  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of personal image on self-leadership. The experimental study showed relationship between the variables of personal image and self-leadership by using personal image questionnaires and a revised self-leadership questionnaire both extracted from the literature study. The results of this study are as follows. First, six factors of self-leadership were drawn as the reliability and validity of were verified. The factors of self-leadership and the components for personal images showed a significant correlation. Second, the satisfaction rates of the components for personal image showed significant effects on three factors(performed successfully imagination, self-set goals, as well as belief and assumption analysis) of self-leadership. Third, significant results were obtained from the analysis of differences in self-leadership according to the levels of satisfaction on the components of personal image. These are expected to have effects on self-leadership between the groups for some factors(performed successfully imagination, self-set goals, belief and assumption analysis, self-reward, self-cues).

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to develope a structural model of health insensitivity and to verify the model of health insensitivity. Method: There were three theoretical variables in the hypothetical model. The endogenous variable was health insensitivity which is a concept including bluntness of health risk perception and unhealthy behavior. The exogenous variables were composed of personal factors and socio-cultural factors. In personal factors, neuroticism, external health locus of control, blunting style of information-seeking, deficit of self-efficacy, knowledge deficit related to health, health-related experience, age and education were included. Whereas socio-cultural factors include perceived group size of unhealthy behavior and stereotypes of unhealthy behavior. Result: Personal factors and sociocultural factors were significant in explanation of the health insensitivity. Relationship between personal factors and sociocultural factors was significant, too. However, the optimistic bias as part of health insensitivity was not supported by these data. GFI, AGFI and PGFI were .95, .92, .65, respectively. Therefore, this model was verified to be a good fit to the data and parsimonious. Conclusion: Nursing to change unhealthy behavior has focused on personal factors rather than sociocultural factors. Based on this result, however, the sociocultural factors should be considered as well.

  • With the rapid increase in information and the development of information technologies, the importance of information management is increasing for individuals. The study aimed to examine how the motivations or disturbance factors of personal information management affect college students. First, the motivation and disturbance factors of personal information management were derived through the analysis of previous studies, and the effects of these factors on information organization and information management activities were analyzed. For this purpose, an online questionnaire was conducted for college students at a university in Seoul and a total of 593 valid responses were analyzed. The study found that the motivations or disturbance factors of personal information management influenced personal information management behavior. The study extends the literature of personal information management by analyzing the information management behavior of individuals and identifying the factors influencing such behavior. Furthermore, the finding of the study suggests the practical implications that it is essential to provide personal information management education so that college students can manage personal information efficiently.

  • There have been a number of legal & policy studies on the affecting factors of big data utilization, but empirical research on the composition factors of personal information regulation or data combination, which acts as a constraint, has been hardly done due to the lack of relevant statistics. Therefore, this study empirically explores the priority of personal information regulation factors and data combination factors that influence big data utilization through Delphi Analysis. As a result of Delphi analysis, personal information regulation factors include in order of the introduction of pseudonymous information, evidence clarity of personal information de-identification, clarity of data combination regulation, clarity of personal information definition, ease of personal information consent, integration of personal information supervisory authority, consistency among personal information protection acts, adequacy punishment intensity in case of violation of law, and proper penalty level when comparing EU GDPR. Next, data combination factors were examined in order of de-identification of data combination, standardization of combined data, responsibility of data combination, type of data combination institute, data combination experience, and technical value of data combination. These findings provide implications for which policy tasks should be prioritized when designing personal information regulations and data combination policies to utilize big data.

  • Recently, the personal cloud computing service has been being spotlighted as an individual tool of productivity enhancement. However, compared to the rosy forecast, its diffusion rate in the domestic (Korean) market is much slower than expected. In order to find the reason for the slow growth of personal cloud computing service, we attempt to identify influencing factors on user's adoption resistance, while most prior research has focused on the factors affecting its adoption. Based on both the person-technology fit model and the privacy calculus model, we propose technostress and perceived value as key antecedents of adoption resistance. In addition, we identify (1) technical (pace of change and complexity) and personal (self-efficacy) influencing factors on technostress, and (2) beneficial (perceived mobility and perceived availability) and harmful (perceived vulnerability) influencing factors on perceived value. To validate our research model, 133 individual samples were gathered from undergraduate and graduate students who had actual experience of using at least one of personal cloud computing services. The results of the structural equation modeling confirm that both technostress and perceived value have significant effects on adoption resistance, but they have different influencing mechanisms to different types of adoption resistance (indifference, postponement, and rejection). Theoretical and practical contributions are discussed in the conclusion.

  • Internet addiction, one of adverse effects of the informatization, has become a very serious social problem. The purpose of this study is to seek solutions for the adverse effects of the informatization by analyzing the causal factors of internet addiction to maximize prevention of the internet addiction for college students. The three causal factors of the internet addiction: personal factors, familial factors, and social environmental factors are defined as the second confirmatory factors, and the first confirmatory factors for the each second confirmatory factor are reviewed for influential factors of internet addiction. The study concluded that the personal factors are the most influential factors of internet addiction for college students; furthermore, self-control and self-efficacy are key variables of the personal factors. Therefore, it can be effective ways to prevent internet addiction if countermeasures on self-control and self-efficacy of the personal factors are presented.

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between personal factors(creativity, outwarding, entrepreneurship) and incremental innovation, and the moderating effect of tenure in the domestic service enterprises. Based on the responses from 306 employees, the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that all personal factors except creativity have positive relationships with incremental innovation factors. The results of moderating analysis showed that entrepreneurship have more positive effects on all incremental innovation factors while respondents' tenure being shorter.

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between personal factors(creativity, outwarding, entrepreneurship) and incremental innovation, and the moderating effect of tenure in the domestic service enterprises. Based on the responses from 213 employees, the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that almost personal factors have positive relationships with incremental innovation factors. The results of moderating analysis showed that entrepreneurship have negative effects on all incremental innovation factors in interacting with tenure.

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to synthesize related studies and identify the predictors of school adjustment among multicultural children. Methods: The author searched Google Scholar, RISS, KISS, Naver Academic, NDSL, and the National Assembly Library databases from August 1 to August 8, 2016. Keywords included multicultural, adolescents, school life, and school adjustment. Results: Twenty two studies, from 3,645 screened references, were included and finally analyzed. All studies were prospective studies and used regression analysis. The predictors of school adjustment among multicultural children were children's personal factors and social factors. Children's personal factors consisted of general factors, psychosocial factors, and situational factors. Social factors consisted of parental factors, family factors, teacher factors, and peer factors. Conclusion: The findings suggest that consideration of social factors as well as personal factors of multicultural children, their family, teacher, and peers is needed to improve school adjustment of multicultural children.
