Study on the Development of Linearity of Broad-Band SDLVA Using Clamping Op-Amp (Clamping Op-Amp를 이용한 광대역 로그 비디오 증폭기의 선형성 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes a design and fabrication of SDLVA. The SDLVA operates 0.5~2.0 GHz with -70~0 dBm dynamic range. The SDLVA is consisted of 5-stage RF block, 2-stage detector block and summation circuit using clamping op-amp to improve video linearity. The result of measure, SDLVA of RF path has over 73 dB small-signal gain and 10.1~12.2 dBm saturation power. The video path has 25 mV/ dB${\pm}$1.0 mV and under ${\pm}$1.5 dB video linearity.

  • A Single phase induction motor is the predominant fractional horsepower power rated, extensively used in domestic and industrial application. For example, these motors provide the motive power to washing machines, fans, refrigerators, etc. In this paper, single phase induction motor input current was detected by a small current transformer and determined TRIAC gate signal by using op-amp analog circuit. The soft-start strategy is based on limited auxiliary current angle during starting period in the closed-loop control. The Simulation and experimental result show the motor's starting characteristics of the proposal starting system and are compared with centrifugal switch starting motor.

  • Electric vehicles have reached a new level of development with introductions by Chrysler, Ford, Honda and Toyota. Today's charging technology includes conductive and inductive charging systems. There are three standardized charging levels: Level 1: charging can be done from a standard, grounded AC 120V, 3-prong outlet available in all homes; Level 2: charging is at AC 240V, 40 amp charging station with special consumer features to make it easy and convenient to plug in and charge EVs at home or at an EV charging station; Level 3: a high-powered charging "fast charge" technology currently under development that will provide a charge in less than 15 minutes. The incoming AC power is converted to DC and stored in the vehicle's batteries. In this paper, we investigated the application of urban railway DC electric power for electric car charging system.

  • In this paper, we measured PD signals from artificial surface defects and corona discharges under laboratory circumstances like the fields using both HFCT-sensor and UHF-sensor for MV grade XLPE cable with AMP, spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope. Also, detected signals were analyzed via PRPDA system in this paper. As a result, in this case of HFCT-sensor, the amount of background noise are larger than as compared to UHF-sensor. There is needed some hardware or software or software algorithm removing background noise effectively for diagnosis the underground power transmission cable in the case of HFCT-sensor.

  • An improved half-bridge LLC converter with a magamp auxiliary post-regulator is proposed in this paper. The function of the magamp is bypassed when the converter works within the low input-voltage range. Meanwhile, it operates as an auxiliary post-regulator when the input voltage is high. By changing the blocking time of the magamp, the dc gain of the converter can be extended. Hence, the input voltage range of the converter is extended. The realization of proposed topology does not require a complicated circuit. The controller of the magamp can be easily implemented using only passive components, transistors and an OP amp. The generalized operational principle is analyzed and the design criterion for the magamp is presented. Finally, a 25V output, 400W experimental prototype was built and tested for a 160-300V input-voltage range to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 PWM 방식을 이용한 THERMO-CON 제어 회로를 제안하였다. 제안한 회로는 정전압을 형성하기 위한 레귤레이터, 신호를 처리하기 위한 op-amp, 삼각파를 만들기 위한 OSC, 그리고 부하의 상태를 감지하기 위한 AMC 와 ISC 로 구성된다. 테스트 결과 서지 전압인가 시 PWM 방식으로 동작하여 회로의 P/sub D/(Power Dissipation)을 줄여 소자의 파괴를 막고 중부하 시(여러 개의 릴레이 구동 시) PWM 동작을 하여 소자의 파괴를 막는다는 것을 확인하였으며, 출력 쇼트 시 쇼트보호회로에 의해 출력 트랜지스터의 파괴를 막는다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • A new type single beam photoacoustic spectrometer suitable for measuring optical absorption of condensed powder matter with the automatic calibration capability of a source power spectrum is introduced. The signal processing until of this spectrometer consists of a photoacoustic cell a lock-in amp., a switching circuit and a personal computer. The measured optical absorption spectra of a few material by this method are good agreement with the results obtained by the double-beam photoacoustic spectrometer.

  • The hearing aids specific operational amplifier described in this paper is a single-supply, low voltage CMOS amplifier. It works on 1.3V single-supply and gets a gain of 82dB. The 0.18${\mu}m$ CMOS process was chosen to reduce the driven voltage as well as the power dissipation.
