위험성 평가중 화재.폭발 지수 산정방법에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Fire and Explosion Index in the Petro-chemical Plant)

  • 본 연구는 석유/화학공장에서의 위험성 평가에 관한 것으로써, 특히 물질과 공정의 위험에 관한 상대적 평가를 수행할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 즉, 물질의 위험과, 공정이 내포하고 있는 위험을 각각 고려하여 이를 종합화하였으며, 최종적으로 화재, 폭발 지수를 산정하였다. 물질계수는 인화성과 반응성으로 산정하였고, 공정 지수는 penalty라 부르는 경험적 수치를 사용하였다. 이 F&EI는 전 공정에 적용하여 위험의 상대적 평가를 실시할 수 있으며 현장에서의 직접 적용도 가능하다.

An Improved Analytic Model for Power System Fault Diagnosis and its Optimal Solution Calculation

  • When a fault occurs in a power system, the existing analytic models for the power system fault diagnosis could generate multiple solutions under the condition of one or more protective relays (PRs) and/or circuit breakers (CBs) malfunctioning, and/or an alarm or alarms of these PRs and/or CBs failing. Therefore, this paper presents an improved analytic model addressing the above problem. It takes into account the interaction between the uncertainty involved with PR operation and CB tripping and the uncertainty of the alarm reception, which makes the analytic model more reasonable. In addition, the existing analytic models apply the penalty function method to deal with constraints, which is influenced by the artificial setting of the penalty factor. In order to avoid the penalty factor's effects, this paper transforms constraints into an objective function, and then puts forward an improved immune clonal multi-objective optimization algorithm to solve the optimal solution. Finally, the cases of the power system fault diagnosis are served for demonstrating the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed model and method.

On the Use of Adaptive Weights for the F-Norm Support Vector Machine

  • When the input features are generated by factors in a classification problem, it is more meaningful to identify important factors, rather than individual features. The $F_{\infty}$-norm support vector machine(SVM) has been developed to perform automatic factor selection in classification. However, the $F_{\infty}$-norm SVM may suffer from estimation inefficiency and model selection inconsistency because it applies the same amount of shrinkage to each factor without assessing its relative importance. To overcome such a limitation, we propose the adaptive $F_{\infty}$-norm ($AF_{\infty}$-norm) SVM, which penalizes the empirical hinge loss by the sum of the adaptively weighted factor-wise $L_{\infty}$-norm penalty. The $AF_{\infty}$-norm SVM computes the weights by the 2-norm SVM estimator and can be formulated as a linear programming(LP) problem which is similar to the one of the $F_{\infty}$-norm SVM. The simulation studies show that the proposed $AF_{\infty}$-norm SVM improves upon the $F_{\infty}$-norm SVM in terms of classification accuracy and factor selection performance.

TRANSYT 모델의 내재 모개변수에 관한 연구 (A Study on TRANSYT Model-embedded Parameters)

  • Prior to using any computer model, the program-embedded palameters showing significant differences from real world should be calibrated. This is especially true when the model is expected to be used fro various roadway and traffic condition. The calibration of TRANSYT model was conducted for the parameters of start-up delay, and lag, stop penalty(K), platoon dispersion factor, and saturation flow rate. The values of the parameters were obtained by theoretical methods from actual field measurements for discharging and arrival pattern. The sites elected for the study was an intersection of Dongil-Ro and Hwarang-Ro, and a 334 meter downstrean section from the intersection stop line on westbound Hwarang-Ro. The study results showed that the start-up delay was 2.6 sec, end lag was 1.0 sec, saturation flow rate was 2287 pcphgpl, platoon dispersion factor was 0.2-03, and stop penalty(K) was 32. However, since these parameters re apt to depend on traffic and roadway condition, it is doubtful whether the obtained values will be applicable to the area-wide situation other than this particular site.

  • When precontract pricing is applied, consumers must reserve expecting the amount of electricity to use. But Consumers expecting demand has stochastic property, expecting demand may be different from real demand. To prepare for this problem, spinning reserve is needed. Now I suggest new pricing system that someone has large variance and large elacity pays high price by the accumulated penalty factor. And I suggest the accumulated penalty factor for maximizing social welfare.

QFD방법을 이용한 의료 서비스 개선전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on Strategy for Improving Health Care Service through Quality Function Deployment)

  • It is truism to say that today's customers demand high quality products and services; nevertheless, nowhere is this more prevalent than in the medical industry. Korea's globalization has increased it's citizen's awareness of greater life expectancies and medical improvements in other regions of the globe. Therefore, it is universally essential that in order to be successful in the medical industry, vendors must meet the ever increasing demands of better educated customers. The purpose of this study was twofold: 1) The first objective was discover what health care services are in demand and the quality factors related to these services. 2) The second objective was to determine a strategy for improving health care service through quality function deployment(QFD). One hundred and ninety-five respondents were randomly selected and asked to fill out a questionnaire after having undergone treatment at a medical clinic, located in Daejon, South Korea. The questionnaire was designed to obtain information about both he clients' satisfaction with, and their sense of the value of the medical treatment they received. Penalty-reward analysis and QFD were used to interpret the survey results and to deploy the collective voices of the customers. The results of the penalty-reward analysis illustrated that the 'communication' service quality factor was classified into an excitement factor that incurs no penalty if not achieved but adds value if the requirement is exceeded. As a result of the QFD analysis on the 'communication' service quality factor, eleven strategic alternatives were prioritized, and isolated a vital service quality characteristic. This characteristic can be implemented to bring value-added changes for the improvement of health care services.

승부차기 상황에서의 키커의 골 결정 전략행동 분석 (Analysis of Kickers' Strategic Actions for Finishing in Penalty Shoot-outs)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 청소년 축구선수들의 승부차기 상황에서의 키커의 골 결정 전략행동을 심층적으로 분석하여 팀 승리를 위한 승부차기 성공 확률을 높이는데 있다. 연구대상은 수도권에 위치한 고등학교 축구선수인 경력자 271명을 대상으로 하였다. 청소년 축구선수들의 승부차기 상황에서의 키커의 골 결정 전략행동에 대한 차이를 알아보기 위하여 빈도분석과 chi-square을 사용하였다. 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 키커의 승부차기 성공 여부는 선수 경력에 따라 성공 확률이 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 키커의 슈팅구질은 슈팅 위치와 상관없이 정확하게 슈팅하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 승부차기 성공 확률을 높이는데 주요한 요인으로 작용되는 것은 슈팅 시선을 통한 전략행동인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 키커가 슛을 하기 전 전략행동을 골키퍼는 키커의 서있는 위치를 먼저 확인한 후 키커의 몸동작과 시선을 통해 슛의 방향과 슈팅구질을 예측하는 것으로 나타났다.

10Gb/s 광신호의 320km 분산천이 광섬유 전송실험 (Transmission of 10 Gb/s optical signais over 320 km of a dispersion shifted fiber)

  • 전송용 고아섬유로 320km의 분산천이 광섬유를 사용하여 10Gb/s 광링크를 구성하고 전송실험을 수행하였다. 광링크는 10Gb/s 광송수신기, 광전력 증폭기, 3개의 광전로 증폭치 증폭기 및 전송용로 구성되어Tdmaum 전송거리에 따른 비트 오율 특성에 대하여 조사하였다. 전송실험 결과 광선로 증폭기의 입력세기가 -18dBm이고, 이득이 28dB인 경우 수신기 입력단에서 측정된 광학적 신호대 잡음비는 28dB로 나타났으며, 광섬유를 사용하지 않은 경우와 비교하여 2dB의 전력 패널티가 발생한 것으로 나타났다. 광섬유 전송 후 발샹한 2dB의 전력 패널티는 광학적 신호대 잡음비 열화에 의해 1dB, 경로 패널티에 의해 1dB가 발생하는 것으로 조사되었다.

  • Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) system was introduced to manage pollution load of watershed and to improve water quality of unit watershed so that it is possible to protect dringking water soureces. Load allocation observation is the most important factor in TMDLs system. Because if load allocation is not observed, it is difficult to achieve water quality goal of unit watershed. Also it is impossible to improve water quality of the drinking water sources. Therefore it is necessary to apply some kind of sanctions (penalty) in case of excess of load allocation. The sanctions have to be, however, applied differently based on various reduction plan types, i.e., using the reduction load planed in 2nd phase, delay the completion, additional reduction in 2nd phase, error of the pollution sources, etc. Moreover, the penalty load should be properly imposed, lest it should be overburden the provence. The reduction load trade inter province must be restrictively permmitted only the same unit watershed.

마이크로핀관내에서 R-22와 R-4O7C의 응축압력강하 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study for the pressure drop of R-22 and R-4O7C during the condensation in the micro-fin tubes)

  • Experiments were conducted for the investigation of pressure drop inside horizontal micro-fin tubes during the condensation of R-22 and ternary refrigerant. R-407C(HFC-32/125/134a 23/25/62 wt%) as a substitute of R-22. The condenser is a double-tube and counterflow type heat exchanger which is consisted with micro-fin tubes having 60 fins with a length of 4000mm, outer diameter of 9.53mm and fin height of 0.2mm. The mass velocity varied from 102.1 to $301.0kg/(m^2{\cdot}s)$ and inlet quality was fixed as 1.0. From the experimental results. the pressure drop for R-407C was considerably higher than that for R-22. The value of PF(penalty factor) for both of refrigerants was not bigger than the ratio of micro-fin tube area to smooth tube area. Based on the experimental data. correlation was Proposed for the prediction of frictional pressure drop during the condensation of R-22 and R-407C inside horizontal micro-fin tubes.
