건축물 신속조형을 위한 3D 프린터 기술 현황 및 개발방향 (Status and Direction of Development on the 3D Printing Technology for BRP(Building Rapid Printing))

  • A study on BRP(Building Rapid Printing) technology is in an initial stage although general 3d printers are being developed in a great speed and with fruitful outputs. Even some laboratories in advanced countries have difficulties in their research due to many technological restrictions and have not produced a practical output yet. This paper proposed distinct directions in which the research of this aera should be developed and this manifested four areas - printing speed, reinforcing tech, material tech and nozzle tech and those areas were proposed with concrete development alternatives and objects.

  • Scintillation that is grainy patterns appeared on a screen has been one of a biggest issues in a rear projection TVs. In this paper, with focusing on the average size of random particle, it was proved that the particle size of calculated speckle and the one of measured scintillation are almost the equal. This result shows speckle phenomenon is an important factor of scintillation.

  • In addition to extensive research on polymer and metal three-dimensional (3D) printing, ceramic 3D printing has recently been highlighted in various fields. The biggest advantage of 3D printing has the ability to easily create any complex shape. This review introduces the 3D printing technology of ceramics according to the type of material and deals with the latest related research in the industrial field including the biomedical engineering field. Finally, the future of ceramic 3D printing technology available in dentistry will be discussed.

  • This paper presents the electro-luminescence (EL) display lamp which is patterned on a curved surface by the pad printing method. The printing methods, including the gravure, screen, flexo, inkjet, and pad printing, have an advantage of one-step direct patterning. However, in general, the printing and semi-conductor process, except pad printing method, cannot be applied for patterning on a curved surface. Thus, in this paper, we used pad printing method for patterning an EL display lamp on a curved surface. The EL display lamp consists of 5 layers: Bottom electrode; Dielectric layer; Phosphor; Transparent electrode; Bus electrode. Finally, we printed EL display lamp on a dish, which has a radius of curvature 80mm. The EL display lamp was driven at AC 200V of 1kHz.

블랭킷 실린더의 인압제어 기술개발 (Development of Technology for Printing Pressure Control of Blanket Cylinder)

  • In offset or intaglio printing machine, it's operated with combination of blanket cylinder and impression cylinder. The blanket cylinder has some number of grooves to attach the blanket on surface. In case of operating the printing machine, it has generate mechanical impact noise when the two cylinders encounter with the grooves. So, in this study, we developed a printing pressure control algorithm with hydraulic servo control system. We also proposed simulation model of experimental device to analysis the throw on force response of hydraulic servo actuator. Finally, we have reduced the mechanical impact noise and improved printing quality with a groove detecting signal and PI control of hydraulic servo actuator.

디지털인쇄에서 색재현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Color Reproduction in Digital Printing)

  • Color reproduction is one of the most important expression factors in digital printing. In this paper, an experiment was done where the characteristics of color reproduction in digital printing. The results could summarized as follows. The printing used device profile showed a color difference of less than printing used default value in digital printing. As a result of weighting color difference, a difference between color gamut of digital original and color gamut of printing, when transforming the RGB color space to CMY color space, a exclusion the gray revision. The solution is to optimize the color transformation by gamut mapping and gray revision.

  • The charater of standing box printing reguires a rich representation in a light and a shade of color and caues the modern photographs to be abundant of the ink and also shows the continuity of which any other printing is incapable because of its profound gradation. The clear printing in gravure can be said to be due to the good transfer of the ink - the completion of the transference of the ink into the stencil paper and the clear transference of the printing tone. The most inportant matter is the distance between the printing press and the doctor line. It is the matter of the structure and arrangement because of giving the most affect on the dryness of the ink in the cell. The glue of the ink in gravure changes by the kinds of the dye and the cellusolve used. To make the printing somoothly progressive from the high glue of the ink to the low glue of the ink will have to be used, which will be possible to choose the ester.ose the ester.

  • The process of three-dimensional (3D) printing (also known as "rapid prototyping" and "additive manufacturing") uses computer-created digital models to produce 3D objects with a desired shape by stacking materials through a layer-by-layer process. The industrial potential and feasibility of 3D printing technology were recently highlighted in President Obama's State of the Union address in 2013. Since his speech, worldwide investment in and attention toward 3D printing technology have increased explosively. In addition, a number of 3D printing technology-based start-up companies have been established and evaluated as emerging enterprises making successful business models. In this paper, successful start-up companies (domestic and overseas) based on 3D printing technology will be reviewed.

  • Recently, as the prepress mainstream is changed to the digital wolkflow, various digital proofing systems such as high price dye sublimation printers and low price ink jet printers are widely used in printing industry. Generally, CRT monitors are also often used as a soft proofing device for hard-copy image output. However, displayed color image on CRT monitor does not match to the actual color printing sheets. Because, the color space of CRT monitor used RGB color space, and it is differ with printing device color space, CMY. Therefore, proper color compensations are needed to match the colors between hard-copy proofs on the printing device and soft copy proofs on the monitor. For the proper compensation, we used LUT and gamut mapping method for color space transformation between device dependent color space and device independent color space, vis a vis. This paper shows the application method and the usefulness of CRT monitor for the soft-copy proofing using the output characteristics of printing device.

  • For developing digital printing textiles, special pretreatment processes are necessary. These processes include developing formulation of coating agent and coating processes. The pretreatment were investigated with the variation concentration of anti-migration agent, fixation chemical etc.. The printing qualities according to pretreatment conditions were studied with color yield, printed capital letter sharpness and washing fastness. It was observed that the concentration of anti-migration agent, fixation agent(alkali) was closely related to printing qualities. For developing industrial technology of cellulosic digital printing textiles, optimum viscosity of pretreatment coating formulation is very important factor.
