북한의 신축 건축물 예측을 통한 통일 후 한반도 녹색건축물 관련 인증제도의 시장 분석 - 건축물에너지절약계획서, 건축물에너지효율등급 및 녹색건축인증을 중심으로 - (Market Analysis on Green Building Certification System of the United Korean Peninsula based on the New Building Prediction in North Korea - Focused on Building Energy Conservation Plan, Building Energy Rating Certification, and Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design (G-SEED) -)

  • This research aims to predict and analyze green building certification market of Korean Peninsula after unification. First, it analyzes prospected unification time period, then it forecasts number of new residential and non-residential buildings to be constructed based on estimated number of residences in short at the time in North Korea. There exists a good chance that North Korea's new building market forms similar to that of South Korea, as unification would thoroughly proceed which would result levels of economic culture social politics in quasi-equal state. Thus, assuming the ratio of residential and non-residential building against population is similar in both Korea's, the number against North Korea's house supplied population can be estimated. Based on the expected numbers in North Korea, number of proceeded Building Energy Conservation Plan, Building Energy Rating Certification, and Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design (G-SEED) are predicted. The research shows certification market related to green building in united Korean Peninsula to be \660 billion over 10 years. Not only certifications to newly built buildings but also including existing buildings, this market is to grow to a considerable extent. As this would largely influence eco-constructive materials, energy plant/equipment, and other relevant markets as well, it would require to make thorough preparations. In sum, to stabilize green building market even before the unification, the research proposes the necessities of appropriate systems in consideration of North Korea, through in-depth discussions and establishment of technology and policy directions in green building sector, such as building energy management and emission reduction technology.

Rapid and Specific Detection of Apple stem grooving virus by Reverse Transcription-recombinase Polymerase Amplification

  • Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) is considered to cause the most economically important viral disease in pears in Korea. The current PCR-based methods used to diagnose ASGV are time-consuming in terms of target detection. In this study, a novel assay for specific ASGV detection that is based on reverse transcription-recombinase polymerase amplification is described. This assay has been shown to be reproducible and able to detect as little as $4.7ng/{\mu}l$ of purified RNA obtained from an ASGV-infected plant. The major advantage of this assay is that the reaction for the target virus is completed in 1 min, and amplification only requires an incubation temperature of $42^{\circ}C$. This assay is a promising alternative method for pear breeding programs or virus-free certification laboratories.

  • B2B(Business to Customer)로 시작되어온 전자상거래가 B2B로 대체되면서 e-Business영역에서 빠른 속도로 성장하고 있다. 최근 국내에서는 대기업을 중심으로 자체 구매조달 시스템을 자사 ERP와 연계하여 1:n개념의 e-Procurement가 발전되고 있다. 그러나 플랜트 산업의 e-Biz의 활성화를 위하여서는 동시에 많은 구매자와 판매자가 활동할 수 있는 e-marketplace의 구축이 확장된 기업개념으로 비즈니스의 성공을 위한 핵심요인이 되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 플랜트 산업의 e-Biz화의 핵심 요소인 구매 Process System 및 관련 Module을 개발함으로써 플랜트 산업의 e-Transformation전략의 기틀을 마련하고 기업의 전자상거래의 시범적인 사례가 될 것으로 기대한다. 구매 Process System은 견적요청서를 중심으로 입찰정보와 계약정보를 관리하는 e-Purchasing Module, 납기준수를 위한 정보활동 내역을 관리하는 e-Expediting Module, 사용자인증 권한 제어 정보를 관리하는 e-Certification Module, 게시판과 Q&A 등을 관리하는 e-Basic Module로 구성된다.

건설공학 교육분야 중등임용시험 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reformation of the Teacher Certification Examination in the field of Construction Engineering Education)

  • 기술선진화로 인하여 해외의 여러 나라에 각종 플랜트, 건물 등을 수주하고 세계의 주목을 받으며 국가경쟁력을 갖추고 있는 우리나라 건설 분야에 종사하게 될 건설기능인의 양성과 함께 그들의 교육을 담당할 건설교사의 양성 및 선발은 중요한 과제이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건설교사를 선발하는 데에 큰 영향을 미치고 건설교사 양성 교육방향에 기준이 될 수 있는 임용시험을 분석하여, 우수한 자질을 갖춘 건설교사 선발을 위한 임용제도 개선에 관련된 유용한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 기출된 건설과목 임용시험 문항분석을 토대로 출제방향에 대한 실제적 문제제기를 하고, 건설 임용시험 제도에 대한 학생, 현직교사, 교수들의 의견 및 관련문헌을 분석하여 다음과 같이 개선방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 교원양성기관에서 교과교육학의 학문적 연구 개발과 함께 2~4단위를 확대 편성하는 교과과정을 운영하기를 바란다. 둘째, 건설교과는 건축 토목과목 두 교과를 통합하여 구성되었으므로, 교원양성기관에서는 두 교과의 통합된 기준의 과정 추증이 필요하며, 임용시험 출제기관에서는 필기시험 출제비율(%)을 검토하여 출제기준을 제공할 것이 요구된다. 셋째, 건설교원으로서 지도해야 하는 실기능력 측정을 위한 방안으로, 필기시험 점수를 수행평가의 일환으로 활용하는 방안(Pass or Fail) 및 수업실연 내용을 실습과목의 실기영역에서 평가하는 방안 검토가 요구된다. 마지막으로, 실험실습이 많은 건설과목의 특성상 교수효과를 고려하여 선발인원을 늘린다면 적체되어 있는 수험자들의 해소방안에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.

Starch Properties of Chinese Yam, Dioscorea opposita Thunb.

  • The starch properties of two chinese yams were evaluated in this study. Amylose content ranged 13.5% to 19.3%. The swelling power of starches varied 10.98% to 11.43%. Water binding capacity in chinese yam starches ranged 93.46% to 107.21%, high WBC was observed in Ma 1. The onset temperature (To) of two chinese yam starches ranged 62.9 to $75.0^{\circ}C$, peak temperature (Tp) ranged 76.2 to $84.7^{\circ}C$. The PHI(peak height index) was about 4-fold higher in Anwon cultivar than in Ma 1 cultivar. SEM revealed that starches has a presence of large oval or spherical to small irregular-shape granules. Starch granule size ranged 15.23 to 15.52 ${\mu}m$, showing a typical C-type X-ray pattern.

지속가능한 산림바이오매스 정책개발을 위한 영국사례 연구 (UK Case Study for Sustainable Forest Biomass Policy Development of South Korea)

  • This study investigated the reference case in the UK where legality and sustainability were systematically established for forest biomass represented by wood pellets. The UK is the country that best utilizes the trade value of wood pellets based on sustainability, with bioenergy accounting for 31% of total renewable energy production. The UK imported wood pellet, estimated 8,697 thousand tons in 2019. The UK government has continuously improved the renewable generation policy system to ensure the sustainability of wood pellets. The weighted average greenhouse gas emissions of a UK biomass power plant that received a Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) in 2018-19 was 26.71 gCO2e/MJ. These power plants are expected to meet the upper limit of 72.2 gCO2e/MJ by 2025. To issue an ROC, the biomass power plant must demonstrate that 70% of its total biofuel usage is sustainable. The UK uses the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) certification system, which is gradually expanding to other European countries, to prove the sustainability of biomass energy fuels. Global wood pellet production with SBP certification in 2019 was 10.5 Mt. This trend has significant implications for introducing additional sustainability into the wood pellet policy of South Korea.

화력발전소 보일러 수퍼히트부 안전발판 개발 연구 (A Development of Platforms for Boiler of Thermal Power Plant)

  • The catastrophic collapse of the in-boiler scaffolding system in the two thermal power plants occurred in March and April 2012. After site investigation and document review, it was found that the specialized scaffolding system was imported for overhaul & maintenance and that the system did not get the safety certification at the import. In this regard, this study developed & proposed an access platform and a support for the vertical tube section of the super heat as well as a variable-length platform for the horizontal tube section, satisfying the domestic certification standards. The access platform was developed to be easy to handle by the worker with a weight of about 0.069 kN, which could reduce the risk of falling accidents and workers' musculoskeletal diseases. For the variable-length platform, it is possible to cope with various changes in length between the horizontal tubes associated with the increase of rigidity in the overlapping and the elimination of the protrusion.

  • We at Mitsubishi have lined up Gen-III+ solutions for a wide variety of global customers: ATMEA1 of the 1100MWe class, and an APWR with the largest capacity of 1700MWe. In this paper, we would like to introduce the APWR. With an increased requirement for nuclear power generation as an effective countermeasure against global warming, we have established the APWR plant, a large-capacity Mitsubishi standard reactor combining our accumulated experience and technology as an integrated PWR plant supplier. The APWR plant has achieved high reliability, safety and enhanced economy based on a technology that has been developed with the support of the government and utilities through improvement and standardization programs of light water reactors. Currently, Tsuruga Units 3 and 4, the first two APWRs, are undergoing licensing, while we are making efforts to obtain the standard design certification (DC) of US-APWR and preparing for the European Utility Requirements (EUR) compliance assessment of EU-APWR. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) positions the APWR as a core technology that will contribute to the prevention of global warming and meet worldwide requirements.

원자력발전소 변압기 연결 선로 결상 검출 시스템 (Open-Phase Condition Detecting System for Transformer Connected Power Line in Nuclear Power Plant)

  • On January 30, 2012 an auxiliary component of Byron Unit 2 was tripped on bus under voltage. The cause of the event was the failure of the C-phase insulator track for the Unit 2 station auxiliary transformer(SAT) revenue metering transformer. In addition to this event, other events have occurred at other plants resulting in an open-phase condition.[1] Therefore, Nuclear Regulatory Commission(NRC) has requested that not only nuclear power plant(NPP) operating company but also its Design Certification(DC) applicant have to prepare open-phase detecting system in their operating plants and design document. In this paper, various open-phase conditions are simulated in NPP using Electromagnetic Transient Program(EMTP) and Atpdraw, and open-phase condition detecting system is proposed for Main Transformer(MT), Unit Auxiliary Transformer(UAT) and SAT connected power line in NPP.

The worldwide trend of using botanical drugs and strategies for developing global drugs

  • Natural product drugs, or botanical drugs, are drugs composed of natural substances which have constituents with healthenhancing or medicinal activities. In Korea, government-led projects brought attention to botanical drugs invigorating domestic botanical drug industry. Foreign markets, as well, are growing bigger as the significance of botanical drugs stood out. To follow along with the tendency, Korea puts a lot of effort on developing botanical drugs suitable for global market. However, standards for approving drug sales vary by countries. And also, thorough standardization, certification, clinical studies and data of these will be required as well as data confirming safety and effectiveness. Meanwhile, as an international exchange in botanical drug market continues, the importance of plant resources was emphasized. Thus countries' ownership of domestic natural resources became vital. Not only establishing a systematic method to secure domestic plant resources, but also cooperation with other countries on sharing natural resources is essential to procure natural resources effectively. Korea started to show visible results with botanical drugs, and asthma/COPD treatment made out of speedwell is one example. Sufficient investment and government's active support for basic infrastructure for global botanical drugs will bring Korea to much higher level of botanical drug development.
