평행이동하는 강성옹벽에 작용하는 비선형 주동토압 : II. 적용성 (Nonlinearly Distributed Active Earth Pressure on a Translating Rigid Retaining Wall : II. Application)

  • 강성 옹벽에 작용하는 주동토압은 뒷채움재에서 발생하는 아칭효과로 인하여 삼각형이 아닌 비선형의 분포형태를 보인다. 따라서 뒷채움재에서 발생하는 아칭효과를 고려함으로써 평행이동하는 강성옹벽에 작용하는 주동토압의 비선형 분포를 산정할 수 있는 새로운 토압산정식이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 $\phi$\delta$, 그리고 옹벽의 높이가 새로운 제안식에서 계산되는 토압의 크기와 분포형태에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 매개변수 분석을 수행하였다. 그리고 제안된 토압산정식에 대한 정확도를 검증하기 위하여 새로운 제안식에서 얻어진 결과들이 기존의 시험결과 및 기존 제안식들의 결과들과 비교되었다. 예측치와 측정치의 비교를 통해서 새로운 토압산정식은 평행이동하는 강성 벽체에 작용하는 주동토압의 크기와 분포형태에 대하여 만족스런 결과를 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 새로운 토압산정식의 사용성을 높이기 위하여 수정 주동토압계수와 주동토압의 작용점 높이에 대한 간편한 설계도표가 제시되었다.

상수도관망의 피해율 저감을 위한 가압장 최적운영기법 개발 (Development of optimum pump operation technique for the damage rate reduction of water distribution system)

  • 본 연구에서는 상수도관망의 피해율 저감을 위한 최적의 펌프운영기법을 제안하였다. 펌프운영시스템은 효과적인 펌프운영을 위하여 개발되었다. 이를 위해 펌프와 소통할 수 있는 압력센서가 상수도관망의 관말단부에 설치되었다. 펌프운영시스템은 관말단의 센서로 부터 수신된 데이터를 통하여 펌프를 제어하게 된다. 따라서 펌프운영시스템은 관말단부에 충분한 유량을 전달할 수 있는 압력을 유지할 수 있고 불필요한 압력을 줄일 수 있다. 펌프운영시스템의 효과를 입증하기 위해 신뢰성해석모형이 사용되었고 기존의 펌프운영시스템과 새로운 펌프운영시스템의 운영결과를 통하여 상수도관의 파괴확률을 정량적으로 비교하였다. 이를 위해서 부정류해석을 수행하였고 그 결과는 파괴확률을 산정하는데 사용되었다. 그 결과, 새로 제시된 펌프운영시스템은 상수도관의 파괴확률을 현저히 낮출 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

대형 뉴메틱케이슨 강성기초의 접지압분포 (Distribution of Ground Contact Pressure under Rigid Foundation of Large Pneumatic Caisson)

  • 다양한 지층에 설치된 대형 뉴메틱케이슨의 강성기초에 작용하는 접지압분포를 파악하기 위하여 영종대교하부기초로 채택된 뉴메틱케이슨 시공시 실시한 현장계측자료를 분석하였다. 뉴메틱케이슨의 침설시 케이슨의 하부 접지면에 케이슨의 침설에 저항하여 저항력이 작용할 것이다. 이 저항력을 뉴메틱케이슨 기초저면 모서리에 설치한 반압계로 측정할 수 있었다. 그리고 이 저항력측정기록을 이용하여 접지압을 산정하였다. 측정기록의 분석결과 기반암구간에서 뉴메틱케이슨기초에 작용하는 접지압분포는 아래로 볼록한 형상의 접지압분포를 보이는 반면에 해성퇴적층과 풍화암층에서의 접지압분포는 위로 볼록한 형상을 보인다. 그리고 이들 접지압분포는 대체적으로 모든 지층에서 대칭분포를 나타내고 있다. 대형 뉴메틱케이슨기초에 작용한 최대접지압에 의하여 제시된 접지압분포는 Kgler(1936)와 Fang(1991)이 강성기초를 대상으로 제시한 접지압분포특성과 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다.

클린 디젤엔진용 워터펌프 유동해석 (Flow Analysis of Water Pump for Clean Disel Engine Application)

  • Pressure distribution around rotating impeller blades in centrifugal pump has been main issue for design of efficient and high performance automotive water pump. In addition, pressure losses of inlet water pipes should be considered to reduce additional pressure drop and design high performance engine cooling system. In this paper, pressure distribution inside water pump and pressure drop between inlet and outlet of water pump are investigated numerically to design plastic water pump for clean diesel engine application. And the inlet geometry of water pump was considered to analysis the effect of inlet water pipe geometry on pressure distribution around impeller blades and outlet pressure. The prediction results are compared with experimental data to validate and determine optimal operation condition without water pump cavitation. Major design parameters such as blade angle, volute geometry, system pressure, and coolant flow rate are considered to confirm applying possibility of plastic blades to the clean diesel engine.

  • Purpose: This study intends to analyze the effect of competitor pressure and customer pressure on social media technology use and the value of the business network and their implications for marketing performance. Research design, and methodology: A constructed questionnaire was conducted with 90 respondents of MSME's Business Actors in South Sulawesi Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis was applied to analyze and verify all the data. Results: Competitor pressure has a significant effect on social media technology, Competitor pressure has a positive and significant impact on business network accentuation. Customer pressure has a positive and significant impact on social media technology. Customer pressure has a positive and significant impact on business network accentuation. Social media technology utilization has a significant impact on Business Network Accentuation. Social media technology utilization has a significant effect on Marketing Performance. Business Network has a significant effect on Marketing Performance. Conclusions: It is an important thing for MSMEs to increase the use of social media technology to meet the demands of consumers and pressure from competitors. The use of social media technology must be implemented effectively and efficiently so that it can be utilized as an effective tool for distributing the value that own by a company to improve the company's marketing performance.

SPRAY STRUCTURE OF HIGH PRESSURE GASOLINE INJECTOR IN A GASOLINE DIRECT INJECTION ENGINE

  • This study is focussed on the investigation of spray characteristics from the high pressure gasoline injector for the application of gasoline direct injection engine. For the analysis of spray structure of high pressure gasoline injector; the laser scattering method with a Nd-Yag laser and the Phase Doppler particle analyzer system were applied to observe the spray development and the measurement of the droplet size and velocity of the spray, respectively. Also spatial velocity distribution of the spray droplet was measured by use of the particle image velocity system. Experimental results show that high pressure gasoline injector shapes the hollow-cone spray, and produce the upward ring shaped vortex on the spray surface region. This upward ring shaped vortex promotes the secondary atomization of fuel droplets and contributes to a uniform distribution of fuel droplets. Most of fuel droplets are distributed under 31$\mu m$ of the mean droplet size (SMD) and the frequency distribution of the droplet size under 25$\mu m$ is over 95% at 7 MPa of injection pressure. According to the experimental results of PIV system, the flow patterns of the droplets velocity distribution in spray region are in good agreement with the spray macroscopic behaviors obtained from the visualization investigation.

  • It is essential to reduce global carbon emissions, mainly from energy use. The water supply and distribution sector is a vital part of human society and is one of the primary energy consumers. The procurement and distribution of water require electricity to operate the pump to deliver water to users with sufficient pressure. As the water users are spatially distributed over a wide area, the energy required to deliver water to each user differs depending on the corresponding supplying element (reservoir, tank, pipe, pump, and valve). This difference in energy required for each user also comes with a difference in pressure availability which affects the level of service for individual users and the whole network. Typically, there is a disproportion where users close to the source experience excessively high pressure with low energy consumption. In contrast, remote users need more energy to get the minimum pressure. This study proposes the Energy Return Index (ERI) to quantify the pressure return from particular energy consumption to supply water to each node. The disproportionality can be quantified and identified in the network using the proposed ERI. The index can be applied to optimize the network elements such as pump operation and tank location/size to reach a balanced energy consumption with the appropriate level of service.

  • In order to reduce a aerodynamic drag of the rear, body, effects of rear lower end configuration of a vehicles were investigated by measuring the pressure distribution, visual flow phenomena by the use of digital image processing technique. The use of flow visualization in recent years has improved the general understanding of structure of complex flow and has yielded valuable information for analyzing fluid flow. As the results, it was found that the shape of rear lower part vehicles not only effected on the pressure distribution of the rear part of the vehicle but also difference of the flow phenomena.

  • In brake systems, a proportioning valve(P. V), which reduces the brake line pressure on each wheel cylinder for the anti-locking of rear wheels, is closely related to the safety of vehicles. However, it is impossible for current P. V. s to completely control brake line pressure because, mechanically, it is an open loop control system. In this paper we describe an electronic brake force distribution system using a direct adaptive fuzzy controller in order to completely control brake line pressure using a closed loop control system. The objective of the electronic brake force distribution system is to change the cut-in-pressure and the valve slop of the P. V in order to obtain better performance of the brake system than with mechanical systems.

  • In the 3-Dimensional contact of the smooth spheres, the effects of friction on the contact area and the distribution of contact pressure was studied numerically. The contact area and pressure distribution was evaluated for the only normal load and for the case of a normal load in the presence of a tangential traction. To do this work, the technique of simple discretization using the load . displacement relationship for a uniformly distributed load of a rectangular patch was used.
