Factors influencing the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior in human papillomavirus-infected women: a cross-sectional survey

  • Purpose: This study investigated the influence of cervical cancer knowledge, human papillomavirus (HPV) knowledge, self-efficacy, and uncertainty on the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior in HPV-infected women. Methods: This descriptive correlational study was conducted among 129 adult women aged 20 to 65 years who received positive HPV results at a general hospital in Changwon, Korea. The dataset was analyzed using descriptive statistics, the independent t-test, analysis of variance, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Results: The mean score for the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior was high (4.43±0.65). This intention was significantly different according to age at first sexual intercourse (F=7.38, p=.001), HPV type (F=4.79, p=.010), vaccination (t=3.19, p=.002), and condom use (t=3.03, p=.003). The intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior showed significant, weak-to-moderate positive correlations with HPV knowledge (r=.22, p=.012) and self-efficacy (r=.42, p<.001). Self-efficacy (β=.46, p<.001), first sexual intercourse at <20 years (β=.45, p<.001), first sexual intercourse at 20-24 years (β=.29, p=. 018), HPV high- and low-risk group infection (β=.26, p=.019), HPV high-risk group infection (β=.26, p=.026), and vaccination (β=.21, p=.007) significantly influenced the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior. These variables explained 34.6% of variance in intention. Conclusion: Study findings support the need to develop a program that effectively conveys accurate information about cervical cancer prevention to HPV-infected women and helps them enhance self-efficacy to boost the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior.

한국 여자대학생의 흡연행동 원인분석 (An Analysis of the Factors Influencing Smoking Behavior of Korean Female College Students)

  • This study examined smoking behavior of Korean female college students by applying the Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior, and tried to uncover the factors influencing smoking behavior. The main findings are as follows: First, the attitude toward smoking behavior and the perceived behavioral control were statistically significant in predicting smoking intention. The smoking intention was also significant in predicting smoking behavior. Thus, in order to promote to stop smoking, smoking prevention education emphasizing to reduce smoking intention, to lower the positive attitude toward smoking behavior and to enhance the capacity for perceived behavioral control seems to be helpful. Second, the smoking intention influenced significantly over the smoking behavior in all situations. But the influences of the attitude toward smoking behavior, the subjective norms, and the perceived behavioral control over the smoking intention varied from not significant in one situation to significant in the other situation. Thus, different prevention programs according to the characteristics of individuals need to be developed. Third, in a path analysis, the grade and the degree of satisfaction with college life had the indirect influence, and the growth place had the direct influence over the attitude toward smoking behavior and smoking intention. Thus the smoking prevention program focusing on the students who are the first grade, less satisfied with college life, and growing up in small cities should be developed.

한국과 중국 대학생의 창업의도에 미치는 영향요인 : 국적과 전공의 조절효과 (Determinants of Entrepreneurial Intention among University Students in Korea and China : Moderating effect of Nationality and Major)

  • 본 연구는 한국과 중국 대학생의 창업의도 영향요인에 대해 분석하였다. Ajzen의 계획된 행동이론을 바탕으로 하여 개인의 태도, 주관적 규범 그리고 인지된 행동의 통제가 창업의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 또한 국적과 전공 특성에 따라 계획된 행동이론의 영향요인이 창업의도에 미치는 영향의 차이점을 비교하였다. 창업의도 영향요인을 살펴보기 위해서 한국과 중국의 컴퓨터공학과와 경영학과 총 359명의 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 실증분석 하였다. 주요 분석결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 창업에 대한 개인의 태도와 인지된 행동의 통제는 창업의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 반면 주관적 규범은 유의한 영향을 미지지 않았다. 둘째, 계획된 행동이론의 영향요인이 창업의도에 미치는 영향은 국가와 전공별로 다르게 나타났다. 개인의 태도는 국가와 전공에 무관하게 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 주관적 규범은 양 국가 모두에서 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났고 컴퓨터공학과 학생에게 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 인지된 행동의 통제는 한국 대학생과 경영학과 학생에게 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 대학생 창업의도에 대한 시사점과 연구의 한계와 향후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

스마트패션제품 수용에 관한 연구 - 확장된 기술수용모형 실증연구 - (A study on acceptance of smart fashion products - An empirical test of an extended technology acceptance model -)

  • Using the extended technology acceptance model (TAM), the study aimed to understand consumers' adoption process for smart fashion products. The research model was designed to examine the impacts of perceived ease of use and usefulness on attitude and behavior intention toward smart fashion products based on the technology innovativeness, enjoyment, and subjective norm variables. An online survey was conducted on consumers by employing a marketing research company. A total of 230 useable responses were obtained. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was performed to test the measurement model. The proposed hypotheses were tested by employing the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results found a positive impact of perceived ease of use on usefulness and a positive influence of usefulness on attitude and behavior intention. Attitude had a positive effect on behavior intention. In addition, technology innovativeness was found to have a positive influence on perceived ease of use and enjoyment had a positive influence on usefulness and attitude. Subjective norm predicted behavior intention. The findings of the study contribute to smart fashion literature and have important implications for smart fashion product developers and marketers, as they offer insights into the important role of technology innovativeness, enjoyment, and subjective norms perceived by consumers in improving attitudes and behavior intentions toward the products. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.

일부 대학생의 절주행위 의도와 관련요인 조사 연구 : 계획된 행위이론의 적용 (Korean Undergraduate Students' Intention, Attitude, Perceived Control, and Social Pressure for Moderate Drinking Behavior)

  • The purspose of this study is to examine the undergraduate students' attitudes, salient beliefs, perceived self-control and intentions for moderate drinking behavior of their own. Two hundred and twenty five students in two universities in Seoul and Suwon participated in this study. Questionnaires developed by this investigator under the guidance of the theory of planned behavior were used to collect data, Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA. Pearson correlation coefficients. and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The majority of the students showed positive attitudes toward the moderate drinking behavior. Students perceived conflict messages. however. from their significant others about their moderate drinking behavior. While parents and other family members as sisters and brothers strongly supported the moderate drinking behavior of students, friends and school-mates did not. More than half of the students did not intend to reduce their alcohol consumption in the near future. Students' attitudes and perceived self-control were the predictor variables of the intention while subjective norms were not. Students who intended to reduce their alcohol consumption showed a more positive attitude, subjective norm, and higher perceived self-control scores than who did not. These students who were intent for moderate drinking behavior spent less money for drinking, had less opportunities to drink, and drank small amounts of alcohol Moderate Drinking Behavior programs focusing on students who were heavy drinkers, however, did not intend to reduce their alcohol consumption should be developed focused on their characters. Programs for students who intended to reduce their alcohol consumption also recommended to help the students' positive intention continued.

간호사의 직무착근도와 이직의도의 관계에서 조직시민행동의 매개효과 (Mediation Effect of Organizational Citizenship Behavior between Job Embeddedness and Turnover Intention in Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effect of organizational citizenship behavior between job embeddedness and turnover intention in hospital nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 241 nurses in 3 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals in Daegu and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations and structural equation model (SEM) with the PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. Results: There were negative relationships between job embeddedness and turnover intention (r=-.53, p<.01), and organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention (r=-.39, p<.01) but a positive relationship between job embeddedness and organizational citizenship behavior (r=.39, p<.01). There was a partial mediating effect of organizational citizenship behavior between job embeddedness and turnover intention (${\chi}^2=91.02$, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that organizational citizenship behavior has a mediating effect on the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention in hospital nurses, suggesting that enhancing organizational citizenship behavior is required. in order to promote job embeddedness and reduce turnover intention.

메시지 유형에 따른 A형 간염 예방교육 프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of a Hepatitis Education Program according to Message Frames)

  • Purpose: This study was examined the effects of a hepatitis A education on attitude, vaccination intention, and preventive behavior. Methods: Eighty-eight college students at two universities participated in this study. The data were collected from August 29 to September 30 in 2011 and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ${\chi}^2$ test. Results: There were no significant differences of preventive behavior of hepatitis A between the positive and negative message groups (t=1.10, p=.499). However, the negative message group had a significantly higher attitude of preventive behavior (t=0.92, p=.049) and vaccination intention (${\chi}^2$=5.43, p=.039) than the positive message group. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that negatively framed messages are effective on increasing the attitude, vaccination intention, and preventive behavior.

글로벌 역량과 예술적 역량이 창업 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Global and Artistic Competence on the Intention of Start-up)

  • 세계 경제가 글로벌화 됨에 따라 개인이나 국가의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 인재 양성 요구가 높아지고 있다. 해외 유학은 양질의 교육에 접근하고 현지 시장, 국제 시장을 더 가까이에서 접할 수 있는 교육 방법 중 하나로 여겨지고 있다. 이러한 사회적 분위기에서 본 연구는 유학생들을 대상으로 글로벌 역량과 예술적 역량 요인들을 정의하고, 이 역량들이 창업의도에 미치는 영향과 영향관계에서의 네트워킹 행동의 매개효과, 사회적 지지의 조절 효과에 대해 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫번째, 지식, 기술, 태도 등 글로벌 역량의 3가지 하위요인들은 네트워킹 행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 두번째, 표현, 창조성, 미디어 등 예술적 역량의 3가지 하위요인도 네트워킹 행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고 있었다. 세번째, 네트워킹 행동은 창업 의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 네번째, 사회적 지지는 네트워킹 행동과 창업 의도 사이에서 조절효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯번째, 네트워킹 행동은 글로벌 역량과 창업 의도 사이에서 대한 매개효과가 있었다. 본 연구는 새로운 교육 환경과 사회문화 환경에 적응하고 있는 유학생들을 대상으로 연구함으로써 유학생들의 네트워킹 행동이 창업의도에 긍정적인 역할을 한다는 점을 검증한 데 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

감염병전담병원 간호사의 COVID-19 관련 스트레스, 강인성 및 조직시민행동이 간호의도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Nurses' COVID-19 Related Stress, Hardiness, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Nursing Intention in Infectious Diseases Hospitals)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to verify the effects of nurses' COVID-19 related stress, hardiness, and organizational citizenship behavior on nursing intention in infectious disease hospitals. Methods: The participants were 182 nurses. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple stepwise regression analysis with the SPSS program. Results: The nursing intention of nurses differed significantly by age (p=.013), marital status (p=.002), clinical career (p=.018), job position (p=.005), and experience of education for infectious disease management (p=.016). A statistically significant positive correlation was observed between nursing intention and COVID-19 related stress(r=.18), and between nursing intention and organizational citizenship behavior(r=.43). COVID-19 related stress, and organizational citizenship behavior explained 21% of the nursing intention. Conclusion: Based on the above results, improve the nursing intention of infectious disease hospital nurses exposed to risk, and it is necessary to manage inadequate stress of infectious diseases and cultivate organizational citizenship behavior.

온라인 쇼핑몰에서 서비스회복 방식이 고객용서를 매개로 고객 행동의도에 미치는 영향 - SOR 모델을 기반으로 (A Study on the Effect of Service Recovery through Mediating Customer Forgiveness on Customer Behavior Intention of Online Shopping Mall - Based On the SOR Model)

  • Purpose: Based on the theory of "Stimulus-Organism-Response" (S-O-R), this thesis takes customer forgiveness as a medium variable to explore the impact of merchant service remedy on customer behavior intention in the context of online shopping service failure. This thesis divides the merchant service remedy into two dimensions: spiritual recovery and material recovery, and reveals the influence difference of different merchant service remedy methods on customer behavior intention and the mediating role of customer forgiveness. Methods : 325 questionnaires were distributed and 307 valid questionnaires were collected for data analysis. The relationship between potential variables is proposed by using Structural Equations Modeling. Results : The two dimensions of service recovery have significant positive impact on customer forgiveness, and physical recovery has greater impact on customer forgiveness. In the influence of physical recovery on customer behavior intention, customer forgiveness is a partial mediating effect. However, in the influence of spiritual recovery on customer behavior intention, customer forgiveness is a complete mediating effect. Conclusion : In case of service faults, merchants should take the initiative to provide appropriate physical recovery and provide spiritual recovery sincerely and patiently. Only in this way can they regain good impression in the hearts of consumers and promote them to improve the quality of service recovery, so as to increase their willingness to repurchase Intention and positive word of mouth.
