Analysis of adsorption behavior of lead ion on to surface modified AlPO4 materials (표면처리된 AlPO4에 대한 납 이온의 흡착 거동 분석)

  • $AlPO_4$-type material was synthesized by a reaction of $Al(OH)_3$ and H3PO4 with organic templates from wastewater of detergent manufacturer. The surface of material was coated with carboxylate groups by the reaction of succinic anhydride with surface amino groups which were formed by treatment of the material with APTMS. Powder XRD patterns showed the characteristic patterns of $AlPO_4$. Morphology of the material was examined using a SEM and the functional groups were investigated by FT-IR analysis. The surface charge of a aqueous suspension was analyzed: $AlPO_4-NH_2$ has positively charged surface while $AlPO_4$-COOH has negatively charged one. They were used for the removal of toxic metals from aqueous solution. The lead ions were adsorbed on the surface by the formation of complexes with carboxylate of surface and $K_d$ was 91.1 mL/g. In conclusion, the $AlPO_4$-COOH might be applicable in the removal of toxic metal ions from aqueous system.

Annual Effective Dose of 210Po from Sea Food Origin (Oysters and Mussels) in Korea

  • Background: Ingestion of $^{210}Po$ laden seafood accounts for a substantial amount of the effective dose of $^{210}Po$. Among seafood items, mollusks, especially domestically produced oysters and mussels, are highly enriched in $^{210}Po$ and are consumed in large quantities in Korea. Materials and Methods: Oysters and mussels around the Korean coasts were collected from major farm areas in November 2013. Samples were spiked with an aliquot of $^{209}Po$ as a yield tracer, and they were digested with $6mol{\cdot}L^{-1}$ $HNO_3$ and $H_2O_2$. The $^{210}Po$ and $^{209}Po$ were spontaneously deposited onto a silver disc in an acidic solution of $0.5mol{\cdot}L^{-1}$ HCl and measured using an alpha spectrometer. The activity concentrations of $^{210}Pb$ and $^{210}Po$ were decay corrected to the sampling date, accounting for the possible in-growth and decay of $^{210}Po$. Results and Discussion: $^{210}Po$ activity concentrations in oysters were in a range from 41.3 to $206Bq{\cdot}(kg-ww)^{-1}$ and mussels in a range from 42.9 to $46.7Bq{\cdot}(kg-ww)^{-1}$. The $^{210}Po$ activity concentration of oysters in the turbid Western coast was higher than the Southern coast. The $^{210}Po$ activity concentration of the oysters was positively correlated ($R^2=0.89$) with those of the suspended particulate matter in the surface water. The calculated annual effective dose of $^{210}Po$ from oysters and mussels consumed by the Korean population was 21-104 and $5.01-5.46{\mu}Sv{\cdot}y^{-1}$. The combined effective dose due to the consumption of oysters and mussels appears to account for about $35{\pm}19%$ of that arising from seafood consumption in the Korean population. Conclusion: The annual effective dose of $^{210}Po$ for oysters in the Korean population was found to be higher than other countries. The total annual effective dose of $^{210}Po$ due to consumption of oysters and mussels consumed in Korea was found to be $76{\pm}42{\mu}Sv{\cdot}y^{-1}$, accounting for $28{\pm}16%$ of the total effective dose of $^{210}Po$ from food in Korea.

  • A method is described for the determination of the Po nuclides in a water sample. After the Po nuclides were purified from interfering elements in a water sample using a manganese dioxide precipitation followed by a solvent extraction method, the Po nuclides were deposited onto the silver plate. A large volume of the water sample was effectively pretreated with manganese dioxide precipitation method. To determine the optimum conditions for plating Po, the effects of the pH, volume, temperature and time on the Po deposition were investigated in hydrochloric acid solution. The investigated determination method of Po nuclides with solvent extraction was applied to a tap water sample.

  • K-Means 알고리즘은 구현이 쉽고, 패턴수가 n일 때 시간 복잡도가 O(n)인 장점을 가져 대용량 데이터에서 널리 이용된다. 그러나, K-Means 알고리즘은 초기 클러스터 중심을 어떻게 선정하는가에 따라 할당-재계산 횟수, 클러스터링 결과를 결정짓는다. 본 논문에서는 K-Means 알고리즘에서 클러스터 초기 중심 선정 연구를 살펴보고 계통임의추출법을 적용하여 K-Means 초기 중심 선정 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 대용량 데이터의 클러스터링 시간을 감소하고 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 해상 교통량 증가로 급증하는 선박 사고 위험을 줄이기 위해 안전 운항을 위한 대규모 선박 궤적 클러스터링을 제안한다. 선박의 위도와 경도, 이름 및 상태, 속도, 선수 방향 등이 기록된 대용량의 데이터집합을 바탕으로 선박 궤적 클러스터링을 통해 총 2개의 선박 대표 궤적을 추출한다. 해당 선박의 이전까지의 대표 궤적, 그리고 해당 해상의 모든 선박의 대표 궤적을 추출한 후 현재 해당 선박의 궤적패턴과 비교하여 유사하지 않으면 Outlier로 판별하여 이상 거동 및 불규칙 움직임, 충돌상황을 대비할 수 있도록 의사결정에 도움을 줄 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

  • The electrical conductivity of the system ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3-CoO$ was measured in the temperature range 200-1000$^{\circ}C$ and PO$_{2}$ range 10$^{-7}-2{\times}10^{-1}$ atm. Possible defect models were suggested on the basis of conductivity data, which were measured as a function of temperature and of oxygen partial pressure. The observed activation energies were 0.50 eV and 1.01 eV in the low- and high-temperature regions, respectively. The observed conductivity dependences on PO$_{2}$ were ${\sigma}\;{\alpha}\;PO_2^{-1/6}$ in the PO$_{2}$ range $10^{-7}-10^{-4}$ atm and ${\sigma}\;{\alpha}\;PO_2^{-1/4}$ at PO$_{2}$ 's of $10^{-4}-2{\times}10^{-1}$ atm at temperatures from 300-1000$^{\circ}C$. An extrinsic electron conduction due to an Vo defect and an intrinsic electron conduction due to an Fei' defect were suggested at different temperature and oxygen partial pressure regions, respectively.

The Study on Pharmacokinetics According to the Administration Route (흡수경로에 따른 약물동태학적 고찰)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to search for more effective administraion route of herbal medicine. Methods : Pharmacokinetic issues with the methods in experimental papers, which deal with finding the effectiveness of two or more administration routes of herbal medicine, searched from KERIS, KSI, KISTI and KTKP, have been analyzed by, first, categorizing the papers and comparing the validity of administration routes. Results and Conclusions : 1. Upon comparing in total of 24 papers on the basis of each administration route, per oral(PO)-herbal acupuncture(HA) was most superior in terms of number in that there were 13 cases and PO-per rectal(PR) was next superior in that there were 5 cases. PO-per dermal(PD)-inhalation therapy(IT), PO-IT and PO-PR-HA had 3, 2 and 1 cases respectively. 2. Out of the total 24 papers which compares different administration routes, 16 of them were pharmacokinetically appropriate, whereas, the remaining 8 were pharmacokinetically inappropriate. 3. Comparisons were made between PO-HA, PO-PR, PO-IT, PO-PD-IT and PO-PR-HA routes. However, none of them was not particularly effective regardless of the administered medicine or target organ. 4. No route was particularly effective against a particular drug target as a result of comparing damaged liver, asthma, endometriosis and anti-inflammation. 5. In the case of Injinhotang in medicine comparison, HA tended to be more associated with hepatotoxicity over PO. However, Cordyceps Militaris Mycelia, Gagamsohaphyangwon and Hongdeungtang showed no prominent effective administration route.

Effects of doping on the electrical conductivity and particle size in olivine type $LiFePO_4$ powders (올리빈형 $LiFePO_4$ 분말의 전기전도도와 입도 크기에 미치는 도핑의 영향)

  • To get a fine $LiFePO_4$ powder with high electrical conductivity, the influences of doping of aliovalent elements(Cr+B and Cr+Al) on electrical conductivity and of heat treatment conditions on particle size of the doped powders were studied. Two kinds of the doped powders $LiFe_{0.965}Cr_{0.03}B_{0.005}PO_4$ and $LiFe_{0.065}Cr_{0.03}Al_{0.005}PO_4$ were synthesized using mechanochemical milling and subsequent heat treatment at $675{\sim}750^{\circ}C$ for $5{\sim}10\;h$. The doping enhanced grain growth and electrical conductivity. The electrical conductivity at $30^{\circ}C$ was $1{\times}10^{-8}S/cm$ in the doped with Cr and Al, and $5{\times}10^{-10}S/cm$ in the undoped one.

  • $LiFePO_4$는 낮은 전기전도도로 인하여 전이금속의 도핑과 카본코팅으로 전기화학적 특성을 향상시키려는 연구가 많이 되어 왔다. 또한 다양한 합성법으로 $LiFePO_4$의 입자사이즈를 최적화 하기 위해 많은 연구가 진행중이다. 특히 고상 합성법은 결정의 미세화가 가능하고, 상온에서 쉽고 용이하게 원소간의 합금화 및 화학반응을 유도하는 등의 장점으로 인해 가장 널리 사용하고 있는 합성법중 하나이다. 이번 연구에서도 고상합성법을 사용하여 $LiFePO_4$를 합성했으며, 카본소스로서 카르복시산등의 유기산을 사용하여 코팅을 시도해 보았다. 이렇게 합성된 $LiFePO_4$의 물리적 측정을 통하여 입사의 형상 및 크기를 관찰하였고, 하프셀을 구성하여 전기화학적 특성을 확인하였다.

Electrochemical Properties of $LiFePO_4-LiCoO_2$ Cathode Materials in Lithium Secondary Batteries (리튬이차전지 정극활물질용 $LiFePO_4-LiCoO_2$의 전기화학적 특성)

  • In this work, the $LiFePO_4-LiCoO_2$ mixed cathode electrodes were prepared and their electrochemical performances were measured in different current density. The cell of $LiFePO_4-LiCoO_2$ observed two voltage plateau regions at 3.4 and 3.9V. The cell of $LiFePO_4-LiCoO_2$ (90:10 wt%) mixed cathode delivered a discharge capacity of ca. 139.8 mAh/g at a 0.2C rate. The capacity of the cell decreased with the current rate and a useful capacity of ca 85.7mAh/g was obtained at a 2C rate.
