The methodology in historical demography comprises the three core areas the family reconstitution method at the Institut National d' Ftudes Demographiques(I.N.E.D), the back projection at the Cambridge Group for the History of PopuJation and Social Struc-ture(HPSS). and the household-pattern analysis at the Cambridge Group and at the California Institute of Technology. The paper presents an outline of the family reconstitu-tion method and discusses the problems, both theoretical and methodological, arising from the problematic back projection vis-a-vis the usual inverse projection developed by Ronald D. Lee at Berkeley. Recent developments in the tield of the generalized inverse projection method designed 10 supplement the defects in the back projection and the inverse projection are presented. and for ease of explanation of the parish register data for the family reconstitution form (FRE). pre-modern Korean household register data are presented along with the parish register data of England and Wales that constitute the backbone of historical demography in pre-modern Europe. Possibilities of exploring the household pattern analysis method based on the Laslett-Hammel classification scheme for the mid-eighteenth-century Korean household register data are suggested.

System usage, the utilization of information technology(IT) by individuals, groups or organizations, is a core variable in IS research. Indeed, there is widespread agreement among researchers that system usage is the primary variable through which IT affects white collar performance because it is a requisite, albeit insufficient, for deriving the benefits of IT. Furthermore, system usage has a notable practical value for managers interested in evaluating the impact of IT. Despite the number of studies of targeted at explaining system usage, there are more areas which required for the verification of system usage. The purpose of this paper is to address, using the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM), the usage pattern of AHP toward the various task in group decision (GD). The result showed that, for the all of the task types, perceived usage (PU) has more effect than perceived ease-of-use(PEU) on the AHP usage. However, more researches are required to generalize the result of this study.

A numerical investigation is made of three-dimensional buoyant convection of a Boussinesq-fluid in a vertical cylinder. The top and bottom endwalls are thermally insulated. Flow is driven by the substantial azimuthal variations in thermal boundary conditions. Comprehensive numerical solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations are obtained. The representative Rayleigh number is large, thus, the overall flow pattern is of boundary layer-type. Three-dimensional (low characteristics are described. Specially, the global flow and the heat transfer features are delineated when the severity of azimuthal variation of sidewall temperature n, is intensified. Temperature and velocity fields on the meridional planes and the planes of constant height are presented. The global flow weakens as n becomes large. The pattern of the local Nusselt number on the surface of cylinder is similar regardless of n. The convective gain in heat transfer activities is reduced as n increases.

During normal operation, partial discharge(PD) tests were performed using turbine generator analyzer(TGA) in high voltage motor. Epoxy-mica couplers are installed at motor terminal and analyzed PD signal using TGA. #A motor stator insulation is good because small partial discharges are detected PD pattern show that PD occurs in insulation. PD of #B motor is larger than that of #A motor and PD pattern show that positive PD larger than negative PD. It means that PD occurs between insulation and slot. And A phase PD magnitude of #B motor is large and high compare with any other phase. Therefore wedge, core and slot of #B motor need to check and repair.

Mathematical thinking is a core element in mathematics education and classroom learning. This paper wish to investigate how primary four (grade 4) students develop their mathematical thinking through working on tasks in multiplication where greatest products of multiplication are required. The tasks include the format of many digit times one digit, 2 digits times 2 digits up to 3 digits times 3 digits. It is found that the process of mathematical thinking of students depends on their own representation in obtaining the product. And the solution is obtained through a pattern/analogy and "pattern plus analogy" process. This specific learning process provides data for understanding structure and mapping in problem solving. The result shows that analogy allows successful extension of solution structure in the tasks.

Sandwich structures, which are composed of a thick core between two thin faces, are commonly used in many engineering applications because they combine high stiffness and strength with low weight. In this paper, through the FLD analysis according to the pattern changes, we have confirmed the deformed shape and formability distribution. Also, we have fabricated the dimple press mold according to the pattern changes, and obtained the dimple inner structure the forming experiments.

This paper describes the design and implementation of a System-on-a-Chip (SoC) for pattern recognition to use in embedded applications. The target Soc consists of LEON2 core, AMBA/APB bus-systems and custom-designed accelerators for Gaussian Pyramid construction, lighting compensation and histogram equalization. A new FPGA-based prototyping platform is implemented and used for design and verification of the target SoC. To ensure that the implemented SoC satisfies the required performances, a pattern recognition application is performed.

Many studies have been focused on how to manufacture ultra light metal structures and optimize them. In this study, we introduced a new idea to make sandwich panels with quasi-Kagome truss cores. First, metal sheets with a peculiar pattern of slits were expanded to be meshes, they are crimped into a triangular wave pattern, and then one third of struts were bent reversely to be quasi-Kagome trusses. Finally, two face sheets were bonded on the upper and the lower sides. The bending strength was estimated through elementary mechanics for the sandwich specimens with two kinds of face sheet the results of estimation were compared with the those of finite element analyses and experiments.

본 논문은 문헌정보학의 연구동향을 규명하기 위하여 1957년부터 1997년까지 출판된 단행본 총 767종을 내용분석을 이용하여 저자별 생산성, 주제별 생산성, 대학별 생산성, 핵심전공주제 생산성, 다저자 생산성, 주제분야별 다저자 생산성, 번역본 생산성, 연도별 생산성에 대한 분석을 살펴보았다. 이 같은 연구는 문헌정보학의 전반적인 흐름을 파악할 수가 있었다.
