This study was conducted to identify the health promotion behavior of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and examine the factors influencing this behavior. The subjects were 152 outpatients who were treated for pulmonary tuberculosis at the national tuberculosis hospital located in M City. Data were collected from July to September, 2016 and analyzed using the t-test, ANOVA, Duncan's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Health promotion behavior was negatively correlated with physical symptoms, perceived barriers, and depression, but positively correlated with self-efficacy. The most powerful variable influencing health promotion behavior was depression and the model showed an explanatory power of 63.5%. The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to employ a variety of strategies to practice and maintain the health promotion behavior of pulmonary tuberculosis patients to decrease their depression and provide psychological support.
According to statistics, the number of mobile payment users in China shows an increasing trend year by year. However, less than half of people over 60 years old use mobile payment. The purpose of this study is to explore the reasons for the low usage rate of mobile payment platforms among the elderly in China. Through literature research, questionnaires and interviews, the author found that the main obstacle for the elderly in China to use mobile payment platforms is acceptance barrier. Then, the user experience research method and technology acceptance model (TAM) were combined to construct a new research model and five hypotheses affecting acceptance behavior in the model were summarized. Finally, the Analysis of Covariance(ANCOVA) was used to test the hypotheses and found that satisfaction (SA), perceived usefulness (PU) and job relevance (JR) had significant coefficients of 0.001, 0.000 and 0.004 respectively, all of which were less than 0.05 and therefore had a significant effect on acceptability. The other two elements, perceived ease of use (PE) and self-efficacy (SE), did not have a significant effect on acceptability. Ultimately, a new user experience acceptability model was constructed to provide theoretical support for mobile payment platform developers and designers to develop products from the acceptability perspective, so as to develop more mobile payment methods suitable for elderly users and improve the acceptance of mobile payment by the elderly.
Using Herzberg's motive hygiene theory, this study also investigated the influence of motivation factors and hygiene factors on acceptance and resistance of mobile facial recognition payment services, and the influence of consumer innovation as a parameter on acceptance and resistance from motivation factors and hygiene factors. A survey was conducted on Chinese users who had experience using mobile payment services. IBM SPSS Statistics 26 and SmartPLS 3.0 were used for statistical analysis. As a result of the analysis, the motivating factors of mobile facial recognition payment services have a positive (+) impact on acceptance, and there were no significant results on resistance. In addition, hygiene factors have been shown to have negative (-) effects on acceptance and positive (+) effects on resistance. Consumer innovation, which is a parameter in relation to motivation factors and acceptance and resistance, had a partial mediation effect, and a partial mediation effect was also seen in the relationship between hygiene factors and resistance, but no mediation effect was found in the relationship between hygiene factors and acceptance. The motivating factors found through research results such as rapidity, ubiquity, perceived usability, perceived ease of use, privacy concerns, security, status quo inertia, use barriers, and loss avoidance, which are factors of non-contact and hygiene, can be used as basic data for activating mobile facial recognition payment services.
It is expected that expanded use of smartphone and enhanced information technology will enable smartwork to change individuals and organizations. Smartwork is expected to allow people to perform their roles without barriers of time and space. However, people tend not to accept and actively utilize smartwork. The present study is to examine how important flexibility-willingness is for performance outcome in the context of smartwork. It was hypothesized that flexibility-willingness mediates between perceived smartwork usefulness and work-family conflict. It was also hypothesized based on technology acceptance model that task interdependence and process control moderates the relationship between flexibility-willingness and work-family conflict because the relationship is not consistent. The results show that the mediation effect of the flexibility-willingness is statistically significant. The moderator effects of task interdependence was marginal proved but process control wasn't. From these results, we discussed the theoretical implications of findings, limitations, suggestions for future research in discussion.

This study evaluated the attitudes of the Korean population towards sunscreen use through the Health Belief Model (HBM) construct and investigated the psychological factors that influence sunscreen use. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted from 1 November 2023 to 1 January 2024, and a total of 303 participants were collected. The collected data were analysed using SPSS v. 25.0 programme using Cronbach's 𝛼, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, independent samples t-test, one way ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the mean score of sunscreen use was 3.26±1.384 out of 5, and there was a significant correlation between the variables of the health belief model and sunscreen use (p<.01). Gender, age, and skin colour were also associated with each variable, with women, the elderly, and those with lighter skin tending to be more proactive in sun protection. Multiple regression analyses revealed that self-efficacy (𝛽=.629, p<.001) and perceived vulnerability (𝛽=.139, p<.001), sub-factors of the Health Belief Model, had a statistically significant positive effect on sunscreen use, while perceived barriers (𝛽=-.261, p<.001) had a statistically significant negative effect on sunscreen use. These results may have important theoretical implications for the development and implementation of educational programmes to promote sunscreen use by providing insight into the psychosocial factors that influence sun protection.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors related to Breast cancer Screening using Mammography and CBE of Korean women over 40 years of age. Methods: The participants for this study were 183 Korean women living in 3 urban cities and aged from 40 to 75. The data were collected using structured questionnaires which included sociodemographic factors (11 items), frequency and regularity of mammography and clinical breast examination (7 items), knowledge (16 items), health belief model scale (28 items), and family support (4 items) about breast cancer and breast cancer screening. Frequencies, Chronbach's alpha for reliability, Chi-square, t-test and logistic regression with the SPSS/WIN 12 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The percentages of Korean women who had a mammography and CBE for breast cancer screening were 60.1 and 31.1, respectively. Logistic regression analyses demonstrated that regular check ups and perceived barriers were significant predictors of mammography and CBE use for breast cancer screening. Conclusion: In order to increase the frequency of breast cancer screening practices, educational support and a health care delivery system is needed to improve the chance of regular health check ups.

This study aimed to compare smoking, drinking, dietary management, personal hygiene, and oral care between immigrant women in urban and rural areas and to determine predictors of the overall health behaviors. With the standardized questionnaire used for community health survey data collection was performed in 128 immigrant women from November 2011 to October 2012. Rural women performed significantly higher numbers of health behaviors than urban women and residential district, education, employment status, and perceived difficulties related to cultural adaptation significantly predicted health behaviors in immigrant women. Immigrant women in urban areas may be highly vulnerable in maintaining health behaviors compared with rural women and cultural barriers may hinder positive health behavior maintenance. Therefore, careful considerations at individual, community, and environmental levels are needed when assessing immigrant women's health behaviors and designing culturally relevant interventions to improve health status.
The North Pacific Arctic region has common factors such as climatic characteristics and similarity of animals inhabiting the region. But also there exists geographical barriers that separates the tribes, different languages between the tribes. Although there are such differences, the clothing and ornaments of the region have relatively similar design and style. And above all possess the ‘spirit’. The tribes find the motives of such ‘spirit’ in human, animal, and soul\`s adaptability to change and in grafting such changes of forms into clothing. Especially as means of pleasing the animal that they vitally rely on, the tribes made the clothing as beautiful as the nature itself and they tried to connect the humans and animals universally through such clothing that have social, artistic, and enchantic conditions. The supply of raw materials of animals has elevated the creativeness one step up and the precise knowledge about fur show their superior techniques in making fur clothing. The use of gutskin has is an excellent example of such knowledge, which is very unique of the region. The gutskin has moderate plasticity and thus can be cut into all sorts of pattern. It harmonizes the functionality and practicality. The worldwide fashion trend is dominated by Western style, but the clothing of this region is still keeping its distinctive folk identity. At the start of the research, Kayak and itelmen tribes of Asia, the tribes of Amur river and Aleut and Tlingit tribes of North America seems to be geographically too far from each other and therefore searching theoretical background for common cultural origins seems to be immoderate. But lighting the fact that geographical adjacency that can be perceived through costume cultural history, is the most important factor that gives mutual influences to costume culture between the neighboring tribes, cultural relative similarity of the costume is influenced by geographical location rather than physical distance between the tribes. Also humans\` adaptability to their environment is seriously contaminated with man-made products. This study on North Pacific Arctic region is telling us many things about our past, present and future.
Although nutrition education for pregnant women is important, few such programs have been carefully examined from the participants' perspective in Korea. Focus groups were used to identify 1) perceived eating behaviors during pregnancy and lactation, 2) factors associated with healthy eating behaviors, and 3) needs for nutrition education programs. Using a trained moderator, we conducted 7 focus group interviews with 44 pregnant women over a four-month period. Focus group discussions were video - and audio - taped, transcribed and categorized by major themes. Participants expressed interest in receiving nutrition education regarding healthy eating, weight control after delivery, weaning foods and health management, yet they showed little interest in breastfeeding. The majority of them said that meal balance and meal regularity were the most important components of good health during pregnancy. They were less likely to be confident about taking dietary supplements, including Oriental medicines. life stress and poor appetite associated with pregnancy were major barriers to healthy eating habits during pregnancy. The most important sources of nutrition and health information were friends and family members, especially those who had become pregnant recently. Qualified educators and reliable information appeared to be the most important aspects of program development. Regarding types of nutrition education, participants tended to prefer a combination of individual counseling and small group education with hands-on materials and interactive formats. The use of Web-based nutrition education was well received Major concerns about Web-based nutrition education were authenticity, tailored messages and interactive formats for sharing information. These results offer useful information for designing nutrition education programs for pregnant and lactating women in Korea for health promotion.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of the school dietitian on superior agricultural products (SAP) and the status of using superior agricultural products in school meals. Questionnaires were distributed to 185 school dietitians after face to face interview, and a total of 181 responses were used for analysis. 82.3% of the respondents were using SAPs in school meals and there was a significant difference between elementary school (95.1%), middle school (76.8%) and high school (66.7%) dietitians (p < 0.001). 85.2% of the dietitians, who were using SAP, were purchasing SAPs through electronic bidding, and the main reason of not using SAPs was the higher price of SAPs than that of general agricultural products. The good agricultural practices (GAP) product was considered the most appropriate agricultural products for school meals by the majority of respondents (66.9%), and organic products was the next (13.3%). In addition, the most important selection criterion for a SAP perceived by school dietitians was safety (58.0%), and the main reason of using SAPs in school meals, when two choices were allowed, was 'to provide healthful food to children' (98.9%). The major barriers to using SAPs in school meals (two choices were allowed) were 'too expensive' (73.5%) and 'unstable supply' (32.6). In conclusion, it was suggested that there should be an improvement in SAP supply and management systems to increase the use of SAPs in school meals.
