리형 초음파모터의 모드가변에 따른 진동특성 개선 (The Vibration Characteristic Improvement by Mode Variation of Ring Type Ultrasonic Motor)

  • 본 논문은 링형 초음파모터의 진동모드에 의한 진동특성 개선을 제안하였다. 고정자의 압전세락믹과 탄성체에 대한 설계는 공진주파수, 진동모드 및 결합계수 등을 고려한 유한요소법(FEM)에 의해 계산되었다. 6차로부터 8차까지의 진동해석 결과를 통하여, 7차 모드는 결합효율, 최소전력소비 및 굴곡 진동에 있어서 매우 우수한 결과를 얻었다. 또한 7차 모드 이상에서는 입력전압에 대한 출력전류가 매우 크게 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 두께 0.5[mm]∼2[mm]까지의 진동계산 결과 0.5[mm]에서 진동변위가 매우 높은 값을 지님을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 해석결과로부터 본 연구에서는 약 43.86[KHz]의 공진주파수을 갖는 외경 50[mm], 내경 22[mm]의 초음파모터를 제조하였으며 다음의 시뮬레이션 결과 42.2[KHz]와 실험결과43.86(KHz)의 값을 얻었다. 따라서 본 논문의 타당성은 시뮬레이션 결과와 실험결과의 비교 검토를 통하여 거의 일치하는 결과를 입증하였다.

  • Due to the large capacity and low cost, DC link electrolytic capacitors with of energy storage and voltage regulation are used for almost all types of power converter as the DC/AC inverter or DC/DC converter. Electrolytic capacitor, which is the most of the time affected by the aging effect, plays very important role for the power converter system quality and reliability. Therefore, this paper proposes a simple method to estimate the capacitance variation of an electrolytic capacitor in order to analyze the internal characteristic decrease and worn-out state of an electrolytic capacitor. Simulation results by using capacitor storage energy computation show the validity of the proposed capacitance estimation method.

Effect of Channel Variation on Switching Characteristics of LDMOSFET

  • Electrical characteristics of LDMOS power device with LDD(Lightly Doped Drain) structure is studied with variation of the region of channel and LDD. The channel in LDMOSFET encloses a junction-type source and is believed to be an important parameter for determining the circuit operation of CMOS inverter. Two-dimensional TCAD MEDICI simulation is used to study hot-carrier effect, on-resistance Ron, breakdown voltage, and transient switching characteristic. The voltage-transfer characteristics and on-off switching properties are studied as a function of the channel length and doping levels. The digital logic levels of the output and input voltages are analyzed from the transfer curves and circuit operation. Study indicates that drain current significantly depends on the channel length rather than the LDD region, while the switching transient time is almost independent of the channel length. The high and low logic levels of the input voltage showed a strong dependency on the channel length, while the lateral substrate resistance from a latch-up path in the CMOS inverter was comparable to that of a typical CMOS inverter with a guard ring.

  • This paper analyzes overvoltage on testing line for various parameter effect examination. Model systems consist of overhead line and underground cable. The model considered actual characteristic data of distribution lines. and will be constructed at testing yard. The simulations were performed under various line configuration such as cable kinds, cable length, lightning wave, lightning wave time, transformer and branch circuits. The simulation models are established by EMTP/ATPDraw and Line Constants are calculated by ATP_LCC. When lightning surge strikes on conductor of overhead line, EMTP/ATPDraw calculates overvoltage in many cases. Simulation results will be compared with real testing results at testing yard. The compared results will be used to establish protection methods in actual underground distribution systems.

  • Pneumatic servo valve is an electro-mechanical device which change electric signals to a proper pneumatic signals, that is, flowrate and pressure. In this study, a pneumatic servo valve was designed and each simulation was conducted on any variation in the flowrate depending upon the magnetic force of the linear force motor and the displacement of the spool. And permanent magnet was used as a material for the plunger of the servo valve. Thereby, a low electrical power consumption type coil was desinged. And a modeling for the coil design was conducted by using the magnetic circuit. also, the feasibility of the modeling was verified by using a commercial magnetic field analysis program. The designed and fabrication of the spool and sleeve, position sensor, servo controller and the dynamic characteristic verified by the experiment.

칼만 필터를 이용한 리튬-폴리머 배터리의 SOC 추정 (A SOC Estimation using Kalman Filter for Lithium-Polymer Battery)

  • The SOC estimation method based on Kalman Filter(KF) requires the accurate battery model to express the electrical characteristics of the battery. However, the performance of KF SOC estimator can hardly be improved because of the nonlinear characteristic of the battery. This paper proposes the new KF SOC estimator of Lithium-Polymer Battery(LiPB), which considers the variation of parameters based on the hysteresis effect, the magnitude of SOC, the charging/discharging mode and the on/off load conditions. The proposed SOC estimation method is verified with the PSIM simulation combined the experimental data of the LiPB.

  • Even though the LCL filters have superior harmonic attenuation ability to L filters, stability has always been an issue. The system could be unstable because of the resonance phenomenon, especially when digital controller is used. Adding a notch filter to the compensator is one approach to solve the problem. Resonance phenomenon can be inhibited by aligning notch frequency to system resonance frequency. However, resonance frequency variation can be obtained because the actual system has a nonstationary characteristic. Therefore, the system could be unstable, where the system parameters are changed when the conventional notch filter is used. An adaptive digital notch filter that stabilizes the system even system parameters are changed. Simulation and experiment results are provided to verify the validity of the proposed adaptive filter.

높은 홀딩전압을 갖는 사이리스터 기반 새로운 구조의 ESD 보호소자 (The novel SCR-based ESD Protection Device with High Holding Voltage)

  • 본 논문에서는 높은 홀딩 전압을 갖는 사이리스터(SCR; Silicon Controlled Rectifier)구조에 기반 한 새로운 구조의 ESD(Electro-Static Discharge) 보호 소자를 제안하였다. 홀딩전압은 애노드단을 감싸고 있는 n-well에 p+ 캐소드를 확장시키고, 캐소드단을 n-well로 추가함으로써 홀딩전압을 증가시킬 수 있다. 제안된 소자는 높은 홀딩전압 특성으로 높은 래치업 면역성을 갖는다. 본 연구에서 제안된 소자의 전기적 특성, 온도특성, ESD 감내특성을 확인하기 위하여 TCAD 시뮬레이션 툴을 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안된 소자는 10.5V의 트리거 전압과 3.6V의 홀딩전압을 갖는다. 그리고 추가적인 n-well과 확장된 p+의 사이즈 변화로 4V이상의 홀딩전압을 갖는 것을 확인하였다.

중형무인기용 하이브리드 전기동력시스템의 최적 이륙시간에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimum Takeoff Time of the Hybrid Electric Powered Systems for a Middle Size UAV)

  • 연구대상으로 삼은 중형 전기추진 무인기는 무게 18.5 kg, 날개 길이 6.4 m급의 저속 장기체공형으로 태양전지, 연료전지, 배터리를 전력원으로 사용한다. 이륙시간에 따라 태양전지의 에너지 총량이 달라지므로 체공을 최대화하기 위한 최적의 이륙시간을 선정해야 한다. 이를 위해 전압매칭을 통해 각 전력원을 선정하여 모델링을 수행하였으며 단품 성능시험을 통해 검증 후 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이륙시간이 오전 6시, 오전 2시일 때 각각 최대 37.5시간, 최소 27.6시간동안 전력공급이 가능하였다. 배터리 SOC의 사용범위를 25~80%로 제한하도록 연료전지의 작동을 제어할 경우 각각 0.31시간, 0.63시간동안 더 전력공급이 가능하며 각 전력원은 최적 운전점에서 작동함을 확인하였다.
