A Study on the Surface Properties of Polymer Insulators for Improving Electrical Insulation Performance (전기 절연성능 향상을 위한 폴리머 애자의 표면 특성 연구)

  • In this paper, we investigated the surface properties of polymer insulators to improve electrical insulation performance. First, after washing the polymer insulator in various ways, its contact angle was increased, thereby improving the hydrophobic properties and electrical insulation properties. In addition, TiO2 thin films, which have been used as a photocatalytic material and have been applied to the polymer insulator surface of to enhance the surface and electrical insulating properties. For the sputtering method, the contact angle after coating the TiO2 thin film increased with increasing RF power, but it was lower compared to that before coating, indicating that the hydrophobic properties of the surface were slightly deteriorated. Consequently, the electrical properties of the polymer-insulating material were maintained or improved after the TiO2 thin-film coating.

  • We studied a pollution mechanism for simulation of contamination environment in industrial concentrated area of around a metropolitan that made to circulated flow in the chamber. In case of the virgin both side of EPDM or Silicon insulator, we confirmed that the pollution to much more than service insulator in the field. Also contamination of initial state of the virgin didn't falling in spite of physical outside factor easily. This study confirmed to that the silicon was too much accumulated pollution contrast to EPDM insulator from scatter(spray) point to regular interval position use the Kaolin contaminant in the chamber. There are effected to the hydrophobicity of polymer insulator due to the pollution. In ceramic insulator, we get to know that pollution is much more at the Post insulator with vertical than with horizontal setup insulator.

  • This paper introduces the data processing method and the measurement of the leakage current flowing through polymer insulators. For ageing diagnosis of polymer insulator, data aquisition system was developed to record the leakage current of insulator being tested. Hence, we have gained information for life time from its leakage current. the DAS is protected against over-voltage which would develop in the event of a flashover of the test sample.

  • The purposes of this paper ensure for the economical efficiency, accuracy, and good applications in domestic site set up the power installations. For the efficient conduct of these purposes, there are measured the partial discharge(PD) used by current probe and compared with detected signal of UV sensor. As the results, PD generated about 35% of breakdown voltage in polymer insulator. UV signal due to high voltage in polymer insulator is detected from about 1.7mV at 30kV to about 3mV at 70kV. Signal detected by ultra-sonic is increased at about 75% of breakdown voltage abruptly. It appears that error range is increased in boundary. UV sensor is needed must use from the practical and economical points of view.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 국내에서 개발된 자기재 및 플라스틱 핀 애자의 단점을 보완한 실리콘 고무 재질의 하우징으로 구성된 폴리머 핀 애자(Polymer Pin Insulator) ANSI Class 55-3에 대하여 ANSI Std. C29.5(1984)에서 요구되는 전기적 및 기계적 특성을 고찰하였다. 정격전압이 11.5kV인 폴리머 핀 애자의 건조 및 주수 상용주파섬락전압시험, 뇌충격섬락전압시험, 전파장해전압시험 등의 전기적 특성과 굽힘시험 등의 기계적 특성을 고찰하였으며, 그 결과 ANSI Std. C29.5(1984)의 요구사양에 만족한 실선로에 적용할 수 있는 특성을 나타내었다.

  • We have synthesized a novel fully soluble and low-temperature processable polyimide gate insulator (KSPI) through one-step condensation polymerization. For the preparation of KSPI, 5- (2,5-dioxytetrahydrofuryl)-3-methly-3-cyclohexene- 1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride (DOCDA) and 4,4- diaminodiphenylmethane (MDA) were used as monomers and fully imidized KSPI was completely soluble in organic solvents like ${\gamma}-butyrolactone$ and 2-butoxyethanol, etc.

  • This paper studies on the improvement of non-tracking property which is very important matter for developing polymer insulator. Non-Tracking property of silicon rubber used for polymer insulator was investigated by ASTM D 2303 according to Aluminium Hydrate filler. Furthermore other electrical and mechanical properties were estimated. The optimum amount of Aluminium Hydrate should be considered by following test results.

  • 본 연구에서는 polymer gate insulators에 따른 pentacene 유기 박막 트랜지스터 (Organic Thin-Film Transistors)의 전기적 특성을 atom force microscope (AFM), x-ray diffraction (XRD) 그리고 I-V 측정을 이용하여 분석하였다. Pentacene 박막 트랜지스터의 전기적 특성은 pentacene의 증착 조건뿐만 아니라 polymer gate insulator에 따라 크게 영향을 받는다. 따라서 다양한 polymer 기판 위에 온도, 두께 그리고 증착 속도에 따라 pentacene을 증착 하였다. 그리고 증착된 pentacne을 AFM, XRD를 이용하여 pentacene의 구조, 결정화 그리고 grain 크기 등을 분석하였다. 또한 inverted stagger며 구조의 pentacene 박막 트랜지스터 소자를 제작하고 I-V 측정하여 그 결과를 분석하였다.

  • Polymeric composite insulators have been in use for outdoor insulation. However, our knowledge about their long-term performance in a outdoor environment is still very limited. Especially, these insulator are subjected to the environmental stress such as ultraviolet radiation. Hence, in this paper. the influence of UV radiation on the aging of the shed materials was evaluated. For the aging evaluation, these insulators studied by experiment methods such as contact angle measurement. oxidation induced time. SEM/EDX, FTRI-ATR, tracking test for the different insulator samples. With the increased UV exposure time, samples are shown to exhibit degradation comparable to those of new ones

  • There have been numerous accelerated aging laboratory tests for evaluating suitability of polymeric materials and devices. Aging test for materials and its full scale device has been conducted, but poor correlation of aging test such as service experience were observed. Service experience plays a key role in the utility section of composite insulators. A meaningful and reliable accelerated aging test is needed for evaluating composite insulator. During the service these insulators are subjected to aging stress such as humidity, pollution, and electrical field, and erosion and tracking of the weathershed occurs. This paper presents the criteria of reliability evaluation and evaluation facilities for 22.9 kV suspension composite insulator. We adopt the criteria of reliability evaluation consist of two test methods. One is CEA tracking wheel test for examining the tracking and erosion performance of composite insulator. The other is multi-stress aging test for examining effects of environmental factors such as UV, temperature, humidity, etc on composite insulator.
