The importance key to overcome crisis in rural society is to utilize multivaluedness of rurality. In order to comprehend and utilize a variety of multivaluedness of rurality, firstly it should be needed to investigate and analyze the rural resource. secondly it should be needed to make a plan reflected re-evaleted rural resources. This study aimed at setting up the analysis of all villages in Yeongdong-Gun, Chungcheongbuk-Do by 5 rural village types(Basic life-supporting, Agricultural promotion, Marketing/processing oriented, Urban-rural communication, Life-style choice types) differed in score of classified indicators. These results are expected to be helpful to make a rural development plan reflected villages' characteristics based on rural resources.
As construction project is becoming larger, construction progress and works are more various and complex according to recent Korean construction tendency. The growth of construction induces much pollution on the progress of construction and the problems due to the construction pollution are raised into social problem strongly, because it is increasing the need on the quality of lift and the desire of clean environment. This study aimed to seek far the effective solving plan of the construction popular complaints by surveying the real condition of construction popular complaints and analyzing the cause and tansaction period of popular complaints. For this study, the laws related and popular complaints were analysed focusing on the documents in low district offices of Gwangju from 2000 to 2004. As a result, the types of construction popular complaints were divided into 17 and the causes were as follows in order: crack and subsidence of ground(14.90%), infringement of private life(11.55%), noise(10.80%), infringement of a right to sunshine(10.07%) and breakdown(6.7%). Consequently, it is considered that these complaints are occurred by physical and environmental causes.

Purpose: This study analyzed the architectural planning factors of the ward in infectious disease hospitals, such as functional unit planning, ward configurations, spatial compositions & circulation, and detailed architectural planning. Through these, the facility guidelines of infectious disease hospitals are summarized, focusing on the differences from the wards of non-infectious hospitals. Methods: This study was conducted by literature review of research reports, papers, design cases, and guidelines, based on the experiences of field surveys for infectious disease hospitals. Results: The result of this study can be summarized into a few points. 1) Infectious disease hospitals need to establish an operation plan with the concept of continuity of care, as an extension of existing facilities. 2) The types of ward configuration for infectious disease hospitals has many variables, so an appropriate type should be selected according to the hospital's operating policy. 3) Various spatial composition types of the ward can be planned by the arrangement of traffic cores and areas of patient groups. At this time, the main planning considerations are safety, efficiency, and comfort. 4) As elements of the detailed plan, It is necessary to consider the types & dimensions of patient rooms, the relationships between nursing stations & sub-stations, and supplementations of medical support functions & convenience facilities. Implications: Since there are many differences in function from the ward of non-infectious hospitals, appropriate facility guidelines for infectious disease hospital are required.

Purpose: This study aimed to present an analysis model evaluating evacuation performance considering patient types and procedural evacuation in the medical facility. The user group of the medical facility, including users challenged in evacuation behavior, entails the risk of many casualties. Therefore, it is necessary to plan an evacuation procedure that considers the evacuation characteristics of users. Methods: Through the review of precedent studies, the evacuation procedure of the medical facility, the classification of patient types, and the evacuation procedure was set as conditions and variables for the analysis. The result caused by a variety of conditions and variables were explored. Results: 1) The total evacuation completion time and congestion time were shortened at the procedural evacuation. Moreover, it derived many users from evacuating at the initial phase. 2) The proposed model can provide a basis for proposing a space planning direction that considers the possibility of not carrying out the evacuation plan. 3) It supports safe evacuation by identifying variables that reduce overcrowding by comparing the congestion time of overcrowded spaces. 4) The analysis model can identify the overcrowded space through the evacuation route and suggest the basis for architectural improvements that reduce overcrowding. Implications: The study results can be used to analyze the performance of evacuation procedures and support the establishment of evacuation procedures and building plans for safe evacuation for medical facilities.
To analyze the space features of small-sized detached houses, this study has compared the floor plan types of detached houses and apartments. Currently small-sized detached houses are popular in Korea. The comparative analysis was focused on common residential patterns and the apartment plan. The results of space syntax were summarized as follows: four types of apartments and twelve types of small-sized detached houses were deduced by the relative spatial depth analysis. Among the sixty-seven house samples, only two of them showed the same pattern as those of apartments, which showed that each room of detached houses had distinct difference with those of apartments. According to the integration and control analysis, each space of apartments showed difference within narrow range, while the space of detached housed showed difference within wide range. In addition, the detached houses showed distinct relations between the center of space and the surroundings, and there are distinct differences between the easier layouts for access rooms and difficult ones. Moreover, the living rooms of detached houses somewhat exist under the low integration condition, and they cannot be standardized in the center of house, which are different with those of apartments. The master bedrooms of detached houses exit at the surrounding space same as those of apartments. Nevertheless the toilet is in the master bedroom which made its control lower than those of apartments.

The purpose of this study is to form a night-view at a university to satisfy users through case studies of four representative university campuses with analyzing the lighting conditions and facility satisfaction. The result of this study is following. From the present lighting status, there are 664(l9types) lightings at Kyunghee University, 350(17types) at Sungkyunkwan University and 437(l9types) at Ajou University. Main materials of the lightings are metal, iron and stainless. Moreover, most illuminants are white-colored metal-halide lamp. There is no specially designed lighting facility because ready-made goods were used. Furthermore, the locations of lightings are not suitable so some are useless. Most main spatial illuminations are not satisfying outdoor standard, so it can be concluded that the designs of present campuses are not carrying on with-out plans. From the result, present campus lighting does not satisfy the desire of users in aesthetic and functional point of view but consider the luminosity. However, even though the luminosity does not standardize the law. It is because the design does not reflect a suitable standard with desire of users and it does not have a long term plan. Moreover, the campus design has no study about development plan even though it has enough green area which has a potential possibility to overcome the lack of green areas in a city. Therefore, it is needed to design a comprehensive campus plan which satisfies the desire of students and residents with considering promotion of excitement and harmony through adjusting luminosity of the lighting facilities and supplying various lighting resources.

This study was conducted to examine the feasibility of preparing a durability evaluation plan in watertightness for sealant applied to a PC structure. To this end, 5 types of sealant that equally satisfy the quality standards of the relevant KS standard were selected and tested. Through this testing, it was found that 3 of the 5 types of sealant showed deterioration in watertightness and durability, such as falling off and cracking from the substrate. For the remaining two types, a visual observation showed no significant changes, but additional analysis, confirmed that there was a large difference in the stress reduction rate of the material. Therefore, based on the above results, the need for a performance review in durability between sealant was confirmed, and based on this, the validity of the durability evaluation plan that can be used in product selection was quantitatively confirmed.
Even though there have been greate changes in the types and contents of the housing plan in Korea since the Modem age, it seems that the identity of traditional dwelling culture is still remains within it. The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and features in the development of the 'Public Standard' Housing Unit Plan by comparing the differences and similarities in unit plans in housings built on Japanese occupation period and those built after the period. From the study, we can conclude as follows: 1. The public standard housing unit plans on both periods have shown the common features in the composition of their physical forms in the way that the front-row area still remains the traditional housing culture and the rear-row area reflects the desires of the modem lives. The structure of the dual-row unit plan appeared in the public standard housing plan was caused by the cultural acculturation in Japanese occupation period. 2. The public standard housing unit plans, however, show the differences in the contents and meaning in units plans with the them of the Japanese housing because of the cultural differences. These differences took placed autonomously through the change of housing plans in the modern time, and have the common features such that 1) the changes in the Maru-centered plan type differ in composition from the inner-corridor plan type used Japanese housing, and 2) the composition of the open-inner spaces in the double-row housing plan reflects the single-row outer open space In the traditional housing. All of these cultural progresses in the public standard housing unit plans was took place as the result of the inner-oriented and notional circulations derived from the modernity. However, the transformed unit plans still contains the identity derived from the variation of the traditional Korean building elements such as Maru and Ondol. In other words, those are the Maru-centered and composed housing plans with juxtaposition of the inner block and the outer block. As the conclusion, though the public standard dwelling unit plan has the similarity in the physical form, it is different in the cultural Identity and meaning from the public standard plans before the independence from the Japan occupation.
This study was carried out to understand the spatial distribution and conservation, restoration plan for vegetation in the Hwaeom wetland protected area. Total 29 phytosociological releves consisted of 117 plant species (unidentified species contained) was made during field studies conducted at 2008 and 2013 applying Braun-Branquet method. The collected vegetations were arranged 8 plant communities and thus divided hydric types (Drosera rotundifolia-Eleocharis congesta community, Carex forficula-Molinia japonica community) and xeric types (Miscanthus sinensis community, Rhododendron yedoense var. poukhanense community, Tripterygium regelii community, Carex gifuensis-Quercus mongolica community) under moisture conditions. The hydric types growing in hydric conditions distributed along hollowed out ground or the water channel that have a key qualification to protect. In the wetland protected area, the hydric vegetation types were mostly covered about 3.8% and the xeric types dominating by Miscanthus sinensis were most wildly distributed about 51.5%. Various woody plant species invaded the place. In 2008, invasion plants observed with total 14 species - 8 tree species (227 individual), 6 shrub species (51 individual) and alders (Aluns japonica) found in 2013. We suggested finding out that the sustainable conservation and management in Hwaeom wetland should be setting up plan focused on activity and variability such as continuous monitoring (changing vegetation types, spatial distribution, invasion plants) and zonation management (core zone, buffer zone, transition zone).
This study is mainly intended to understand on the plan change of a public room in the apartment. This study is summarized as follows; First how the plane type of an apartment public room in the Capital region has been changed since 1970's in which industrialization has seriously started. Second according to the adjoining types how the features of an apartment plan would be divided into some categories. Third how usable area and public area in an apartment has been changed, The scop of this study is limited to the national standard houses of which usable area is 40-85m2(12.1-25.7pyong) built in Seoul and five new cities from 1970's to the half of 1990's The study is based on documents of 1378 samples extracted classified and analysed the plan in the chronical order. The analysis scope is confined to family's public rooms in an apartment such as a living room a dining room and a kitchen. In conclusion the public rooms such as a living room a dining room, and a kitchen become stereotyped with no specific difference in Korean apartments. Especially LDK type, L/DK type is the most general plan in Korean apartments, and the demand of that type is continuously increasing lately.
