  • This study examines the influence of mentoring function on major adaptation of university students in a fashion related department and identifies the moderating role of self-efficacy and mentor competence on the effectiveness of a fashion mentoring function. Questionnaire data were gathered from 266 university students in a fashion related department with previous experience in a mentoring program. The results showed that the psychosocial function, sensitivity developmental function, and the fashion career developmental function had a positive impact on the department adaptation (adaptation for professor and adaptation for learning). In addition, there were moderating effects of self-efficacy on the influence of the fashion career developmental function on professor adaptation and the moderating effects of mentor competence on the influence of the sensitivity developmental function on professor adaptation. The results of this study provide various guidelines for professors or administrators of fashion related departments who are interested in mentoring systems.

  • This paper proposes the method of switching function implementation using switching function extraction based on graph over finite fields. After we deduce the matrix equation from path number of directional graph, we propose the switching function circuit algorithm, also we propose the code assignment algorithm for nodes which is satisfied the directional graph characteristics with designed circuits. We can implement more optimal switching function compare with former algorithm, also we can design the switching function circuit which have any natural number path through the proposed switching function circuit implementation algorithms. Also the proposed switching function implementation using graph theory over finite fields have decrement number of input-output, circuit construction simplification, increment arithmetic speed and decrement cost etc.

  • Purpose: This study examined family function and self-esteem among young and middle-aged adults with physical disabilities. Methods: The subjects of this study consisted of 116 adults with physical disabilities. Data were collected from 4 Community rehabilitation centers in C area from October to November 2008. All subjects were questioned about family function and self-esteem by the APGAR scale and the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. SPSS/WIN 12.0 was used for descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. Results: Subjects had a moderate level of family function (5.31) and self-esteem (28.13). There were significant differences of family function according to age, monthly income, economic status, and disability site. There were significant differences in self-esteem according to age, gender, monthly income, and economic status. The level of family function and income were related to self-esteem. Conclusion: These findings suggest that there is a necessity to improve family function and self-esteem among young and middle-aged adults with physical disabilities. Nursing interventions should take into account the role of family function in promoting self-esteem in people with physical disabilities.

  • In this paper, the optimization design module for the brake system of a vehicle is developed. As using this module, design variables, that minimize an object function and satisfy nonlinear constraint conditions, can be found easily. Before an optimization is operated, Plackett-Burman design, one of the factorial design methods, is used to choose the design variables which affect a response function significantly. Using the response surface analysis, second order recursive model function, which informs a relation between design variables and response function, is estimated. In order to verify the reliability of the model function, analysis of variances(ANOVA) table is used. The value of design variables which minimize the model function and satisfy the constraint conditions is predicted through Sequential Quadratic-Programming (SQP) method. As applying the above procedure to a real vehicle simulation model and comparing the values of object functions of a current and optimized system, the optimization results are verified.

  • Purpose: Individuals affected by stroke present with changes in motor function, balance, and cognition. The purpose of this study was to the correlation between motor function, balance, and cognition in patients with stroke. Design: cross-sectional study design. Methods: 67 stroke patients in the experiment were included. For evaluation of motor function which is Manual Muscle Test, Range of Motion, Modified Ashworth Scale for spasticity, grasping power, and balance was measured using the Berg Balance Scale and Functional reach test. For evaluating Cognition which is Korean-Mini Mental State Examination. Results: The results of this study's motor function, balance, and cognition showed a significant positive correlation (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results indicated that motor function, balance, and cognition were significantly correlated with each other. Therefore, it is suggested that to improve the motor function and balance of patients with stoke, it needs to evaluate the cognition and the motor function, balance, and cognitive training should be combined.

  • A physical variable is customarily thought of as a function. Another way of describing a physical variable is to specify it as a functional, whose special type is called a distribution. It turns out that the distribution concept provide a better mechanism for analyzing certain physical phenomena than does the function concept. By using wavelets with high regularity we give a resolution of functions with slow growth.

  • We introduction some properties for fuzzy power function of performance of a test. First we define fuzzy type I error and type II error for the probability of the two types of error. And we show that an fuzzy error probability of one kind can only be reduced at cost of increasing the other fuzzy error probability.

  • In this paper, we define the ap-Denjoy integral and investigate some properties od the ap-Denjoy integral. In particular, we show that a function f : [a,b]${\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ is ap-Denjoy integrable on [a,b] if and only if there exists an $ACG_s$ function F on [a,b] such that $F^{\prime}_{ap}=f$ almost everywhere on [a,b].

  • In this paper we propose a nonparametric estimator of the men residual life function (MRLF) on a coherent system under the condition that the component lifetimes are censored by system lifetime. It is shown that the proposed estimator, considered as a function of age t, converges weakly to a Gaussian process on a fixed interval. A consistent estimator of asymptotic variance of the proposed estimator is also given.

  • In this paper we characterize asymptotic stability via Lyapunov function in general dynamical systems on c-first countable space. We give a family of examples which have first countable but not c-first countable, also c-first countable and locally compact space but not metric space. We obtain several necessary and sufficient conditions for a compact subset M of the phase space X to be asymptotic stability.
