  • An LMI-based parameterization of all $\gamma$-suboptimal reduced-order unbiased $H_{\infty}$ filters is provided in terms of a free matrix, using the unbiasedness condition, bounded real lemma and the general solution of the basic LMI. Also, by sequentially solving the generalized eigenvalue minimization and basic LMI problem, the optimal filter coefficient matrix can be obtained with the best achievable performance.

  • This paper proposes a new fuzzy speed controller based on the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy method to achieve a robust speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). The proposed controller requires the information of the load torque, so the second-order load torque observer is used to estimate it. The LMI condition is derived for the existence of the proposed fuzzy speed controller, and the LMI parameterization to calculate the gain matrices of the controller is provided. It is proven that the augmented control system including the fuzzy speed controller and the load torque observer is exponentially stable. To evaluate the performance of the proposed fuzzy speed controller, the simulation and experimental results are presented under motor parameter and load torque variations. Finally, it is clearly verified that the proposed control method can be used to accurately control the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor.

  • Rational parameterization of curves and surfaces is one of the main topics in computer-aided geometric design because of their computational advantages. Pythagorean hodograph (PH) curves and Minkowski Pythagorean hodograph (MPH) curves have attracted many researcher's interest because they provide for rational representation of their offset curves in Euclidean space and Minkowski space, respectively. In [10], Kim presented the characterization of the PH curves in the Euclidean space and analyzed the relation between the class of PH curves and the class of rational curves. In this paper, we extend the characterization of PH curves in [10] into that of MPH curves in the general Minkowski space and consider some generalized MPH curves satisfying this characterization.

  • A sliding mode control method using the parameterization of both the hyperplane and the compensator for output feedback and reduced observer is presented for rotational inverted pendulums. This control strategy overcomes the problem of unattainable velocity state which is resulted from severe noise of analogue sense and constructs numerical algorithms designs of dynamic output feedback sliding mode hyperplane and controller. The result of the experiment shows the superior performance compared with the LQ controller and the robustness with respect to both tapping disturbances and certain initial conditions.

  • Due to indiscriminately received spam messages on information society, spam messages cause damages not only to person but also to our community. Nowadays a lot of spam filtering techniques, such as blocking characters, are studied actively. Most of these studies are content-based spam filtering technologies through machine learning.. Because of a spam message transmission techniques are being developed, spammers have to send spam messages using term spamming techniques. Spam messages tend to include number of nouns, using repeated words and inserting special characters between words in a sentence. In this paper, considering three features, SPSS statistical program were used in parameterization and we derive the equation. And then, based on this equation we measured the performance of classification of spam messages. The study compared with previous studies FP-rate in terms of further minimizing the cost of product was confirmed to show an excellent performance.

  • 본 논문에서는 단일광자방출 전산화단층촬영영상 (SPECT)을 이용하여 좌심실의 내.외벽의 운동을 분리하여 추적하는 방법을 제시한다. 좌심실의 운동은 크게 평행이동, 회전이동, 비강체 변형으로 나뉘어 분석된다. 운동 추적을 위해 사용된 역동적 변형 솔리드는 물체중심 변동 좌표계로써 특징점들의 모드형태벡터를 사용하고, 좌심실 역동성을 유한요소방법에 의해 시뮬레이션한다. 또한, 변형 모델에 대해 묵시적으로 표준화된 parameterization을 하지 않고, 의료영상으로부터 얻은 자료값을 직접 이용하기 위해 노드간 보간함수로써 3차원 가우시안 함수를 사용한다. 그리하여 보다 자연스러운 방식으로 연속적으로 변화하는 좌심실의 운동을 추적할 수 있다. 이러한 분리된 내.외벽 운동 분석은 운동 기능에 이상이 있는 심질환 분석을 보다 효과적으로 도울 수 있다.

Stabilizing Control Law of Underactuateted Spacecraft (작동기 수가 부족한 위성체의 자세안정화기법)

  • In this paper, attitude control laws are proposed for an underactuated spacecraft. The stabilization problem of the complete system including the kinematics as well as the dynamics of the spacecraft is addressed. The quaternion parameterization is used. The key idea is that the angular velocity of a uncontrolled axis is first regulated and then, the other states are regulated. Based on numerical simulations, it is conjectured that the closed-loop nonlinear system of a spacecraft with the proposed control laws is globally asymptotically stable. The control law for the stabilization problem around the origin as well as the command following problem are proposed. The numerical examples indicate that the stabilization of an underactuated asymmetric spacecraft can be achieved successfully.

Biogeochemical Model Comparison in Terms of Microplankton-Detritus (MPD) Parameterisation

  • Different model formulations in available models were compared with Microplankton-Detritus (MPB) model, and well documented FDM and ERSEM models were the candidate for these comparison. Different formulations in both candidate models were expressed in terms of MPD parameterization. Even though there are differences in the control of autotroph growth among models, it was found that some of the more important microplankton parameters expressed incomparable terms have broadly similar values in all the models. However, an important difference was proved to be the direct contribution of microheterotrophs to the Detritus compartment in FDM and ERSEM, whereas in MPD microplankton biomass passes to Detritus only by way of mesozooplankton grazing.

  • $\mu$ theory can handle the parametric uncertainty and produces more non-conservative controller than H$_{\infty}$ control theory. However an existing solution of the theory, D-K iteration, creates a controller of huge order and cannot handle the real or mixed real-complex perturbation sets. In this paper, we use genetic algorithms to solve these problems of the D-K iteration method. The Youla parameterization is used to obtain all stabilizing controllers and the genetic algorithms determines the values of the state feedback gain, the observer gain, and Q parameter to minimize $\mu$, the structured singular value, of given system. From an example, we show that this method produces lower order controller which controls a real parameter-perturbed plant than D-K iteration method.

  • The NURBS surfaces are widely employed for exchanging geometric models between different CAD/CAE systems. However if the input NURBS surfaces are poorly parameterized, most surface meshing algorithms may fail or the constructed meshes can be ill-conditioned. In this paper presents a new method is presented that can generate well conditioned meshes even on poorly parameterized NURBS surfaces by regenerating NURBS surfaces. To begin with, adequate Points are sample on original poorly parameterized surfaces and new surfaces are created by interpolating these points. And then. mesh generation is performed on new surfaces. With this method, models with poorly parameterized NURBS surfaces can be meshed successfully.
