취업모와 비취업모의 양육효능감, 부모역할만족도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Employed and Unemployed Mother's Parenting Efficacy and Parental Role Satisfaction on Life-Satisfaction)

  • This study explored the effects of parenting efficacy and parental role satisfaction on the life-satisfaction of employed and unemployed mothers. The 527 mothers(234 employed, and 277 unemployed), with a child under 7 years old, were selected for this study. The results were as follows. First, employment had significant correlations with several factors, including the number of children, family income, educational level of parents, parent-child relations, preparedness for parental role conflict, and life-satisfaction. Second, for employed mothers, life-satisfaction had positive relationships with various factors, including family income, fathers' educational level, parenting efficacy, and parental role satisfaction; whereas, that of unemployed mothers had positive relationships with parenting efficacy, and parental role satisfaction. Third, for employed mothers, life-satisfaction was affected by several factors, such as family income, parental role satisfaction, parent-child relations, and preparedness for parental role conflict; however, unemployed mothers were affected by the number of children, the fathers' educational level, and self-confidence relating to the parental role, general satisfaction, and preparedness for parental role conflict.

이혼 가정 자녀의 긍정적 변화에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석: 가구 소득의 조절효과 (Predictors of Positive Changes in Children with Divorced Parents: Focused on Moderating Effects of Family Incomes)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 이혼 가정 자녀의 긍정적 변화에 영향을 미치는 변인을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 이혼 가정 한부모의 지각된 사회적 차별 경험, 양육 어려움, 자녀와의 대화시간, 자녀의 인터넷 사용문제, 이혼 후 자녀의 긍정적 변화 간의 구조적 관련성을 확인하고, 가구 소득에 따른 구조적 관계의 차이를 확인하였다. 분석 자료는 2015년 한부모가족 실태조사 자료의 한부모 1,114명의 데이터를 활용하였으며, 연구문제를 검증하기 위해 구조방정식모형 분석과 다집단 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 한부모가 지각한 차별 경험은 양육어려움(${\beta}=.354$), 인터넷 사용문제(${\beta}=.234$)에 통계적으로 유의한 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 한부모가 지각한 양육 어려움은 자녀와의 대화시간(${\beta}=-.192$), 자녀의 긍정적 변화(${\beta}=-.218$)에 통계적으로 유의한 부적인 영향, 자녀의 인터넷 사용문제(${\beta}=.440$)에 통계적으로 유의한 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 자녀의 인터넷 사용문제는 부모의 이혼 후 자녀의 긍정적 변화(${\beta}=-.199$)에 통계적으로 유의한 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 한부모가 지각한 차별 경험은 자녀와의 대화시간, 양육 어려움, 인터넷 사용문제를 매개로 자녀의 긍정적 변화에 통계적으로 유의한 부적인 영향을 미치는 간접효과(${\beta}=-.167$)가 확인되었다. 셋째, 다집단 분석 결과, 가구 소득에 따른 통계적으로 유의한 경로계수의 크기 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 이혼 후 자녀의 긍정적 변화를 이끌기 위해서는 한부모가 차별을 느끼지 않을 수 있는 사회적 문화 형성과 한부모의 양육 과정에 대한 공식적, 비공식적 지지가 중요하며, 한부모 가정 자녀의 인터넷 과다 사용을 예방하고 줄이기 위한 실천적 노력이 필요함을 시사한다.

영아기 부정적 정서성과 어머니의 사회적 양육행동이 3세 유아의 또래 상호작용에 미치는 영향 : 잠재성장모형을 이용한 종단 연구 (The Effects of Negative Emotionality and Mother's Social Parenting during Infancy on Peer Interaction at Age 3 : A Longitudinal Study Using Latent Growth Modeling)

  • The purpose of the present study was to examine the trajectories of children's negative emotionality and mother's social parenting over a 3-year period (for children at ages 1-3) and to then analyze the bidirectional effects between the two variables. The longitudinal casual relationship among children's negative emotionality, mother's social parenting and peer interaction at age 3 was also examined. The data, taken from the Panel Study on Korean Children, were analyzed using latent growth modeling. The results were as follows. First, the level of negative emotionality was seen to have increased by 2 years of age, whereas the level of mother's social parenting decreased by this point. Second, higher initial negative emotionality predicted decreases in mother's social parenting, However, higher initial mother's social parenting predicted increases in children's negative emotionality. The initial level and slope of mothers' positive parenting predicted peer interaction at age 3, while only the slope of negative emotionality predicted peer interaction. These findings suggest that temperament and parenting predict changes in each other and peer interaction.

부·모의 양육행동이 유아의 실행기능에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parenting Behaviors on Preschoolers' Executive Function)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of parenting behaviors on preschoolers' executive function, focusing on methods of measuring executive function. The subjects of this study were 166 preschoolers who were 3 to 5 years of age, and their parents. Data were collected by various performance-based tests and their parents' reports and analyzed by descriptive statistics and hierarchical linear regression analysis using the SPSS 19.0 program. The major results were as follows: First, maternal autonomous and paternal affective parenting behaviors significantly affected preschoolers' performance-based executive function. Second, maternal affective parenting behaviors significantly affected preschoolers' parent-report executive function. The results suggest the importance of positive parenting practices in the development of preschoolers' executive function.

어머니의 우울과 양육스트레스 및 영유아의 울음과 기질이 가족기능에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Mother's Depression, Parenting Stress, Infant Cry, and Infant Temperament on Family Function)

  • The combined impact of maternal depression, parenting stress, infant cry, and infant temperament on family functions was examined. The sample included 257 mothers in the near communities. Questionnaires completed by the mothers who had 0-36 month old children were used to measure depressive symptoms in mothers, infant cry, infant temperament, parenting stress, and family function. Maternal depression, parenting stress, infant crying and infant temperament had negative influence on family adaptability and family cohesion. Mother's depression had negative effect particularly on infant cry. Infant cry had positive effect on infant temperament. Infant temperament had high direct effect on parenting stress. As a result, it had negative influence on family function.

입원 환아 어머니의 부모 역할 효능감 영향 요인: 질병에 대한 불확실성, 간호 교육 요구도 (The Contribution of Competence in Parenting: Uncertainty related Children's Diseases, and Nursing Educational Need)

  • Purpose: Competence in parenting helps the parent to recognize the ability to resolve problems arising to children, allowing positive interactions with children through desirable child-rasing behavior and smooth communication with children. This study aims to identify the contribution of uncertainty and educational needs to the competence in parenting. Methods: Total 159 mothers responded a questionnaire developed to measure uncertainty, educational needs, and competence in parenting. t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS program were used to analyze the data. Results: We found that uncertainty, nursing educational need, and mothers' age had influence to the competence in parenting. Conclusion: Nursing interventions provided to the mothers of hospitalized children for better parental competence need to include programs for alleviating uncertainty and satisfying the need for nursing education.

부·모의 애정적 양육행동과 유아의 양심 발달 간의 관계에서 의도적 통제의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Effortful Control on the Relationship between Affectionate Parenting Behavior and Preschooler's Conscience)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between parents' affectionate parenting behavior, preschooler's effortful control, and conscience. In this study, the subjects consisted of 335 preschoolers ($M_{month}=65.86$) and their parents. The major results of this study were as follows. First, there were positive correlations between parents' affectionate parenting behavior, preschooler's effortful control, and conscience. Second, preschooler's effortful control mediated the effects of affectionate parenting behavior upon preschooler's conscience. Third, preschooler's effortful control(Time 1) had effects upon conscience(Time 2). In conclusion, this study revealed that parents' affectionate parenting behavior and preschooler's effortful control can have a significant impact on the level of preschooler's conscience.

청소년의 학업성취와 자아평가의 관계에서 부모과정과 학교과정의 보호적-안정화 기능 (Protective-stabilizing function of parenting process and school process in the Relationship Between Adolescents' academic achievement and self-evaluation)

  • The study examined the effects of parenting process(supportive and involving mother-adolescent relationship, father-adolescent relationship) and school process(teachers' support, school life satisfaction) on adolescents' academic achievement and self-evaluation. Participants were 1787 middle school students (902 boys, 885 girls) in KEEP(Korean Education and Employment Panel). Structural equation modeling indicated that parenting and school process influenced adolescents' self-evaluation through adolescents' academic achievement. Also, the analysis with One Way ANOVA revealed that positive school (parenting) processes can serve a protective-stabilizing function when parenting(school) processes are negative.

유아의 스마트폰 과다사용과 관련한 부모요인 규명: 체계적 고찰 및 메타분석 (Parental Factors Associated with Smartphone Overuse in Preschoolers: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify parental factors associated with smartphone overuse in preschoolers. Methods: A systematic review was conducted according to PRISMA guidelines. Relevant studies published in peer-reviewed journals from 2009 to June 2019 were identified through systematic search in 10 electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Central, EMBASE, Web of Science, NDSL, KISS, KMbase, KoreaMed, and RISS). Standardized effect sizes were calculated to quantify the associations of parental factors with smartphone overuse in preschoolers using meta-analysis. Results: A total of 30 cross-sectional studies involving 7,943 participants met the inclusion criteria. The following were negatively correlated with smartphone overuse in preschoolers: mother's parenting self-efficacy (r=-.35), mother-child attachment (r=-.28), mother's positive parenting behavior (r=-.28), mother's positive parenting attitude (r=-.25), and father's parenting involvement (r=-.15). Further, maternal factors such as smartphone addiction tendency (r=.41), parenting stress (r=.40), negative parenting behavior (r=.35), negative parenting attitude (r=.14), smartphone usage time (r=.26), employment status (r=.18), and age (r=.12) were positively correlated with smartphone overuse in preschoolers. Conclusion: Several parental factors influence smartphone overuse in preschoolers. These findings emphasize the need to assess and enhance the parental factors identified in this study to prevent smartphone overuse in preschoolers. Accordingly, we recommend the development of preventive interventions to strengthen parent-related protective factors and mitigate risk factors.

성별에 따라 아동이 지각한 부모의 긍정적 양육방식과 자아탄력성이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parenting Behavior Perceived by Children and Ego-resilience on School Adjustment according to Child Gender)

  • 본 연구는 성별에 따라 아동이 지각한 부모의 긍정적 양육방식과 자아탄력성이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 대상은 한국아동 청소년패널조사 4차년도(2013년) 데이터로서 초등학교 1학년 아동 총 2,119명(남아 1,093명, 여아 1,026명)이었다. 첫째, 남아가 여아에 비해 부모의 양육방식을 더 긍정적으로 지각하고 자아탄력성이 높으며 학교생활에 잘 적응하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 남아와 여아 모두 부모의 긍정적 양육방식과 자아탄력성 및 학교생활적응 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남아는 부모의 양육방식의 모든 하위요인을 보다 긍정적으로 지각할수록, 자아탄력성이 높을수록 학교생활적응의 모든 하위요인에서 적응을 잘하는 것으로 나타났다. 여아는 학교생활적응 중 학습활동, 학교규칙, 교사관계에서는 남아와 동일한 연구결과가 나타났지만, 교우관계에서는 남아와 달리 합리적 설명이 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 공식적으로 학교생활을 시작하는 1학년 아동의 학교생활적응을 향상시킬 수 있는 부모의 긍정적 양육방식과 자아탄력성의 중요성에 대한 기초자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
