계교육을 강화하여 국제적 공학혁신 교육환경을 조성하기 위한 노력이 중요하다는 점을 제시하였다.

Analysis and survey of design decision making process in steel production process

  • In the building construction, the steel-frame work occupies an important position in terms of structure, cost and quality. Especially in Japan, steel frames have traditionally been the main structure of many buildings. For steel-frame works in such positions, this paper investigates an existing steel fabricator to clarify the actual conditions of design decision making process and management method in steel production process. This study focuses on a steel fabricator (Company M in the following sentences), whose main market is Japan and which has facilities in Thailand, China, and Japan. Company M uses QR codes to control the production status of products, and exchanges all information between inside and outside the company via specialized departments in the form of documents. The authors have already analyzed the relationship between production lead time and defect rate based on actual project data at Architectural Institute of Japan in 2016. In 2019, we expressed the process from the confirmation of the design information of the current steel frame to the production by WBS, and clarified the relationship between the production lead time and steel frame product quality structurally. In this paper, the authors reoport the progress of the survey conducted so far, the positioning of the collected data, and the future survey policy.

An Instructional Design for International Collaborative Learning Focusing on Communication

  • The advantages of the Internet enable teachers in the world to break the communication barriers between their schools and collaborate with each other, giving them opportunities for richer educational practices than ever accomplished. I assume that collaborative learning like an international exchange naturally lead the students to acquire the knowledge to communicate with their peers using ICT skills. In this paper, two international exchange projects that have years of practice are reported, i.e., new types of collaborative education projects that the development of the Internet has enabled us to carry out. The international exchanges reported here have been possible because both students and teachers have effectively used the various functions of the Internet. To use English as a "common international communication language" is particularly important for the youth in Asia, and the students have come to realize the importance of English as a communication language through these projects. Also, since these practices are based on the infrastructure of the Internet, they have elucidated what kind of Internet use produces richer educational results .At the final stage of the exchanges, "joint presentation in English" is designed. Students communicate and collaborate over the network, and finally meet with each other and try to give a presentation as a product of their collaborative work. The files and scenes of their presentations are stored on the network and used as educational materials in Asia as well as models for the activities in the following years. We will report how to design international exchange education in this Internet age.

  • Since software development team members have been more geographically spread due to the globalization of business and Internet technologies, the management of deliverables and communication efforts for developing high-quality software products on time is becoming more complicated. Among the functional requirements for collaborative software development management, the manipulation of shared information objects is essential for the collaborative work among distributed development team members. This paper proposes an integrated information object management framework comprised of a so-called BOC (Bill Of Class) scheme and a standardized software part dictionary for managing shared information objects efficiently among distributed co-workers. In order to manage these complex information objects, the proposed framework adopt product structures represented by Bills Of Materials (BOM) as stems for integrating the various information objects. Based on the proposed framework, a collaborative software development management system (CSDMS) is implemented, and the functionalities and the structure of the system are also described in this paper. The proposed system provides sufficient functionalities for the change management of information objects and the management of their relationship to other objects rather than existing system.

JT를 이용한 CAE 해석결과 가시화 (Visualization of CAE Analysis Results using JT)

  • In the manufacturing industries, viewing CAE analysis results is frequently required during the product development process for design verification. CAE data which include all related information of an analysis is, however, not efficiently shared among designers because CAE data size is in general large to deal with. In order to increase collaboration among designers this paper introduces the development of a CAE visualization system based on JT format exploiting for a large model visualization with a scene graph-based toolkit. Since CAE analysis results and JT format have different structure we developed a translator to convert the CAE result in binary format to the JT format. To show the effectiveness of JT format in showing the CAE result we also developed a prototype viewer offering basic functions provided by commercial systems. By using JT format we are able not only to reduce the size of analysis results, but to store a series of analysis results with several LOD in a data file.

지리적으로 분산된 디자이너들을 위한 3D 디자인 협업 환경 - 공유 조작과 원격 실재감을 지원하는 증강현실 기반 인터랙션 기법을 중심으로 - (Collaborative 3D Design Workspace for Geographically Distributed Designers - With the Emphasis on Augmented Reality Based Interaction Techniques Supporting Shared Manipulation and Telepresence -)

  • 국제화, 전문화, 분업화 되고 있는 비즈니스 환경으로 인해 제품 디자인 프로세스에서 협업의 중요성은 날로 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 공간에 존재하는 디자인 전문가들이 3D 모델을 함께 검토하고 논의할 수 있는 실시간 원격디자인 협업 환경을 제안한다. 특히 원격 협업 환경에서 원격 실재감, 공유조작, 상대 인식 등의 비언어적인 의사소통 방법을 제공하는 새로운 인터랙션 기법을 개발하고, 디자인 리뷰와 관련된 작업에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지 평가하였다. 관련연구 조사와 디자인 협업 행태의 관찰 실험을 기반으로 작업대상 관련, 작업공간 관련, 상대인식 관련 요구사항을 도출하였다. 이를 충족시키기 위해 증강현실(Augmented Reality) 기반의 3차원 원격 협업 환경을 구축하였고 원격 사용자에 대한 존재감을 제공하는 회전원반(Turn-table)과 가상그림자(Virtual Shadow)라는 인터랙션 도구를 개발하였다. 회전원반은 가상모델의 조작에 직관성을 부여하고 상대의 조작에 물리적인 단서를 제공한다. 가상그림자는 상대의 위치, 제스처, 지시 등의 인식 정보를 지속적이고 자연스럽게 제공한다. 평가 실험을 통하여 새로운 인터랙션 도구들이 3D 모델의 검토에 있어서 대략적인 지시를 효과적으로 지원하며 수정사항에 대한 논의를 촉진시킴을 알 수 있었다. 연구 결과는 가상의 3차원 모델을 다루는 원격에 위치한 사용자들(디자이너-디자이너, 디자이너-엔지니어, 혹은 디자이너-모델러 등) 간의 자연스러운 의사소통을 촉진하고 협업의 효율을 증대시키는데 기여할 수 있다.

소비가치와 경험적 제품평가가 희소성 메시지 효과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Consumers Value and Experience Quality on the Effects of Scarcity Message Types)

  • The major aim of this study was to find out that the relation between consumers value and experience quality toward purchase intention in addition to the influence of the consumers value and experience quality on the effects of scarcity message types collaboration using limited edition in global SPA brand. As a result of an empirical analysis, it shows that consumers value and experience quality are co-related to the intention of purchase, especially, brand familiarity and reputation influenced scarcity valuation in the affirmative and both emotional value and epistemic value influenced the intention of purchase under scarcity message. The moderating effect of consumers value and experience quality however, turns out to be not significant although its effect is directionally supported that is purchase intention was high when scarcity message is shown. Moreover, emotional epistemic group was influenced by scarcity message so we found that consumers value is changed to emotional with subjective. This result indicates that we need the scarcity message type reflecting the characteristics of consumers value and experience quality to increase customer's purchase intention.
