The purpose was to identify the middle and high school students'clothing gift purchasing behavior according to the consumption orientation. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 585 middle and high school students who had an experience of purchasing a clothing gift more than one time during recent one year in Chonbuk province from Mar. 6 to Mar. 15 2000. Frequency. percentage. mean. standard deviation. factor analysis. $\varkappa$$_2$-test. t-test. one way ANOVA were used for data analysis. Duncan's Multiple Range test was followed. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The student's consumption orientation factors were consisted of plan, practicality. and pleasure. and they were divided into the practicality pursuit. the convenience pursuit. and the feeling pursuit. 2. The practicality pursuit considered practical aspects more. but considered external aspects of gifts less. gift purchasing frequencies was less. and selected cheaper gifts. The convenience pursuit considered practical aspects less. purchased gift more frequently. and selected ore expensive ones. The feeling pursuit considered practical aspects and external aspects of gift important. 3. Girls considered the external aspects of clothing gift more important than boys. and patronized the specialty store or discount outlet. The students in high schools or with more pocket money considered more criteria when selecting gifts. and selected more expensive ones. 4. Middle and high school students game and took gifts 1-3 times a year. and the common price rage was 10,000-30,000 won. Girls with more pocket money and in older ages selected more expensive gifts. On birthday or parents day. they used to select clothing as a gift more frequently. and the rank order of the favorite items were socks or stockings. handkerchiefs. and upper outer wears. They patronized specially store or opposite sexes.
The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships between teachers' sense of self-efficacy and their job satisfaction to improve the quality of child care centers. It is crucial for teachers to have self-efficacy to reveal their potential for change and have opportunities to work better. In addition to teachers' self-efficacy, teachers' job satisfaction should be added to offer better child care service for parents as well as children. In this study, teachers' personalities and self-efficacy were compared between public and private child care centers to have further discussion making a progress of their job satisfaction. The results of this study are as follows : (a)The location of child care centers have meaningful effects on teachers' job satisfaction both in public and private child care centers equally. (b)Teachers in public child care centers have stronger influences on self-efficacy in home-related education and positive learning environment than teachers in private child care centers. (c)Teachers' participation in decision making is a significant factor that has affects on teachers' job satisfaction both in public and private child care centers.

The purpose of this study was to discuss the factors according to SBCD conceptual change by literature analysis and FGI(focus group interview). It's to identify the problem of SBCD centered around world-wide and research trends. Also this study briefly surveys the current factors considered in SBCD. The results were as follows First, SBCD is able to be classified according to national curriculum level's acceptance degree. Second, each nation and school had a different understanding to the SBCD. Third, this study developed three domains(human, content, and environment) and nine factors(principals, teachers, students, parents, community people, regular curriculum, after school curriculum, other special programs, and school environment) based on literature analysis and FGI to develop SBCD. As observed by the above results, it will provide schools with the groundwork for discussion of increasing chances for successful curriculum development with continuous extending of SBCD.
The purpose of this study was to classify types of family visitors' behaviors more concretely, which could be useful in planning of exhibition spaces in a science museum, with given priority to their behaviors according to interaction between them, and to understand characteristics of the behaviors. With this view, the scope of this study was restricted to subjects, who were family visitors of Gwacheon National Science Museum, consisting of parents and their one elementary school child per family unit. For understanding their behaviors, itinerary tracking and observation method of behavior were conducted. Moreover, for understanding substantial types and characteristics of family visitors' behaviors, multivariate analysis was applied. Accordingly, the results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of factor analysis, two main factors were derived. In other words, they were 'Durability of viewing' as the first and 'Interactivity between family members' as the second, which were shown valid in classification of the types of their behaviors. Second, according to the factors derived, the types of their behaviors were classified into in-depth cooperative viewing, selective independent viewing, interest concentration child-led viewing and consideration parent-led viewing. They were shown valid in topological localization and classification, as a result of analysis of the main factors. Third, in view of common characteristics of the types, it is judged that active orientation prior to regular viewing could encourage visitors coming to the museum for the first time to feel more friendly to unfamiliar exhibition environments, during the initial seek time, and to reduce visual supersaturation. Fourth, it is judged that distributed arrangement of exhibits, which result in continuous standby, could avoid confused visitor circulation by the estimated time required for viewing.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the child care support policies and the birth rate in 33 OECD countries. In the structural equation modelling, the birth rate was the dependent variable while the cash-support policies, the child-care facility service policies, and the tax benefits policies were the independent variables. The analysis showed that the most effective factor on the birth rate was the child-care facility service policies. Regarding the effectiveness of the policy expenses, the cash-support policies showed stable fluctuation of effectiveness according to the fluctuation of cash amount, the child-care facility service policies. In conclusion, in order to increase the effectiveness of the cash-support policies, the adequate cost calculation to decrease the parents' burden for child-bearing, re-allocation of budget, and support methods and timing should be continually discussed. In addition, for the better effectiveness of the facility service policies, more various, comprehensive and high-quality facility service policies that could balance home and work, should be implemented.

Objectives To investigate the accuracy and scientific validity of the current very low risk factor for hereditary diseases in humans following exposures to ionizing radiation adopted by the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation and the International Commission on Radiological Protection. The value is based on experiments on mice due to reportedly absent effects in the Japanese atomic bomb (A-bomb) survivors. Methods To review the published evidence for heritable effects after ionising radiation exposures particularly, but not restricted to, populations exposed to contamination from the Chernobyl accident and from atmospheric nuclear test fallout. To make a compilation of findings about early deaths, congenital malformations, Down's syndrome, cancer and other genetic effects observed in humans after the exposure of the parents. To also examine more closely the evidence from the Japanese A-bomb epidemiology and discuss its scientific validity. Results Nearly all types of hereditary defects were found at doses as low as one to 10 mSv. We discuss the clash between the current risk model and these observations on the basis of biological mechanism and assumptions about linear relationships between dose and effect in neonatal and foetal epidemiology. The evidence supports a dose response relationship which is non-linear and is either biphasic or supralinear (hogs-back) and largely either saturates or falls above 10 mSv. Conclusions We conclude that the current risk model for heritable effects of radiation is unsafe. The dose response relationship is non-linear with the greatest effects at the lowest doses. Using Chernobyl data we derive an excess relative risk for all malformations of 1.0 per 10 mSv cumulative dose. The safety of the Japanese A-bomb epidemiology is argued to be both scientifically and philosophically questionable owing to errors in the choice of control groups, omission of internal exposure effects and assumptions about linear dose response.
Internet overdependence has become a public health concern in Korea. It is well known that family and community level efforts could alleviate possible harms from Internet use. However, little research exists regarding smartphone overdependence. This study examines factors affecting smartphone overdependence and, specifically, help-seeking for smartphone overdependence among Korean adolescents. The study is based on parental mediation theory and uses a help-seeking framework. The results indicate that preventative education provided by school and community increases the levels of awareness of both the possible harms from smartphone use and the option of accessing the mental health service, while it was not effective in preventing smartphone overdependence. Parental mediation was a protective factor for smartphone overdependence but was negatively associated with the intention to use the mental health service. In sum, behavioral problems related to smartphone use require multidimensional preventative efforts from both the family and the community. It is suggested that effective preventive education methods are developed for parents and adolescents.

This study is intended to check economic value of and factors influencing children's library. To this end, data on a total of 614 questionnaires to which parents among users of 6 children's libraries responded were collected. The results of analysis by contingent valuation method after selecting library fee per person as payment vehicle were as follows. First, willingness to pay was estimated to be a monthly average of KRW 9,243 per person. Second, it was shown that factors influencing willingness to pay included the frequency of utilization, satisfaction, the number of children per family, gender, age, and income and so on. Third, with regard to influence according to each factor, an additional unit in all the rest of factors except gender increased probability of willingness to pay such as the frequency of utilization(1.140), satisfaction(1.335), the number of children per family(1.417), age(1.124), income(2.426). On the other hand, in terms of gender, probability of willingness to pay was lower in female by 0.364 than in male. The implication of this study is that an interview is held with actual user and specific amount of money is presented regarding the economic value of children's library, which has been little known until now.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of knowledge and behavior towards food hygiene among child consumers, examine the factors influencing them, and analyze the causal relationship between them. The data were collected from 521 elementary school students in Youngnam area by a self-administered questionnaire. Frequencies, Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple regression analyses, and path analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows. The results from this study were as follows. First, the level of knowledge towards food hygiene was not particularly high, and the level of behavior was somewhat more than the average. Second, the factors influencing the level of knowledge towards food hygiene were school record (upper and middle), and concerns about food hygiene. In addition, concerns about food hygiene, the frequency of food hygiene education in the family, and the level of knowledge towards food hygiene had an effect on the level of behavior towards food hygiene. Third, in the analysis of the causal relationship between the knowledge and behavior towards food hygiene, school record indirectly influenced the behavior towards food hygiene, and the frequency of food hygiene education in the family directly affected the behavior towards food hygiene. On the other hand, concerns about food hygiene had direct and indirect influence on the behavior towards food hygiene. In addition, the knowledge towards food hygiene showed a direct effect on the behavior towards food hygiene. These results imply that knowledge towards food hygiene is a very important factor to improve the children's behavior towards food hygiene and that parents' concerns and guidance for children are needed.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the correlation between school-life adjustment and suicidal ideation in adolescents by applying the latent growth curve models to the longitudinal data. Methods: This study analyzed three waves of data from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey (2014~2016). A total of 1,534 students were included in the analysis. In the application of the latent growth curve models to the longitudinal survey data, we analyzed the initial status and growth changes for each wave, identified individual differences in the general characteristics, and examined the direct relationship between the two latent constructs. Results: The analysis revealed that variations in the initial status and rate of school-life adjustment were significant with respect to parents' education level, household income and academic satisfaction. Variations in the initial status and growth rate of suicidal ideation were significantly associated with household income and family structure. The relationship between school-life adjustment and suicidal ideation showed a negative correlation in which the starting value of the former increased and that of the latter decreased and vice versa. Conclusion: The results confirmed that school-life adjustment and suicidal ideation varied according to students' general characteristics. In addition, school-life adjustment was negatively correlated with suicidal ideation, thereby highlighting students' ability to adjust as an important factor influencing their suicidal thinking.
