The purpose of this study is to explore effective and practical career plans reflecting demand of the field, in regard to education for university students who major in physical education, as the importance and necessity of career education at a university level are increasing. Systematic literature review (PRISMA) methodology was used for this study. From 38 pieces of literature that were finally selected for this study, research results were put together from three perspectives as follows: 1. 'Factors Related to Students' Decision-Making for Career' which should be considered in career education for physical education majors; 2. Problems of Career Education in the Physical Education Curriculum, and; 3. Improvement Plans. First, it was found that students' decision-making for career is affected by individuals' personal internal factors (i.e., satisfaction with major, self-efficacy, and career barrier) and external factors (i.e., counselling history on career paths, career conditions, and the status of related jobs). Second, the state of career education for physical education majors was found to be insufficient in terms of a lack of career education in the curriculum, a lack of support from major professors, and a lack of support for field experience. Third, improvement plans were suggested from the following perspectives: development of systematic career education curriculum (i.e., fostering leadership, reorganization of curriculum focused on career specialty, and operation of systematic curriculum); provision of an adequate environment for career education (i.e., establishment of infrastructure that links the university to society and collection of information on career paths for physical education majors). Moreover, the necessity to develop career education curriculum in connection with demand of students regarding career, the lack of systematic information on career paths of physical education majors, and the lack of researches on career education for physical education majors were discussed in this study.
This study examined students' nutritional knowledge on fat, the quantity of fat in food, and their dietary practices with regard to fat. The subjects were junior & senior students majoring in food and nutrition(n=188), Korean Oriental medicine(n=236), and physical education(n=13), respectively. The score for nutritional knowledge of fat was $8.48{\pm}0.15$ for food & nutrition majors, $6.73{\pm}0.14$ for Korean Oriental majors, and $4.97{\pm}0.72$ for physical education majors, with significant differences between groups(p<0.0l). The correct answer percentages were 65%, 52%, and 38% respectively, out of a total 13 items, and significant differences were observed between the majors. The score for knowledge on the quantity of fat in food was $5.40{\pm}01.3$ for food & nutrition majors, $5.40{\pm}0.10$ for Korean Oriental medicine majors, and $4.53{\pm}0.15$ for physical education majors, with significant differences between the groups. The correct answer percentages were 60%, 60%, and 50% respectively. The number of correct answers was significantly different in 7 out of a total of 9 food items depending on major. For dietary practices regarding fat there were significant differences in 10 out of a total of 12 items depending on major. The total scores were $34.02{\pm}0.45$, $33.04{\pm}0.44$, and $31.19{\pm}0.72$, respectively, showing no significant differences between the groups. Regarding the scores on nutritional knowledge about fat, the students majoring in food & nutrition received the highest scores, and on knowledge about the quantity of fat in food, students majoring in food & nutrition and Korean Oriental medicine attained higher scares than the students majoring in physical education. However, there were no significant differences between the groups regarding their dietary practices toward fat.
This study was conducted under the premise that the university library's subject specialization room is in need of major modifications in order to accommodate the needs of various majors. The subject specialization room will be able to support university library users who are inclined to use the general reading room. Therefore, the study presents spatial planning for the average university library's subject specialization room by taking into account student majors. This could be a guideline for the construction and renovation of university libraries in the future. The summary of results for this study and the conclusions are as follows: 1)Natural sciences subject specialization room should be, partially connected with the humanities/social science subject specialization room in order to provide an open-concept reference room. In the shared area connecting the two subject specialization rooms needs to be installed a staff counter and subject specialist librarian service booth for users of both subject specialization rooms. 2)For humanities/social sciences subject specialization room, partially connect with the natural sciences subject specialization room. In the connecting area between the two rooms, plan an open-concept lounge for resting and reading. 3)It is best to plan subject specialization room for art/music/physical education majors separate from the subject specification room of other majors. Structurally separate art/music/physical education major subject specialization rooms from the building or plan a separate room in an art/music/physical education building. Users of art/music/physical education majors showed a high preference for a spatially separated and specialized library structure, which proves that an art/music/physical education library need to be planed based on the specialized library structure found in law school libraries or medical school libraries. Plan the center of the room with open-concept based reading room. Use wall-sides, partitions, or shelves to create reading space separate from the shelving area.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the differences in the characteristics of anger expression, positive thinking, gratitude, and trait anger, and factors affecting trait anger in college majors. Methods: The participants were 339 college students and recruited from two universities in P and D cities. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. This research was conducted to understand and analyze the physical awareness symptoms of college students and get fundamental research data essential to provide efficient student guidance and public health service at schools. The survey was carried out for 1 month from May 7th, 2001 to June 7th, 2001. The interviewees were 950 enrolled students at junior colleges in Daegu. 26.5% of them were men and 73.5% women. Among the surveyed, public health majors were 76.9%. Daytime students were 64.1 %, and the majority of the students, 42.8%, were atheistic. 56.0% of the students grew up in big cities, 22.2% in medium and small-sized cities, and 21.8% in farming and fishing communities. 66.1 % used public transportation. The majority of the students, 48.7%, answered that the satisfaction level for their majors was average. The result shows that the ocular fatigue was indicated as a greatest complaint, and the female students showed the higher complaint rate than the males. In the study of the complaining rate of physical symptoms by major, the public health majors showed the highest complaining rate in gasping when going up/down stairs, shoulder pain, a burning feeling on empty stomach, and leg/knee pain. On the other hand, the highest complaint factors for the technical majors were ocular fatigue and the feelings of heavy head. In the study of the complaining rate of physical symptoms by transportation, gasping during going up/down stairs and shoulder pain were most common, which were 52.2% and 36.0% respectively. In the study of the insecurity response distribution by transportation, college students who drive a car showed 3.8% and students using public transportation 3.7%. In the study of the insecurity response by subject satisfaction, students who answered dissatisfactory were 8.3%, average 3.9%, satisfied 3.0%. Therefore, it was concluded that students who were dissatisfied with their subjects showed the higher rate of insecurity response. it can be recommended that a school health education program regarding ocular fatigue and shoulder pain should be developed.

We introduce an introductory engineering education course for engineering majors and non-engineering majors. This course does not require any previous knowledge and experience on engineering. It requires strong curiosities and imaginations on current and future society we live in, where technology is inseparable ingredient. Course encourages attendees to explore fundamental issues of engineering: what is proper technology and what are proper ways of exercising engineering, issues dealt in soft engineering. Since course topics cover many aspects of technology, traditional learning methods fail to be successful and efficient. Various efficient learning methods have been proposed and implemented. We utilize various interactive tangible media, which include simulated thought experiments and physical media experiences. About 20 episodes in short film format are produced based on scenario written according to related issues selected. Physical media like interactive robots are introduced for attendees' stimulated experiences. We summarize our exciting experiments on interactive teaching experiences at Pusan National University which include on/off-line interactions, assignments, projects, and evaluations.
