  • Not only has there been movement along the sectoral continuum, Johnston argues, but changes in the spatial balance of policing are also visible. More concretely, he suggests that British policing has been undergoing a century-long process that has gathered pace since the 1960s. Three factors have been central to this process. First, legislative centralization brought about by the Police Act 1964 - which established the tripartite structure for police governance and amalgamated forces - and the Local Government Act 1972 which reorganized local government. Secondly, the political and industrial unrest of the 1970s and early 1980s led to the establishment of new levels of national police co-operation and, in the words of one author, to the establishment of a 'de facto national police force'. Thirdly, increasing European influence has further internationalized police co-operation and organization. Johnston concludes that the spatial restructuring that appears to be taking place in British policing is indicative of a broader process of fragmentation of social structures and systems for maintaining order.

  • Individual values exert strong influence on attitudes, behaviors and lifestyles of a person. Furthermore, Individual values predict personal world views and can predict behavior and behavioral predispositions in the organization. So, individual values influence the organization strongly. And, organizational culture in police is affected by the values of police officers. The aim of this study is to make use of the theory of human values developed by Rokeach as a theoretical framework to evaluate value preferences among police officers in Korea and have a thorough grasp of the point of sameness and difference with two studies. In this study, I analyze data and make a comparative study of values with preceding studies I find that police officers regard personal values as more important than social values. A noticeable finding of this study is the middle ranking of the value of equality among police officers. It's different result with other studies. And, the value of national security is the low ranking among police officers. It's the same result with preceding studies.

  • As part of the police reform, the current government is trying to establish a police bureau under the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and improve the personnel management of the police. Like the prosecution bureau under the Ministry of Justice, the main goal of the police is to establish a police support bureau in the Ministry of Public Administration and Security to have personnel, budget, disciplinary action, and inspection. However, the government's control of police rights was opposed mainly by the "Police Workplace Council," which is like a police union, and even police officials agreed with it, and the opposition was severe. It is becoming a form of struggle between the government and police organizations. As a police major, I don't want to side with anyone and support the police. However, I thought about what democratic control of the police should be with, considered what the police reform plan is, and analyzed the legal and institutional aspects of the current police, and expressed the following issues. First, this paper is as follows: First, we considered what the democratic control of the police was. Second, We focused on reform measures such as the personnel system and institutional approach. Third, I presented my argument on what the police reform plan is.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the compaction and virtue experienced by police officers in the organization on positive emotion and, second, to demonstrate the effect of positive emotion on the organization uniformity, which is subordinate variable. Studies have confirmed that the compaction and virtue experienced by police officers have a positive effect on positive emotion, and that positive emotion has a positive effect on the phenomenon of tissue co-ordination. And it has been shown that positive emotion plays a full role in the relationship between compassion, virtue and organizational co-ordination, and that positive emotion and collective self-esteem plays a controlling role in the relationship with organizational co-ordination. • Organizational climate and organization culture can be some of the leading factors in hindering knowledge sharing within the organization. It is generally accepted that successful knowledge management practice, including knowledge sharing, comes as a result of a conducive and knowledge sharing friendly environment. Organizations that promote and reward collective work generate a trustful and a more collaborative learning culture. The perception of fairness in an organization has been considered an important indicator of employee behavior, attitude, and motivation. This study investigates organizational justice perception and its impact on knowledge sharing practices among forensic experts in the Turkish National Police. The study findings revealed that senior officers, who are experts in the field, have the strongest organizational justice perception. Meanwhile, noncommissioned officers or technicians bear positive but comparatively weaker feelings about the existence of justice within the organization. The study argues that those who satisfy their career expectations tend to have a higher organizational justice perception.

  • The court in Korea values evidence justice, and also demands justification for the process of collecting evidence. Therefore, it is necessary to raise the level of organizational commitment, which means that the police investigators performing these tasks feel attached to the police organization they belong to, and that they feel united about the goals of the organization. Based on this recognition, the study analyzed the effects of the police's perception of organizational Justice on organizational commitment, and classified organizational Justice into distributive Justice, procedure Justice and interaction Justice. Therefore, this study analyzes the effect of the police's perception of organizational Justice on organizational commitment and verifies the effect through multiple regression analysis by injecting the trust of Supervisors into a mediating variable. The study was also conducted on the assumption that the trust of Supervisors is important in carrying out the field investigators work in the South Korean police. To achieve the purpose of this research, a total of three surveys were conducted from May 2017 to October 2019 at the National Police Agency using the selection process of investigators and job training courses for the national police, and a total of 500 copies were used as analysis data. Looking at the results analysis of this study, first, it was found that there was a statistically significant static (+) effect on organizational commitment, where the organizational Justice of police officers was a independent variable. Second, the relationship between organizational Justice and organizational commitment has shown that the trust of Supervisors has a mediating effect in korean police organization.
