The present article deals with in situ post annealing of ZnO in sputtering system. The ZnO thin films were grown at low temperature of $100^{\circ}C$ and at working pressure of 15 mTorr with RF magnetron sputtering. Having been gown, ZnO thin films were annealed in situ at different temperatures, at annealing ambient pressure of 15 mTorr and in ambients of oxygen and argon respectively. Through analyses of XRDs, it is can be concluded that the crystallinity of annealed ZnO thin films becomes much better than that of as-grown ZnO thin film.
We invesgated the fesibility of thin films deposition by pyrolysis of metalorganic precursors using chemical beam deposition (CBD) process. We attempted to understand the effects of deposition variables such as substrate temperature operating pressure effusion cell temperature and H2 partial pressure on the properties of MgF2 grown by CBD. Mg(tfac)2 was used as a precursor. MgF2 thin films were always grown in an amorphous state and crystallized bypost-annealing. he higher the substrate temperature and the lower the operating pressure the less the impurities I the deposited MgF2 thin films. H2 gas has to be supplied for the pyrolitic reaction of Mg(tfac)2 decomposition. MgF2 films annealed in H2 have lower C impurity than those annealed in O2. But their crysatllinity was independent of annealing atmosphere. The optimum conditions for the prepara-tion of MgF2 films by CBD process were as following : The substrate temperature 55$0^{\circ}C$ the operating pressure 10-4 torr; effusion cell temperature 21$0^{\circ}C$ the percentage of H2 100% Post-annealing in H2 gas was required to remove residual carbon and to form MgF2 crystalline phase.

In this study, in order to improve the electrical properties of low temperature sintering piezoelectric ceramics, $[0.05Pb(Zn_{1/2}W_{1/2})-0.07Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})-0.088Pb(Zr_{0.48}Ti_{0.52})]O_3$(abbreviated as PZW-PMN-PZT) ceramic systems were fabricated using $Bi_2O_3$, CuO and $Li_2CO_3$ as sintering aids and then their piezoelectric and dielectric properties were investigated according to the amount of $Li_2CO_3$ and post-annealing process. Post-annealing process enhanced all physical properties except for mechanical quality factor (Qm). 0.2 wt% $Li_2CO_3$ added and post-annealed specimen showed the excellent values suitable for low loss piezoelectric actuator application as follow: the density = 7.86 $g/cm^3$ electromechanical coupling factor (kp) = 0.575, piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$ = 370 pC/N, dielectric constant ($\varepsilon_r$) = 1546, and mechanical quality factor (Qm) = 1161, respectively.

The degradation mechanism of $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ ultrahigh-temperature heating elements fabricated by self-propagating high-temperature synthesiswas investigated. The $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ specimens (with and without post-annealing) were subjected to ADTs (accelerated degradation tests) at temperatures up to $1,700^{\circ}C$ at heating rates of 3, 4, 5, 7, and $14^{\circ}C/min$. The surface loads of all the specimen heaters were increased with the increase in the target temperature. For the $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ specimens without annealing, many pores and secondary-phase particles were observed in the microstructure; the surface load increased to $23.9W/cm^2$ at $1,700^{\circ}C$, while the bending strength drastically reduced to 242 MPa. In contrast, the $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ specimens after post-annealing retained $single-Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ phases and showed superior durability after the ADT. Consequently, it is thought that the formation of microcracks and coarse secondary phases during the ADT are the main causes for the degraded performance of the $Mo_xW_{1-x}Si_2$ heating elements without post-annealing.
The spin-casted PLZT(9/65/35) thin films through polymeric sol-gel process were prepared on Pt substrate. The crack-free, uniform and dense films were obtained by post-annealing at the temperature between 35$0^{\circ}C$ and $700^{\circ}C$. The composite structure mixed together with large grains called "rosette" and surrounding small grains were observed on the films annealed over $600^{\circ}C$. Pyrochlore phase was completely changed to perovskite phase above $600^{\circ}C$ with the increase of annealing temperature. Dielectric constant (k) was larger with the increase of film thickness and annealing temperature. from the measurements of dielectric constant as a function of measuring temperature, it was also observed that Curie temperature was shifted to higher temperature with the increase of film thickness and annealing temperature. The pyroelectric coefficient(P) of 10 times coated film annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was 65 $\mu$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$.K.$.K.
Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a very promising deposition technique for ZnO thin films. However, there have been very few reports on ZnO grown by ALD. Effects of substrate temperature in both ALD and post annealing on the microstructure and PL properties of ZnO thin films were investigated using X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence, and scanning electron microscopy. The temperature window of ALD is found to be between $130-180^{\circ}C$. The growth rate of ZnO thin film increases as the substrate temperature increases in the temperature range except the temperature window. The crystal quality depends most strongly on the substrate temperature among all the growth parameters of ALD. The crystallinity of the film is improved by increasing the growth thine per ALD cycle or doing post-annealing treatment. The grain size of the film tends to increase and the grain shape tends to change from a worm-like longish shape to a round one as the annealing temperature increases from $600^{\circ}C\;to\;1,000^{\circ}C$.

As display industry requires various applications for future display technology, which can guarantees high level of flexibility and transparency on display panel, oxide semiconductor materials are regarded as one of the best candidates. $InGaZnO_4$(IGZO) has gathered much attention as a post-transition metal oxide used in active layer in thin-film transistor. Due to its high mobility fabricated at low temperature fabrication process, which is proper for application to display backplanes and use in flexible and/or transparent electronics. Electrical performance of amorphous oxide semiconductors depends on the resistance of the interface between source/drain metal contact and active layer. It is also affected by sheet resistance on IGZO thin film. Controlling contact/sheet resistance has been a hot issue for improving electrical properties of AOS(Amorphous oxide semiconductor). To overcome this problem, post-annealing has been introduced. In other words, through post-annealing process, saturation mobility, on/off ratio, drain current of the device all increase. In this research, we studied on the relation between device's resistance and post-annealing temperature. So far as many post-annealing effects have been reported, this research especially analyzed the change of electrical properties by increasing post-annealing temperature. We fabricated 6 main samples. After a-IGZO deposition, Samples were post-annealed in 5 different temperatures; as-deposited, $100^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$. Metal deposition was done on these samples by using Mo through E-beam evaporation. For analysis, three analysis methods were used; IV-characteristics by probe station, surface roughness by AFM, metal oxidation by FE-SEM. Experimental results say that contact resistance increased because of the metal oxidation on metal contact and rough surface of a-IGZO layer. we can suggest some of the possible solutions to overcome resistance effect for the improvement of TFT electrical performances.
The PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) fibers were prepared using the wet spinning processing. To improve ${\beta}$-phase crystalline which closely related piezoelectric property PVDF wet spun fibers conducted post treatment. Post treatment is consisted of heat stretching and annealing process. The heat stretching and annealing conditions were controlled by changing temperature between glass transition temperature and melting temperature. From these experimental data, the resulting crystal structure of the ${\beta}$-phase crystalline was confirmed by FT-IR and XRD experiments. From these analysis results, optimum stretching and annealing conditions of the wet spun PVDF fibers were founded to increase high ${\beta}$-phase crystalline. Furthermore results showed that thermal processing had a direct effect on modifying the crystalline microstructure and also confirmed that heat stretching and annealing could increase the degree of crystallinity and ${\beta}$-phase crystalline. Finally, piezoelectric constant ($d_{11}$) of the post heat treated PVDF fibers reinforced composite were measured to investigate the feasibility for the sensing materials.
Transparent conducting indium tin oxide (ITO) films were deposited onto the Polyethersulfone (PES) substrate by using a magnetron sputter type negative metal ion source. In order to investigate the influence of cesium (Cs) partial pressure during deposition and annealing temperature on the optoelectrical properties of ITO/PES film the films were deposited under different Cs partial pressures and post deposition annealed under different annealing temperature from $100^{\circ}C$ to $170^{\circ}C$ for 20 min at $3\;{\times}\;10^{-1}$ Pa. Optoeleetrical properties of ITO films deposited without intentional substrate heating was influenced strongly by the Cs partial pressure and the Cs partial pressure of $1.5\;{\times}\;10^{-3}$ Pa was characterized as an optimal Cs flow condition. By increasing post-deposition vacuum annealing temperature both optical transmission in visible light region and electrical conductivity of ITO films were increased. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) micrographs showed that the surface roughness also varied with post-deposition vacuum annealing temperature.

The thermal stability of "stuffed" TiN/Ti barrier matals with different annealing history has been studied to improve the contact reliability of Al/Si contacts in 16M DRAM. The annealing conditions before the Al deposition such as film thickness, the annealing temperature and the annealing ambient have been varied. For TiN(900A)/Ti(300A) annealed at 450 in nitrogen ambient to form a "stuffed barrier" by inducing oxygen atoms into grain boundaries, there is no observation of Al penetrations into Si substrates after the post heat treatment of up to 700 even though there are massive amounts of Al found in TiN film after the post heat treatment of 600 indicating that TiN has a "sponge-like" function due to its ability to absorb several amounts of aluminum at elevated temperature. The TiN/Ti diffusion barrier annealed at 550 has, however, failed after the post heat treatment at 600. The thinner diffusion barriers with TiN(300A)/Ti(100A) failed after the post heat treatment at 600.he post heat treatment at 600.
