TACAN modulation generator for antenna purpose that precisely adjusts factor of modulation (변조도를 정밀하게 조정 하는 TACAN 안테나용 변조신호발생기)

  • TACAN(TACtical Air Navigation) was created to support military aircraft's short range navigation (200~300 mile). TACAN must fulfill a condition of MIL-STD-291C, the U.S. Military Standards, which addresses the sum of 15Hz and 135Hz should be within 55%, following the factor of modulations for both to be $21{\pm}9%$ each. Within the existing TACAN antenna, modulation factor for 15Hz and 135Hz are created differently depending on its diameter, wavelength, angle of gradient, internal modulation method or using frequency code. It brings up a problem where applications needed to be stopped and repaired when modulating signal exceeds the standard of MIL-STD-291C since the existing TACAN antenna does not have coordination function. Hence, plan and produce a modulating signal generator using FPGA, and check the changes in the modulation factor for 15HZ and 135Hz, depending on the values that have been set in each criteria. Moreover, allow the modulating signal generator to be automatically adjusted based on the monitoring signal emitted by antenna, and place alarm sound just in case if it exceeds the standard.

Effect of Violae Herba Water Extract on the Proinflammatory Factors of LPS-Induced Macrophages (자화지정 추출물이 LPS로 유발된 대식세포의 염증인자에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Violae Herba Water Extract (VH) on the proinflammatory factors of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced on the production of inflammatory mediators in RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages cells. We examined effect of Violae Herba Water Extract on the cell viability of RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages cells. Futhermore, After 24 hours treatment we investigated anti-inflammatory effect of Violae Herba Water Extract by the production of Bio-Plex cytokine assay, concentrations of various cytokines such NO, $interleukin(IL)-1{\beta}$, tumor necrosis factor ${\alpha}(TNF-{\alpha})$ and IL-6. The water extract of Violae Herba significantly inhibited the production of NO, $IL-1{\beta}$, $TNF-{\alpha}$ and IL-6 at the concentration of 25, 50, 100 and $200{\mu}g/mL$ in the LPS-induced RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages cells with no changes in the cell viability of them. These results suggest that water extract of Violae Herba has anti-inflammatory effect related with its inhibition of proinflammatory cytokines such as $IL-1{\beta}$, $TNF-{\alpha}$ and IL-6 in the LPS-induced RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages cells. Further research is needed to develop therapeutic agents for inflammatory diseases using Violae Herba.

The effect of job stress of system maintenance staff on emotion exhaustion: Focusing on the moderating effect of professional identity (정보시스템 운영인력의 직무 스트레스가 정서적 소진에 미치는 영향: 전문직 정체성의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The fourth industrial revolution is expected to bring about great changes in information technology sector and create a variety of jobs. However, the psychological anxiety of IT staff is increasing due to stress and uncertainty created by the new technologies. Accordingly, researchers examined how professional identity moderate the effect of job stress of system maintenance staff on emotion exhaustion. For empirical studies, data was collected from 160 employees responsible for managing and supporting IS, and the hypothesis was verified using SPSS 21. The analysis results showed that role conflicts, role ambiguity, and qualitative work overload, which are components of job stress, have affected the emotion exhaustion. Professional identity had a moderating effect the relationship between qualitative work overload and emotion exhaustion. On the other hand, professional identity did not moderate the relationship between role conflict and emotion exhaustion, role ambiguity and emotion exhaustion. As professional identity lessen the psychological burden and emotion exhaustion of introducing new technologies, organizations need to provide support to enhance professional identity for system maintenance staff.

  • According to the recent expansion of the network environment, the spread of smart devices is continuously increasing. With the spread of smart devices such as smart phones, smart pads and wearables, changes are taking place in smart technologies and IT convergence technologies. The development of smart technology is a key element of the 4th industrial technology. The Fourth Industrial Revolution expanded the new service-based industry by adding intelligence to residential, industrial and production environments using IT convergence and smart devices. Research on providing various services using smart technologies, such as smart home, smart factory, smart farm, and smart healthcare, is being conducted in variety. In particular, There is a sharp rise in smart homes due to the proliferation of IoT devices and the growth of sensor technology, control technology, applications, data management, and cloud services. Smart home services using smart technology provide residents with convenient, beneficial services and environments. Smart home service has complemented the existing home network service, but there still are flaws to be modified. In other words, the spread of smart devices, the development of service provider-oriented services, and the interlocking of services have limitations in providing services in consideration of user environment and user state. In order to solve this problem, this study proposes a smart home service system that considers the situation of the elderly.

A Convergence study on amount of remaining toothpaste in the mouth according to the number of rinse after brushing (잇솔질 후 헹굼 횟수에 따른 구강 잔여 세치제의 양에 대한 융합연구)

  • This study aimed to suggest the optimum number of rinsing by researching changes in optical density and pH in accordance with the number of rinsing after toothbrushing, and then verifying the amount of residual toothpaste in mouth. Total 14 university students who had healthy body with no difficulties in daily life were selected from the students of K university in Daegu as the research subjects. The research subjects rinsed their mouths with 40ml of water from zero time to 12 times after toothbrushing. After collecting each rinsing water, the optical density and pH were measured. In the results of measuring the optical density value of each rinsing water, the rinsing water of six-seven times or more after toothbrushing showed the constant value of optical density, which was statistically significant(p<0.05). There were no differences in accordance with the amount of toothpaste such as 1g, 1.5g, and 2g. Based on such results of this study, it would be necessary to provide the education of the use of dentifrice, and also to have diverse researches on the effects of residual dentifrice in mouth on the oral cavity.

Evaluation of Accuracy and Utilization of the Drone Photogrammetry for Open-pit Mine Monitoring (노천광산 모니터링을 위한 드론 사진측량의 정확도 및 활용성 평가)

  • The development of open-pit mines leads to large-area topographical changes in highland forests and can lead to severe deterioration of forests, requiring continuous monitoring. The drone photogrammetry is performed at a lower altitude than the existing manned aerial photogrammetry, and thus has a relatively high accuracy. The purpose of this study is to construct spatial information of large open pit mine using drone photogrammetry and to evaluate the accuracy and utilization of the results. The accuracy of the drone photogrammetric results was 0.018 ~ 0.063m in the horizontal direction and 0.027m ~ 0.088m in the vertical direction. These results satisfy the permissible accuracy of 1: 1,000 digital topographic map and it can be used for open mine monitoring. The geospatial information of the open pit mine can be used in various ways, and it can be used to monitor the quantitative change of a specific area for time series change through data management by periodic data acquisition. If drone photogrammetry is applied to open-pit mine monitoring in the future, work time and cost can be greatly reduced compared to the conventional GNSS or total station method, and the work efficiency can be greatly improved because more visible data can be generated.

A Study on the Effects of the Home-Linked Indirect Smoking Prevention Program for Early Childhood (유아기 간접흡연예방 가정연계교육 프로그램의 효과)

  • This study was conducted to prove the effectiveness of home-linked indirect smoking prevention education in early childhood in improving the awareness, skills, attitudes and willingness to protect themselves from smoking. 208 5-year-old children were recruited from three kindergartens located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Children in the experimental group received home-linked indirect smoking prevention education. Children in the comparative group, received indirect smoking prevention education in kindergarten. Children in the control group received general health education. The results revealed that all groups showed significant differences between pretest and posttest in awareness of second-smoke, attitudes and willingness to stop smoking. However, the skills to protect oneself from second-smoke showed a significant difference in the experimental group and the comparative group. The values of changes among the groups showed high increases in the order of experimental, comparative, and control groups. This shows that home-linked education had considerable positive effects on indirect smoking prevention.

  • According to industrialization and urbanization, the complex cultural space have been developed for residents within a region. Focusing on these changes, we wanted to find out what functions the complex cultural space have and how these functions affect the customer's perceived value and revisit intention of customers. This study have a purpose to help the local government and the corporation who manage the complex cultural space to build operation strategy by utilizing the function of the complex cultural space. To this end, a questionnaire was compiled based on a literature study related to a complex cultural space, and data was collected. It was analyzed using SPSS Win Ver. 22.0 and PROCESS macro v3.4. As a result, it was found that the function of the complex cultural space had some significant influence on customer's perceived value and intention to revisit. and showed how each function had a an influence on customer's perceived value and on re-visiting intention. This study has significance in that it can contribute to the local government and the corporations' operation strategy and management direction of the complex cultural space. And it will contribute to the study of the complex cultural space's macro role as e tool of regional revitalization.

  • COVID-19 is hitting the world. In order to bring about new ways of innovation in the space sector, we need to analyze changes in the space sector and design new challenge strategies. COVID-19 exposes inherent vulnerabilities in the space sector. In particular, COVID-19 is causing supply chain shocks in the space industry, resulting in delays in the supply of systems, subsystems and parts due to a complete or partial interruption of a manufacturing unit. As the overall impact of New Normal on the industry is overall, we continue to look at it in the space sector. COVID is causing supply chain shock in the space industry. It causes a delay in the supply of systems, subsystems and parts due to a complete or partial interruption of a manufacturing unit. In the supply of launch services, the launch schedule is being delayed, but the main launch is still taking place. Demand for major applications such as environmental monitoring is soaring in the earth observation utilization sector. Analyzing the impact on manufacturing, the vendor-based contraction is bringing delays in the supply of systems, subsystems and components, and launch service providers are trying to minimize delays in the launch schedule.

Changes in the Number of Applicants and Mean Score and Applicants' Responses on the Test Items of 'Science Inquiry' of the CSAT (대학수학능력시험 '과학 탐구'의 응시자 수와 평균 점수 변화 및 문항에 대한 학생 반응)

  • This study investigated the trends in the number of applicants and mean score and applicants' responses on the test items of 'science inquiry' of the College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) implemented for 3 years$(1999\;{\sim}2001)$. The results of this study were as follows: The percentage of applicants of science track for 1995 CSAT were 43.13%, but reduced to 29.5% for 2001 CSAT. And unlike other tracks, the percentage of male applicants, ranking above average, of science track was 65.58%, which is about twofold of female applicants(34.42%). The mean score of 'Science inquiry' was 58.6 in 1999, and 69.5 in 2001. And the score of the applicants, ranking above average, of humanity and social science course and science course, were 85.8 and 90.7 respectfully in 2001 CSAT. These high mean scores were caused by the policy of "easy CSAT" so called. Most of test items were developed to have difficulty 60-79% or above 80%. This easy CSAT provoked intense dispute about the discriminating power of CSAT. The mean score of male applicants was higher than that of female. But the difference decreases every year. Applicants were generally very good at solving tests focusing on process skills only but poor at solving tests related to physics or calling for two or more science concepts. Thus special measures to cope with the decrease in applicants, especially female applicants, for science track should be provided. To increase discriminating power of CSAT, it is recommended to develop test items with wider range of difficulty and to reduce test items which are focussing process skills and can be solved without any special science concepts. And special consideration should be given to teaching the content area with poor achievement and high actual difficulty compared to the expected.
