  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 품질관리(品質管理)의 추진(推進)을 비용(費用) 지향적(指向的)인 방법(方法)과 공정지향적(工程指向的)인 방법(方法)으로 대별(大別)하고 각각(各各)의 특징(特徵)을 설명(說明)함과 아울러 비교분석(比較分析) 하였다. 또 현장(現場) Q.C 담당기술자(擔當技術者)들이 품질관리(品質管理)를 실시(實施)함에 있어서 방향(方向)을 모색한다거나 현재(現在) 실시(實施)하고 있는 방법(方法)의 부당성(不當性)을 첵크하기 위한 기준(基準)을 비용함수(費用函數)로서 제시(提示)하였다.

공공사업 경쟁입찰에서 낙찰자 결정방법분석 및 국방획득사업의 합리적인 사업자결정 방안 (Contract Awarding Process and its Reasonable Improvement for Defense Acquisition)

  • The current contract awarding process regulated by laws and ordinances is analyzed and more reasonable processes are suggested. To this end, the principle of economic analysis is described with emphasis on the cost-effectiveness analysis, and the laws and ordinances regulating the process are thoroughly examined. The current contract awarding rule is based on the weighted sum of effectiveness score and cost score. This may not conform to the framework of economic analysis where effectiveness is supposed to be measured as an output and cost measured as an input. An improvement is attempted to the defense acquisition system and it is recognized that the economic analysis and policy consideration should be performed separately. Concept of statistical testing is introduced to see if the results of the cost effectiveness analyses show the significant difference between the alternatives. It is suggested that the contract awarding process can be improved by performing significance test followed by the aggregation of the two analyses. A minor improvement is also suggested on the application of current rules.

  • 본 연구에서는 BIM(building information modeling)을 활용한 비용 기반 MEP(mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) 조율 프로세스를 제안하였다. 제안된 프로세스는 MEP 부재간 간섭 해결뿐만 아니라 MEP 조율 과정에서 의사결정에 따른 MEP 관련 비용 변화를 정확하고, 빠르게 분석하고, 참여자와 공유할 수 있도록 해준다. 이를 위하여 MEP BIM 모델로부터 추출된 물량 정보와 비용 데이터베이스, 시간 정보를 통합했다. 제안된 프로세스의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 국내 건설 프로젝트 현장에 적용하였다. 적용 결과, 예상 비용 대비 약 1.6%의 MEP 관련 비용을 절감했다고 분석되었다.

Cost-Efficient and Automatic Large Volume Data Acquisition Method for On-Chip Random Process Variation Measurement

  • This paper proposes a cost-efficient and automatic method for large data acquisition from a test chip without expensive equipment to characterize random process variation in an integrated circuit. Our method requires only a test chip, a personal computer, a cheap digital-to-analog converter, a controller and multimeters, and thus large volume measurement can be performed on an office desk at low cost. To demonstrate the proposed method, we designed a test chip with a current model logic driver and an array of 128 current mirrors that mimic the random process variation of the driver's tail current mirror. Using our method, we characterized the random process variation of the driver's voltage due to the random process variation on the driver's tail current mirror from large volume measurement data. The statistical characteristics of the driver's output voltage calculated from the measured data are compared with Monte Carlo simulation. The difference between the measured and the simulated averages and standard deviations are less than 20% showing that we can easily characterize the random process variation at low cost by using our cost-efficient automatic large data acquisition method.

  • As low-cost optical waveguides of optical interconnects, we fabricate multimode optical waveguides using a molding process The core size of a optical waveguide is 47 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ $\times$ 41 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. We use the photoresist AZ9260 as a master, polydimethyl-siloxane (PDMS) as a mold. In transferring process to polymeric material, we employ a modified micro-transfer molding process. All processes are simple and low-cost.

  • The products to meet the requirement of are installed in nuclear power plant and the reliability target should be provided in the requirement. However, it is not easy to set a reliability target using quantitative analysis. The objective of this paper is to propose a method of reliability target setting considered warranty cost for process controller and then compare a reliability target with reliability analysis result.

  • Individual items are produced continuously from an industrial process. Each item is checked to determine whether it satisfies a lower screening limit for the quality characteristic which is the weight of an expensive ingredient. If it does, it is sold at a regular price; if it does not, it is reprocessed or sold at a reduced price. The process mean may be adjusted to a higher value in order to reduce the proportion of the nonconforming items. Using a higher process mean, however, may result in a higher production cost. In this paper, the optimal process mean and lower screening limit are determined in situations where the probability that an item functions well is given by a logistic function of the quality characteristic. Profit models are constructed which involve four price/cost components; selling prices, cost from an accepted nonconforming item, and reprocessing and inspection costs. Methods of finding the optimal process mean and lower screening limit are presented and numerical examples are given.

  • It is still difficult to share and utilize the information generated at each phase of a steel box girder production process due to the spatial gap and different level of management information. The physical distance results in the inefficiency of the information transmission, the accidental omission and typos of the relative information, and so on. Various levels of management information make it difficult to embody a new management system. Eventually, these factors incur the loss of cost and schedule and interrupt development of a new management system. This paper analyzes a current process and presents graphical process flow by using IDEF0. Based this analysis, the research for new production process and work breakdown structure (WBS) is conducted. At the end of this paper, the conceptual design of this system is suggested. Through new management system, it is expected that the model proposed in this study will improve the management process in the steel box production, and the improved process will reduce the redundant cost and schedule information, transmission and deposit generated by manual paper.

MQL 밀링가공의 가공성 및 비용 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Machinability and Cost Evaluation of MQL Milling Process)

  • This paper is related to MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) milling process, which is one of the environmentally friendly cuttings. The objective is to compare MQL milling process with conventional cutting fluid systems. To this end, machinability of MQL milling process was investigated, followed by the cost evaluation. Cutting force, surface roughness, tool wear, and cutting temperature were compared with each cutting fluid method. Consequently, total production costs wear evaluated with the mathematical models in terms of machining cost and cutting fluid loss.

The Cost Impact of Incorrect Assumptions in a Supply Chain

  • In this paper, the cost impact of incorrect assumptions about the demand process in a supply chain in which there are two participants, a retailer and a manufacturer, is considered. When participants in the supply chain do not notice serial correlation in the demand process, they would turn to a simple inventory model based on an i.i.d. demand assumption. A mathematical model that allows us to quantify the cost incurred by each participant in the supply chain, when they implement inventory policies based on correct or incorrect assumptions about the demand process, is developed. This model enables us to identify how much it differs from the optimal costs.
