치과병의원에서 요구하는 치위생과 졸업생들의 직업능력에 관한 연구 (The study about occupational ability of dental hygiene department students required of the dental clinics)

  • Objectives : This study is aimed to help the dental hygiene department students to improve their adaptive ability to the field work by letting them know the performing levels required of the job world, by renovating the knowledge-centered curriculum, and by finding out the core competencies needed for successfully performing their duties and tasks in the work field. Methods : The survey tool was recomposed through the examination of the preceeding studies on basic vocational competencies and skills, and the survey has been done to 200 dentists in Seoul and Gyunggi provice. Results : 1. As for the job-getting routs, 35.1% of them finds their jobs through the job portal sites, and 21.3% through the recommendation by professors. So we can see the meaningful difference in the employment ways. 2. Dental hygiene clinics think that the purpose of their cooperation with the colleges is mainly to secure human resources by requiring the colleges to give field-centered education the colleges through. 3. The clinics for dental hygienic students' field learning have a great power for hiring the students. So it is necessary to set up a good management system of the clinics for dental hygienic students' field learning in order to reinforce the students' competitive power in getting jobs. 4. The priorities in basic working abilities needed for the task performance are in the order of vocational responsibility, self-managing & developing ability, interpersonal skill, and problem solving ability. 5. The core competencies required of those who graduate from dental hygiene school show the following scores by Likert measurement; good personality and vocational consciousness 2.16(${\pm}.677$), understanding power of major-related knowledge 2.19(${\pm}.723$), field adapting ability 2.31(${\pm}.748$), get-along-with ability 2.32(${\pm}.799$), interpersonal skill 2.42(${\pm}.768$), and self-development ability such as getting certificates 2.43(${\pm}.729$). Among the core competencies, the only meaningful factor which influences on their satisfaction measurement has been identified as the professional ability related to the major. Conclusions : The results suggest that the knowledge and skill related to the major are core competencies of able human resources and closely related with the professionality of the job, and so they are very important. However, job basic abilities are also proved to be important, which reinforce the students' activeness, self-regulation, and creativeness, and help them to pursue their lasting growth in their abilities.

Free Radical Scavenging Activity and Protective Ability of Methanolic Extract from Duchesnea indica Against Protein Oxidation and DNA Damage

  • The antioxidant potency of methanolic extract of Duchesnea indica (MDI; Indian strawberry) was investigated by employing various established in vitro systems, such as total phenolic content, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging activity, reducing power assay, metal chelating assay, superoxide radical scavenging activity and protective ability of DNA damage and protein oxidation. MDI inhibited metal chelating by 75.57% at 2 mg/mL, scavenged 50% DPPH free radical at 29.13 ${\mu}$g/mL, and eliminated approximately 46.21% superoxide radical at the concentration of 1 mg/mL. In addition, MDI showed strong ability on reducing power, DNA damage protection and protein oxidation protection. Overall, results suggested that MDI might be beneficial as a potent antioxidant and effectively employed as an ingredient in food applications.

Modified Capacitor-Assisted Z-Source Inverter Topology with Enhanced Boost Ability

  • This paper presents a novel topology named a modified capacitor-assisted Z-source inverter (MCA-ZSI) based on the traditional ZSI. The impedance network of the proposed MCA-ZSI consists of two symmetrical cells coupled with two capacitors with an X-shape structure, and each cell has two inductors, two capacitors, and one diode. Compared with other topologies based on switched ZSI with the same number of components used at impedance network, the proposed topology provides higher boost ability, lower voltage stress across inverter switching devices, and lower capacitor voltage stress. The improved performances of the proposed topology are demonstrated in the simulation and experimental results.

  • The purpose of this study is developing a converter which is able to convert a 300[KW] power, and is a DC power supply output a 1500[V] DC voltage for inverter driving. The power converter is driven by two converter serisely and keep a high power factor of power source. This system is haven all the characteristic of voltage source converter by having a processing ability of regenerating power. The two converters controls a PWM modulation and output voltage using a only one 16 bit DSP processor.

  • For 21th Century, the assignment of power distribution will be the expansion of equipments to supply electric power and harmony with its environment, in process of approving value consciousness of land, space, and the preservation of surroundings. This paper proposes a plan to match with the requirement about equipments, having ability to supply electric power, being harmonized itself with its surroundings by applying a general concept of "Amenity" when we choose an established form of power distribution.

대입 수리논술고사에 대한 고찰과 실제 (An Investigation and Practices on Mathematics Essay Test in University Entrance Examination)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대입 수리논술고사의 평가요소를 통하여 수리논술고사에 대한 정체성을 규명하고 실제 수리논술고사가 어떻게 출제되고 있는지 살펴보는 것이다. 수리논술고사에 관한 이해를 얻기 위해 2016학년도에 수리논술고사를 실시한 우리나라 25개 대학교 홈페이지에 있는 논술자료집에서 수리논술고사의 평가목표 및 출제방향을 분석하여 수리논술고사의 평가요소를 추출하고, 2015학년도 기출문제를 분석하여 실제 수리논술고사가 어떻게 출제되고 있는지 살펴보았다. 수리논술고사의 평가목표 및 출제방향에 나타난 평가요소는 수학적 지식, 이해력, 논리 비판적 사고력, 문제해결력, 창의력, 표현력, 논증력으로 수리논술고사의 정체성은 이런 능력, 즉 수학적 지식을 포함하는 고차원적인 사고능력과 논술능력을 평가하기 위한 시험이라고 할 수 있다. 또한, 수리논술고사 평가요소에 따라 수리논술 평가기준을 정하고 수리논술고사 기출문제를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 수리논술고사는 평가요소 중 수학적 지식, 이해력, 문제해결력을 요구하는 문제 위주로 출제되고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we will propose the new method that estimates the sensing ability of HH smart sensor. We have developed a new signal processing method that can distinguish among different materials relatively. The HH smart sensor was developed for recognition of materials. We made the HH smart sensor in our experiment. Then, we estimated the ability to recognize objects according to acceleration value. We estimated the sensing ability of HH smart sensor with the $R_{SAI}$ method. Experiments and analysis were executed to estimate the ability to recognize objects according to acceleration value changing. Dynamic characteristics of HH smart sensor were evaluated relatively through a new $R_{SAI}$ method that uses the power spectrum density. Applications of this method are for finding abnormal conditions of objects (auto-manufacturing), feeling of objects (medical product), robotics, safety diagnosis of structure, etc.

  • In this paper, we will propose the new method that estimates the sensing ability of smart sensor. A study is estimation method that evaluates the sensing ability about smart sensor respectively. According to acceleration(g) and displacement changing, we estimated the sensing ability of smart sensor using the SAI(Sensing Ability Index) method respectively. We made the smart sensors in our experiment. The types of smart sensor are three types(H1, H1, H3 smart sensor). The smart sensors were developed for recognition of materials. Experiments and analysis were executed to estimated the sensing abili-ty of smarty sensor. Dynamic characteristics of smart sensors(acceleration changing) were evaluated respectively through a new method(SAI) that uses the power spectrum density.

The Effects of Weight-Bearing Exercise on Upper Extremity Activities Performance in the Female Stroke Patients

  • The purpose in the present study was to examine the effects of weight-bearing exercises on stroke patients' ability to perform upper extremity activities. Experiments were conducted with 24 female stroke patients who were randomly assigned to either a control group (CG) that performed general exercise or an experimental group that performed weight-bearing exercise (WBG). The experiments were conducted for 30 minutes per time, three times per week for six weeks. The upper extremity functions, grasping power, and the ability to manipulate the fingers were measured for both groups before the experiments and again six weeks after the beginning of the experiments. Although the scores for upper extremity functions relating to raising the arms that correspond to proximal upper extremity functions increased in both groups, the WBG showed more significant improvement. The WBG showed significant changes in grasping power compared to the CG. Based on these results, weight-bearing exercise can be effective in improving the ability to perform upper extremity movements and grasping power and thus can be used in stroke rehabilitation.
