  • The three main processes involved in the design of stressed membrane surface are surface form-finding, stress analysis and cutting pattern generation. The last process, cutting pattern generation, is considered as a very important procedure in the aspect of the practical design for the fabric membrane surface. In this paper, The cutting pattern generation technique using the geodesic line algorithms is first introduced. And the numerical examples resulting from this technique are presented. Cable elements are used for the approximating membrane surface and two kinds of model, square line and central line model, are used in pattern generation.   • The purpose of this study was to identify the pattern and perception of food consumption, mass restaurant use, drinking style, and food purchasing factors by cohort groups i. e., World Cup(W) generation, baby boom, and silent generation. Data were collected from 412 respondents including three generations by questionnaire method in April through May 2002. Analysis of variance and chi-square results indicate that there were significant differences among three generation groups for the pattern and perception of food consumption, the use of mass restaurant, preferred drinking style, and influencing factors for food purchasing. W generation are more likely to be influenced by sensibility factor than baby boom and silent generation. Considering food preference pattern, baby boom as well as silent generation prefer green vegetables than meats, and they must have Kimche when having meals. Similarities and differences in perceptional pattern types are discussed, and future implications for food and nutrition specialists and food marketers are provided.

  • This paper proposes an approach to generate tool-path for laser pattern machining. Considering the mechanical structure of a laser pattern machine, it is quite similar to that of a 2D milling machine. Based on the observation, one may try to utilize the tool-path generation methodologies of 2D milling for the laser pattern machining. However, it is not possible to generate tool-path without considering the technological requirements of laser pattern machining which are different from those of 2D milling. In this paper, we identify the technological requirement of laser pattern machining, and propose a proper tool-path generation methodology to satisfy the technological requirements. For the efficient generation of tool-path, this paper proposes a tool-path element computation method, which is based on the concept of a monotone chain.

  • Membrane structures, a kind of lightweight soft structural system, are used for spatial structures. The design procedure of membrane structures are needed to do shape finding, stress-deformation analysis and cutting pattern generation, because the material property has strong axial stiffness, but little bending stiffness. The problem of cutting pattern is highly varied in their size, curvature and material stiffness. So, the approximation inherent in cutting pattern generation methods is quite different. Therefore the ordinary computer software of structural analysis & design is not suitable for membrane structures. In this study, we develop the program for cutting pattern generation using geodesic line, and investigate the result of example's cutting pattern in detail.

  • This paper aims to investigate generation conditions necessary for the most efficient generation by measuring electricity power under various irradiation conditions, since the photovoltaic generation system has high costs and low efficiency. In addition, because the irradiation varies hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly, the research on the irradiation necessary for photovoltaic generation was carried out by analyzing the pattern o( Bower under various irradiation conditions. Also, after measuring the daily variations of irradiation and generation power, the monthly accumulated irradiation and monthly accumulate power which had the most generation power were investigated and the pattern of the annual generation power was analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. As for the relationship between the photovoltaic generation system and the irradiation, the generation power increased with the irradiation and when the irradiation was more than 600 $[W/m^2]$ the generation power amounted to more than 100 [Wh] as the resonable result.

  • The logical analysis of data(LAD) is an effective Boolean-logic based data mining tool. A critical step in analyzing data by LAD is the pattern generation stage where useful knowledge and hidden structural information in data is discovered in the form of patterns. A conventional method for pattern generation in LAD is based on term enumeration that renders the generation of higher degree patterns practically impossible. In this paper, we present a new optimization-based pattern generation methodology and propose two mathematical programming medels, a mixed 0-1 integer and linear programming(MILP) formulation and a well-studied set covering problem(SCP) formulation for the generation of optimal and heuristic patterns, respectively. With benchmark datasets, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our models by automatically generating with much ease patterns of high complexity that cannot be generated with the conventional approach.

  • This paper proposes a new test generation method. Most of the test generation methods are gate-level based, but our scheme is VHDL based, especially in other word, behavioral-level based. Our test pattern generation method uses software test method. And we generate deterministic test pattern with this method. The purpose of our method is to reduce the time and effort to generate the test patterns for the end-product test of IC.

  • This study is aimed at developing low waist slacks pattern with high satisfaction measurements and beauty for the tween generation girls. For this study, the research method was as follows. By extracting and analyzing industrial and educational slacks pattern, beautiful and motion-suitable slacks pattern will be created. This study presents the ideal slacks pattern that has great fit to tween generation girls by comparing and analyzing the previous 2 slacks pattern studies and the real clothing test. The constructed pattern in the 1st step was modified and adjusted from the best industrial patterns' the location of waist line, waist line gradient, rear waist bottom crotch, hip bottom crotch, dart length, the ease of hip girth, the fitness of rear bottom crotch line which were not well-estimated. The 2nd step was appearance and movement test based on the 1st study. In The 3rd step, the 2nd step was chosen as the final slacks study pattern for its superior appearance & movement satisfaction comparing with other patterns.

  • Membrane structures, a kind of lightweight soft structural system, are used for spatial structures. The material property of the membrane has strong axial stiffness, but little bending stiffness. The design procedure of membrane structures are needed to do shape finding, stress-deformation analysis and cutting pattern generation. In shape finding, membrane structures are unstable structures initially. These soft structures need to be introduced initial stresses because of its initial unstable state, and it happens large deformation phenomenon. And also there are highly varied in their size, curvature and material stiffness. So, the approximation inherent in cutting pattern generation methods is quite different. Therefore, in this study, to find the structural shape after large deformation caused by Initial stress, we need the shape analysis considering geometric nonlinear ten And the geodesic line on surface of initial equilibrium shape and the cutting pattern generation using the geodesic line is introduced.
