This study intends to focus on feasible measures to take advantage of pilgrimage to inspire adherents of The Fellowship of Daesoonjinri with the ideology of Daesoon and to overhaul existing missionary work. This study addresses preceding researches with regard to pilgrimage as theoretical grounds to review what pilgrimage has been meant to be. Also, this study conducts the survey on the motif and preference of pilgrimage that are expected to affect pilgrim behaviors, and it includes the satisfaction with the pilgrimage as a parametric effect. The survey and analysis results say that the motif and preference of the pilgrimage are the leading variables that significantly correlate to the pilgrimage satisfaction. In addition, the pilgrimage satisfaction is not only a key factor that affects pilgrim behaviors but a parametric effect that strongly relates to the motif and preference of the pilgrimage. Conducted based on empirical analysis, this study offers a diversity of approaches to tourism program development with respect to pilgrimage: customized pilgrimage programs, unique storytelling about the holy places, content development with a range of topics and difficult levels, and evaluation and feedback systems for pilgrimage programs

This paper provides the meaning of sacred places and pilgrimages in Daesoonjinrihoe, the most representative of the new religions in Korea. Daesoonjinrihoe stipulates Dojang(道場, it means temple complex) as the sacred places, which presently functions as the center of their religious faith. Also, The Daesoonjinrihoe devotees worship 15 deities at a sacred place, Yeongdae(靈臺). By seeing meanings of sacred places and pilgrimage in Daesoonjinrihoe, This article focuses on the process of the sacrificial rite of Daesoonjinrihoe related to the importance of religious ritual or place of faith and sacred places as pilgrimage sites. At this time, I explain the properties of sacrificial rite of it. The sacrificial rite of Daesoonjinrihoe, one of its major rites, is performed at both regular and irregular intervals. It is performed by either an individual or a group at a fixed time and place. The study of sacred places should focus not only artificial structures such as buildings but also the meanings given to them and the mechanism that created these meanings. Pilgrimage is journey undertaken by person who consider their destination sacred. By seeing meaning of pilgrimage, this paper focus on Daesoonjinrihoe' role in making a place pilgrimage sites and pilgrimage functions. The reason I focus on sacred places and pilgrimage in Daesoonjinrihoe is that these sacred places reflect people's attempt to invent religious memory and identity. Thus, I elucidate the role that Daesoonjinrihoe's sacred places and pilgrimage plays in remembering religious memory. I examine the messages that Daesoonjinrihoe's sacred places intend to convey to the followers through the created sacred places and pilgrimage. Sacred places are significant because it reflect important symbolic features of religion. Sacred places and pilgrimage are vehicles for remembering the religious memory and reinforcing various memories. Finally, Handing down of our valuable Daesoonjinrihoe's cultural heritage is our duty. So it is necessary to make an effort to conserve Daesoonjinrihoe's cultural heritage such as sacred places and concentration upon our interest continuously.

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a profound impact on large-scale gatherings throughout the world. Social distancing has become one of the most common measures to restrict the spread of the novel Coronavirus. Islamic pilgrimage attracts millions of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia annually. One of the mandatory rituals of pilgrimage is the symbolic stoning of the devil. Every pilgrim is required to perform this ritual within a specified time on three days of pilgrimage. This ritual is prone to congestion due to strict spatiotemporal requirements. We propose a pedestrian simulation model for implementing social distancing in the stoning ritual. An agent-based simulation is designed to analyze the impact of inter-queue and intra-queue spacing between adjacent pilgrims on the throughput and congestion during the stoning ritual. After analyzing several combinations of intra-queue and inter-queue spacings, we conclude that 25 queues with 1.5 meters of intra-queue spacing result in an optimal combination of throughput and congestion. The Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia may benefit from these findings to manage and plan pilgrimage more effectively.

매체를 기반으로 하는 모든 이야기 형식이 그렇듯이 TV휴먼다큐멘터리의 서사 방식 역시 방송환경의 변화와 밀접한 연관성을 가지고 있다. 2017년 세계 최초로 지상파 UHD 방송이 우리나라에서 시작되었고 그 해 9월 KBS는 UHD특집 휴먼다큐멘터리 <순례>시리즈를 방송했다. 초고화질 비디오와 몰입형 오디오 구현이가능한 UHD로 제작된 <순례>는 기존의 TV휴먼다큐멘터리와는 전혀 다른 서사 방식을 보여주었다. TV휴먼 다큐멘터리에서 필수요소로 여겨지던 전지적 내레이션 대신 등장인물의 절제된 1인칭 내레이션을 사용하는 한편 다양한 구도 구현이 가능한 드론을 적극 활용해 등장인물의 심리를 섬세하게 표현, 시청자의 몰입을 가능하게 했다. 또한 TV휴먼다큐멘터리에서는 시도되지 않았던 편집방식인 몽타쥬 편집기법을 통해 내레이션으로 '설명하지' 않고 영상으로 '보여주는' 방식의 서사 전개 방식을 활용하고 있다. <순례-집으로 가는 길> 이후에 이와 유사한 서사 방식의 다큐멘터리가 다수 방송되며 UHD방송환경 아래에서 TV휴먼다큐멘터리의 흐름과 방향이 달라지고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

대순진리회의 성지순례는 대순사상을 체험하고 대순사상을 고취할 수 있는 매개체로서 의미가 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 대순진리회의 성지순례 참여동기가 성지순례 만족도와 재참여 의사에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고, 대순사상 고취와 성지순례 활성화 방안 제시하는 것이다. 분석방법은 성지순례 관련 요인 간 관계에 기초분석과 성지순례가치의 조절효과 분석을 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 학습적 동기가 성지순례 만족도와 재참여 의사에 중요한 영향을 미치는 요인임을 발견하였다. 또한, 종교적 가치의 조절효과 분석 결과 성지의 종교적 가치가 성지순례 참여 동기와 만족도 간에 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 향후 성지순례 활성화를 위한 실천방안으로 성지순례가 대순사상 고취와 신앙성숙을 위한 또 다른 배움과 교류의 장으로 제시될 필요가 있으며, 수도인들이 성지의 가치에 대한 인식 향상을 위한 노력이 필요함을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 이머시브 공연 <안산순례길>을 장소성과 상호작용성 중심으로 분석하였다. 장소성에서는 세월호 희생자의 생활공간과 거리를 걸으며 답습했다는 점, 이를 통해 참여자가 공연의 주인공이 되도록 전이체험을 유도했다는 점을 분석하였다. 상호작용성에서는 참여자가 다양한 참여 형식을 수행할 수 있게 하였고, 이를 통해 부채의식을 덜거나 치유효과를 발휘했다는 점을 분석하였다. 또한 세월호 이야기보다 도시 안산에 집중하여 연대와 공감을 추구했다는 점도 확인하였다. 이를 통해 <안산순례길>은 사회적으로 순기능이 많고 예술 형식이 다채로우며 다른 이머시브 공연들과도 차별성이 있어 지속적인 개최 및 후속 연구를 고려할 필요가 있음을 살펴보았다.

This study was based on the results of the study of 'Cheonyeon and Chunghyun Taste Alley Pilgrimage- Introducing Hidden Restaurants in Our Town', which was adopted as a project to revitalize urban regeneration as part of the Cheonyeon and Chunghyun Urban Regeneration New Deal project. This study was conducted in total of two stages, as a first step, the commercial district of Seodaemun Station was analyzed by analyzing the hashtag (#) mentioned along with the "Seodamun Station Restaurant" on Instagram from 2015 to 2020. As a result of the analysis, it was found to be an office commercial district related to "office workers", and it was found to be a commercial district with the characteristics of "small but certain happiness" where you can find hidden restaurants in front of your house. Based on the characteristics of these commercial districts, five stores utilizing the characteristics of the region were selected and cooking classes were conducted for students of Kyonggi University, who are local residents. The purpose of this study was to revitalize the aging Seoul city and contribute to the formation of positive relationships between local residents and merchants through cooking classes. In addition, the process was produced as digital media content and used as local promotional materials.

순례는 거의 모든 주요 종교에서 나타나는 현상으로서 전통적으로 외적으로는 성스러운 장소로, 내적으로는 정신적인 목적과 내적 이해를 위한 종교적 여행으로 정의되어왔다. 하지만 오늘날 순례와 종교 관습 간의 관계는 추상적 차원의 거의 모든 종류의 여행, 심지어는 연차휴가와 같이 정기적으로 반복되는 여행으로까지 확대되고 있다. 다시 말해, 현대의 순례자들은 많은 다양한 이유로 여행을 시작하므로, 순례는 사실상 역사적인 성소에 신앙을 목적으로 한 방문으로 그 의미를 제한할 수 없게 되었다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 순례를 관광의 일부로 간주하려는 시각이 문화콘텐츠나 관광을 중심으로 한 다양한 실용학문 분야에서 대두하고 있다. 순례를 종교적 제의로서가 아니라 종교관광으로 분류하려는 시도가 빈번한데, 그것은 산업적 측면에서도 매력적인 시장이기 때문이다. 순례를 경제적 가치의 측면에서 바라보려는 시각은 결과적으로 종교를 세속주의(secularism)의 조류 속에 포함하는 행위이며 한국에서 걷기 열풍을 타고 유행처럼 번져가는 '길'의 경험과 순례를 동일 선상에 놓음으로써 순례길의 경험이 던져주는 종교성(religiosity)을 포함한 고귀한 인간 정신은 자칫 길을 잃을 위험에 처하게 되었다. 이런 관점에서 본 논문은 순례의 내적 의미를 추구하고 변화와 개인적 성장을 희망하는 모든 사람을 위한 정신의 이동 통로이어야 한다는 전제하에 대순진리회의 지고신인 강증산의 순례길 개발을 제언하고자 한다. 증산 순례길은 단순히 장소의 성스러움을 만나기 위한 여행으로, 그리고 종교적 기억과 회상의 공간으로만 한정할 수 없다. 이를 위해서는 성지의 개념을 새롭게 정의하거나 분류할 필요가 있다.

매체를 기반으로 하는 모든 이야기 형식이 그렇듯이 TV휴먼다큐멘터리의 서사방식 역시 방송환경에 따라 변화해왔다. 초고화질 비디오와 몰입형 오디오 구현이 가능한 UHD로 제작된 <순례-집으로 가는 길>은 등장인물의 1인칭 내레이션과 몽타쥬 편집 기법, 드론을 활용한 다양한 구도를 통해 등장인물의 심리를 섬세하게 표현, 시청자의 몰입을 가능하게 했다. <순례>의 이러한 시도 이후 이와 유사한 서사방식의 다큐멘터리가 방송되며 UHD방송환경 아래 TV다큐멘터리의 흐름과 방향이 달라지고 있다.
