Optimum Design of a 3-DOF Ultra-Precision Positioning Mechanism Using Boosters (부스터를 이용한 3자유도 초정밀 위치결정 기구의 최적설계)

  • Ultra-precision positioning systems basically require high natural frequency and sufficient workspace. To cope with this requirement, flexure hinge mechanisms have been proposed. However, previous designs are hard to satisfy the functional requirements of the system due to difficulty in modeling and optimizing process applying an independent axiomatic design. Therefore, this paper proposes a new design and design-order based on semi-coupled axiomatic design. A planar 3 DOF parallel type micro mechanism is chosen as an exemplary device. Based on preliminary kinematic analysis and dynamic modeling of the system, an optimal design has been carried out. To check the effectiveness of the optimal parameters obtained from theoretical approach, simulation is performed by FEM. The simulation result shows that a natural frequency of 200.53Hz and a workspace of $2000{\mu}m{\times}2000{\mu}m$ can be ensured, which is in very close agreement with the specified goal of design.

  • Magnetic levitation transfer systems are useful for transfer tools in clean rooms and positioning control systems with high precision because of frictionless characteristics. In this paper, the new method is proposed which is a sensorless position. At first, the magnetic levitation is performed by state feedback control with a disturbance observer for each of six axes of the movement of a levitated vehicle. The position of the vehicle is then estimated as the disturbance term of a disturbance observer for a pitch angle which is one of the control axes for the magnetic levitation. In addition, the positioning force is generated by the pitch angle control which gives a tilt to the levitated vehicle so that it generates the horizontal component of force.

  • In this paper, a new positioning method with incoherence of white light is described and practically implemented to attach VCR heads on a drum very accurately. This method utilizes the Michelson Interferometer which uses white light with short coherence length as the light source to generate interference fringes only in case the optical path difference is shorter than about 2.mu.m. The course position of VCR heads and the fine are determined by appearance and visibility of interference fringes, respectively. The appearance are detected by an image processing technique using FFT(Fast Fourier Transform).

  • The satellite navigation deception technology disturbs the navigation solution of the receiver by generating a deceptive signal simulating the actual satellite for the satellite navigation receiver mounted on the unmanned aerial vehicle, which is the target of deception. A single spoofing technique that creates a single deceptive position and velocity can be divided into a synchronized spoofing signal that matches the code delay, Doppler frequency, and navigation message with the real satellite and an unsynchronized spoofing signal that does not match. In order to generate a signal synchronized with a satellite signal, a very sophisticated and high precision signal generation technology is required. In addition, the current position and speed of the UAV equipped with the receiver must be accurately detected in real time. Considering the detection accuracy of the current radar technology that detects small UAVs, it is difficult to detect UAVs with an accuracy of less than one chip. In this paper, we assume the asynchrony of a single spoofing signal and propose a region defense technique using multiple spoofing signals.

  • The C-ITS requires the lane level positioning of the vehicle in the land transportation environment, and it is most effective to utilize the global navigation satellite system. In the precision positioning system based on satellite navigation, the evaluation of dynamic environment of lane level positioning performance should be accompanied and the evaluation system configuration should be preceded. In addition, performance analysis must be performed according to various environments that change according to traffic or road conditions in a dynamic environment. In this paper, we describe with the performance of traffic and road environment through the evaluation system of lane positioning precision positioning user system based on satellite navigation system. The numerical performance evaluation was carried out based on the data collected by carrying out the actual driving. The performance evaluation by the actual driving trajectory and driving image comparison was performed to derive and analyse evaluation results of positioning performance according to driving condition.

The Development of Micro NCT for Micro Blanking/Punching of Thin Plates (미세박판가공을 위한 마이크로 NCT 제작에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we developed the micro NCT system for punching the thin plates, which is driven is driven by the standalone type microprocessor. In order to adjust the alignment between the punch and die in-situ punching procedures, the non-contact type laser sensor for measuring the burr and micro-driving system for punching die with using the differential screw are developed. The height of burr in four directions in the punched hole of test specimen are measured, and the measured data are transferred to the personal computer by RS232C serial communication technology. In the personal computer, by using the graphic user interface type monitoring program and data handling procedures which includes the filtering algorithms, the direction and length of movement of the die position is decided and these data are transferred back to the microprocessor. The microprocessor drives the micro positioning stage based on these data. Even if this method is not a perfect solution for the in-situ alignment in micro punching, but this alignment methodology is accomplished in the same stage just after the punching that we hope to solve the alignment problem in the punching system based on this technology.

  • An ultra-precision stage is used in many industrial areas such as precision machine tools or semiconductor apparatus. These stages used to be driven by piezoelectric actuators in order to obtain ultra precision positioning resolution. Piezoelectric actuator can be moved fast in nanometer resolution. However, it has relatively large non-linear characteristics like hysteresis and creep curve. Although several kinds of control techniques have been developed, controller design method is still complicated. In this paper fuzzy control rules are developed intuitively. In order to verify the performance a series of experiments were conducted and the results were compared with those of the PID controller case.

  • As for the battery package method, a prismatic package method is preferred for stability reasons, but it is rapidly expanding due to the stability verification of a pouch type package. The pouch type using the lamination process has an advantage of high battery energy density because it can reduce space waste, but has a disadvantage of low productivity. Therefore, in this paper, by extracting edge detection algorithm precision, pattern algorithm precision, and motion controller recall rate by improving backlight lighting fixtures to minimize light diffusion, securing standards for stereo camera position relationship displacement monitoring, and securing standards for lens release monitoring. We propose to implement a system that ensures accuracy and reliability in positioning. As a result of the experiment, the proposed system shows an average error range of 0.032mm for edge detection, 0.02mm for pattern algorithm, and 0.014mm for motion controller, thus ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the positioning mechanism.

In this paper, we selected performance indicators, assessment equipment, and reliability of reference equipment for evaluation of precision positioning user systems based on the GNSS. The performance evaluation system described above is applied to a real system, and the performance evaluation tool developed for the evaluation system is described.   • A new 6 degrees-of-freedom micro stage, based on parallel mechanisms and actuated by using piezoelectric elements, has been developed for the application of micro positioning such as semiconductor manufacturing devices, high precision optical measurement systems, and high accurate machining. The micro stage structure consists of a base platform and an upper platform(stage). The base platform can effectively generates planar motion with yaw motion, while the stage can do vertical motion with roll and pitch motions with respect to the base platform. This separated structure has an advantage of less interference among actuators. The forward and inverse kinematics of the micro stage are discussed. Also, through linearization of kinematic equations about an operating point on the assumption that the configuration of the micro stage remains essentially constant throughout a workspace is performed. To maximize the workspace of the stage relative to fixed frame, an optimal design procedure of geometric parameter is shown. Hardware description and a prototype are presented. The prototype is about 150mm in height and its base platform is approximately 94mm in diameter. The workspace of the prototype is obtained by computer simulation. Kinematic calibration procedure of the micro stage and its results are presented.
