Background: To investigate political participation by dental hygiene students and analyze the differences therein based on the learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy. Methods: A total of 239 dental hygiene students who were expected to graduate responded to the survey. The data were collected online using a structured questionnaire consisting of 6 items on general characteristics, 10 on political participation, and 15 on the learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0. Political participation based on the learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy was analyzed using independent t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis (p<0.05). Results: Among the dental hygiene students, 60.7% voted in all three recent presidential, general, and local elections, and 14.2% did not. For political parties supported, 65.7% responded that they had "no supporting party," and 34.3% indicated that they had a "supporting party." In terms of the level of political participation of dental hygiene students (0~50 points), the average score was 25.8 points, with the average passive political participation (0~25 points) score at 15.6 points and the average active political participation (0~25 points) score at 10.2 points. With an increase in dental hygiene policy learning efficacy, both passive and active political participation showed higher scores (p<0.05). Conclusion: Dental hygiene students showed low political participation. The presence of a supporting party, higher voting participation, and higher learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy were associated with higher passive and active political participation. Therefore, to increase this population's interest in political participation, various opportunities for related learning need to be promoted and provided in academia, leading to the enhancement of their political capabilities. In this manner, dental hygienists should expand their capabilities in various roles such as advocates, policy makers, and leaders.

The subjects consisted of 180 fathers with children at ages between 4-7 years old from 2 preschools and 3 kindergartens located in Y city in Gyeonggi province. The analyses used for this study included the t-test and multiple regression analysis. The main findings are as follows. First, fathers' play participation was not different by sociodemographic characteristics such as fathers' age, educational level, and job. Second, fathers' participation in functional play, role play, and constructive play was positively related to social activator, reassurance, and cooperation among subscales on children's social competence. Also, fathers' participation in games was negatively related to reassurance among children and positively related to hypersensitivity among children. Third, fathers' participation in role play and functional play was positively related to children's self-monitoring and self-control. These findings suggest emphasizing fathers' play participation to improve children's social competence and children's self-regulation, and it can be helpful to underline fathers' education and to develop programs for fathers' play.

Method: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 344 dental hygiene students in Gyeonggido, Chungcheongdo, and Gyeongsangdo from June 2 to 24, 2014, The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(3 items), choice reason of dental hygiene(7 items), educational satisfaction(22 items), and learning participation(11 items). The educational satisfaction and learning participation were assessed by Likert 5 points scale. Data were analyzed by a statistical package SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: Educational satisfaction included educational environments, teaching, educational content and educational effect. Learning participation included class flow, class participation and class readiness. Gyeongsangdo students tended to have higher score than other areas. The educational effect and teaching effect had more influence on learning participation. Objectives: This study was conducted to understand the effect of learners' self-determination on class participation, focusing on the feedback type of educators. Methods: A survey was conducted from May 1 to May 31 2021 on dental hygiene students, and a total of 151 valid responses were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, self-determination, class participation, and educator's feedback type. The analysis method used correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: In relation to self-determination, class participation, and feedback type of educators, self-determination was positive feedback (r=0.338, p<0.01), class participation was corrective feedback (r=0.418, p<0.01), and positive feedback was correction (r=0.742, p<0.01). As a result of the mediating effect of the educator's feedback type in the relationship between self-determination and class participation, it was found to be significant by partially mediating positive and corrective feedback. Conclusions: It was found that the right to self-determination influences class participation based on positive feedback and corrective feedback of educators. It relates to efforts to strengthen learners' self-determination and provide appropriate types of feedback from educators.

This study was designed to explore how learners' participation develop if provided with opportunities for various scientific practices and experiences in writing science magazine articles as an extra-curricular club activity and what factors facilitate these participation development. Data from participant observations, in-depth interviews with students, and documents were used to extract the common characteristics of the practices. The learners' development was categorized into 3 stages in terms of participation in the community of practice: peripheral participation, transitional participation, and full participation. As participation develops, situational interest developed to individual interests and value attachment. Students sought to get ideas from every day life, and finally, in the stage of full participation, advances in writing showed the characteristics of knowledge transformation. Best of all, the participants enjoyed and valued their participation showing identities as journalists. The nature of science magazine article, external scaffolding, and internalization through enjoyment and value attachment appeared to be decisive factors that facilitate the development of participation. Student's enculturation of writing for learning offers a possibility that continue to do so, even after they have left formal schooling and make a basis for lifelong learning.

This paper researched social, cultural background, psychological bases, design method and design types with regard to user's participation in space design. This issue of user's participation became one of major paradigms of 21st century not only for space design but also for every other cultural phenomenon. First chapter is an introduction. Second chapter tried to assert the fact that user's participation will be the important aspect for future space design by proving the correlation between user's participation in space design and the important social changes. It also tried to prove the psychological reasons why the users' participations affect the level of user satisfaction. It can be explained by Behaviorism which insisted that our outer behaviors affect our inner attitudes and preferences. Third chapter explained the affordances in design which works as a means of inducing user's participatory behaviors. Fourth chapter proposed the types of participatory space designs classified by the users' behavioral features and their characteristics, intending that they will verify the realization of the theories which we discussed in the former chapters regarding the users' participation in space design. The fifth chapter is a conclusion which says that outwardly, those participations are simply making external changes in design. but actually, they are reflecting more profound social changes and making important psychological effects on users.

The theory that blood type is linked to personality (and other mental and physical qualities) is popular mainly in Japan, though it has carried over to Taiwan and South Korea. The present study is the result of a scientific research in which the relationship between two important variables, namely blood group a nd group participation, are determined in the research framework. Based on some collected data from manufacturing firms which are accepted firms in Tehran Stock Exchange, and through cluster sampling a sample was selected. 380 questionnaires were distributed to the personnel of production line, of the firms then the reliability and validity of the questionnaires through independence test and average ratio comparison of the two population were examined, and through Pearson's chi-square formula, the relationship between blood group (independent variable) and group participation (dependent variable) were tested, then through Schuprow coefficient, the prioritization of blood groups over group participation was identified and the following results were obtained: people group participation is affected by their personality features which is derived from their temperament, mood, and characteristics. The study also showed that people blood groups has an effect on their group cooperation, and among blood groups, blood group A has the greatest tendency to group participation and then blood group O, AB, B are prioritized respectively.
