  • The fault current through the earth originated from a power line ground fault might cause arcing through the soil to an adjacent pipeline, which might bring about not only a catastrophic accident such as gas explosion and oil leakage but also a hazard to the safety of workers responsible for the maintenance and repair of the pipeline. In this paper we investigated the arcing phenomena through soil between a power line tower and a pipeline and outlined the standards for the separation distance of a buried pipeline adjacent to the power line tower.

  • New cities and industrial complexes are being developed actively according to the government's policy. To determine the size of investment, number of power lines and substations for stable power supply to newly developed industrial complexes, the accurate estimation of power demand is necessary. "The standards for the estimation of power demands in newly developed residential and industrial complexes" established by KEPCO in 1991 have been used up to now. But the background for the estimation of power demands is weak and the accuracy has not been verified. Also, it has been passed above 10 years since their establishment and the social & economic situations have changed a lot, which requires an urgent revision. Through this survey and analysis of existing areas, new standards that will enable more accurate estimation of power demands in new cities and industrial complexes to be developed in the future are established by calculating the some kinds of power demand factors.

The Design of Calculable Standard Dipole Antennas in the Frequency Range of 1~3 GHz

  • This paper presents the design of a calculable standard dipole antenna with a hybrid balun in the frequency range of 1 GHz to 3 GHz. A new formula of the antenna factor for a dipole antenna with a hybrid balun is derived using the power mismatch-loss concept. The antenna factors derived in this paper are in good agreement with the results calculated from S-parameters. The design results show that the calculable dipole antenna with a hybrid balun can be characterized by power mismatch-loss component factors.

  • 드라이 펌프(Dry Pump)는 청결을 요구하는 반도체 생산 공정에 많이 사용하고 있다. 오늘날 반도체 수요의 증가와 함께 드라이 펌프의 수요도 늘어나고 있다. 그에 각 반도체 회사들은 진공 펌프의 선정이 매우 중요한 문제 중 하나로 대두대고 있다. 진공 펌프를 위한 종합 성능 평가 장치의 개발은 이들 회사에서 요구하는 펌프의 성능을 종합적으로 평가함으로써 펌프 선정의 중요한 근거 자료로 사용 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서 구축한 종합성능 평가 장치는 진공 펌프의 최대 도달 진공도(Ultimate Pressure), 배기속도(Pumping Speed), 전력 소비(Power Consumption), 진동(Vibration) 그리고 음향 파워(Sound Power)등과 같은 종합적인 성능을 한번에 평가 할 수 있다.

  • There are very large differences on the standards of gross weight and single axle weight for commercial motor vehicles between international and Korean standards. Short Wheelbase Truck are produced and run only in Korea. It has very serious effects on the durabilities of bridges and roads and makes logistic competitive power fall back and overconsuming energy. This paper deals with a comparative study of the international standards with Korean, grasps the drawbacks and makes up the suggestions to strengthen the logistic competitive power of Korea and reduce the maintenance cost for the roads and the consumption of energy.

  • In this paper, a method for the precise impedance measurement of coaxial loads using an offset open and short as the reflection standards and reference air lines with different lengths as the impedance standards is proposed. Measured input impedances of power sensors and thermistor mounts obtained from SWR bridges(5~400MHz) and a vector network analyzer(100~1,000MHz) are presented in the frequency range of 5MHz to 1,000 MHz.

  • In this paper We are trying to get the process of fault analysis and it's algorithm which is IEEE and IEC standards as a criteria to choose the circuit breaker. And We'd like to compare IEEE standards' and IEC standards' fault analysis result for both fault current and it's magnitude by applying the same sample condition.
