병목공정 자원할당 방식에 따른 강교 제작공장 생산성 차이 분석 (Analysis of Productivity Differences in Steel Bridge Manufacturing Plants According to Resource Allocation Methods for the Bottleneck)

  • 본 연구에서는 제조업 분야에서 보편적으로 활용되어 온 제약이론을 바탕으로 강교 제작공장의 생산성을 향상시키기 위한 자원할당 방법론을 제안한다. 이를 위해 도장 공정을 병목공정으로 정의한 후, 공정 전용 자원할당(OSRA), 제품 전용 자원할당(PSRA), 범용 자원할당(GRA) 등 3가지의 자원할당 방법론을 개발하였다. 강교 공급사슬 시뮬레이션 모델을 활용한 성능평가 실험 결과, GRA 방법론이 재공재고수(NWIP)와 대기시간(WT) 측면에서 가장 우수한 성능을 보였다. 특히, 강교 제작공장의 부하와 부하 변동성이 증가할수록 다른 두 전용 자원할당 방식과의 성능 격차는 더욱 커졌다. 평균적으로 GRA는 NWIP과 WT를 OSRA 대비 36.2%, 34.6%, PSRA 대비 71.0%, 70.4% 감소시켰다. 재공재고수와 대기시간의 감소는 병목현상의 완화를 의미하며, 이는 결국 강교 제작공장의 생산성이 향상되었음을 의미한다.

조선소 근로자의 직종과 혈청 암배아성 항원 농도와의 관련성 (A Relationship between Serum Carcinoembryonic Antigen Concentrations and Job Titles of a Shipyard Workers)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to clarify the association between serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and type of work in the shipbuilding industry. Methods: 1,072 final study subjects were admitted to a general hospital from April through July 2010 for the purpose of medical examination. Data on general characteristics such as age, smoking history, alcohol history and exercise habits was gathered through structured self-administered questionnaires. Information on job factors was collected from a medical examination, by interview and through company personnel data. Serum CEA levels were measured after eight hours' fasting and were analyzed by a radioimmunoassay. Results: On univariate analysis, the mean serum CEA level was significantly higher among married (p=0.02), older age (p<0.01), longer work time (p<0.01), smokers (p<0.01), lower education (p<0.01), and indirect and direct exposure groups (p<0.01). On multiple regression analysis, serum CEA level was influenced by smoking (p=0.001), duration of work (p=0.019), and direct exposure group (p<0.001). However, among the direct exposure group, serum CEA level was not significantly different between welding, mounting, electro-device constructive work, grinding and cleaning, and painting. Conclusions: The goal of this research was to determine if there were differences between serum CEA levels according to occupational role among shipyard workers. The direct exposure group of shipyard workers had a relatively higher level of serum CEA than did the indirect exposure group and office workers, most likely due to occupational exposure.

복합 유기용제 취급 근로자의 혈액 및 뇨검사 결과 분석 (Hematologic Findings & Urinalysis of Workers Exposed to Mixed Organic Solvents)

  • To evaluate the effects on health by exposure to mixed organic solvents, the author analyzed some labortory findings of blood (hemoglobin, hematocrit RBC, WBC, SGOT, SGPT) and urine (protein, blood, sugar) that were obtained from 722 workers (male:446, female:276) who worked in plywood, painting and shoes factories in Pusan area from January to December, 1990. The result were as follows ; 1. The mean values of each hematologic findings were all within normal limit but there were significant differences at hematocrit, RBC, WBC, SGOT in male and at WBC, SGPT in female at the comparison of the mean values and the distribution according to the normal criteria by type of work. 2. There were no differences in urinalysis(protein, blood, sugar) by type of work. 3. In stepwise multiple regression, analysis of hematologic findings on age, working duration and type of work, regression coefficients on age and type of work were relatively high in male and female sub1, respectively. As a result of this study, it is considered that the measurement of WBC with morphology is significant in hematologic findings and instead of spot urine and urinstix, 24 hours urine and quantitative analysis is required in urinalysis in screening test for healthy status of workers who deal with the organic solvents.

옵아트 기법을 응용한 회화에 관한 연구 (A Study On The Painting Applying With Optical Art)

  • 나의 작품 전개는 50년대 말과 60년대 초에 걸쳐 전개되기 시작한 옵아트(Optical Art)에서 나타나는 시각전 달로서의 조형요소들-점, 선, 면, 부피와 입체, 시간 속의 운동, 공간-에 대한 것들을 바탕으로 시작했다. 나의 작품소재는 산, 나무, 꽃 등의 주변적 풍경을 표현하였다. 그리거나 지우거나, 반복된 점으로 채우거나 겹치거나, 원근감을 무시하여 완성했다. 모든 예술 활동은 철저히 인간적가치 위에 바탕을 두어 궁극적으로 인간을 위한 것으로 작용해야 한다. 점에서 시작되어 반복되는 점은 의도한 스케치 또는 전혀 의도하지 않은 또 다른 조형세계로 안내한다. 그것이 의도한 것이든 의도하지 않은 것이든 모든 감상자들에게 풍부하고 다양한 보는 즐거움을 주는데 충분하다고 느낀다. 옵아트 기법을 응용한 작업은 원근감의 무시와 그동안 익숙하고 정직한 보여지는 색채에서 벗어나 다양한 색채를 사용하였다. 일직선상에서의 대상물 표현에 익숙한 원근법에서 느끼는 감정보다는 더 감동을 주고자 의도하였다. 그러므로, 우리의 작품이 감상자에게도 기쁨과 만족을 주었으면 좋겠다.

  • Higher productivity and less cost during the manufacturing process of ships are required to maintain international competitiveness of modern shipbuilding industries. The integrated hull/ outfitting/ painting scheduling(IHOP) process is a final point, where logistics are finally being integrated and upcoming schedules are made. Therefore, more profits are expected from IHOP by effective management. In this thesis, IHOP is proposed in order to solve how to choose block erection date with IHOP scheduling logic. The result of IHOP scheduling is highly advised to utilize fabrication, outfitting shops. A standardized operation and load of resource will eventually be applied in long-term time span point of view for this will make it easy to enable capacity planning and workforce planning. It is also expected to eliminate inefficiency in overtime work and efficiently utilize manpower in short-term.

연삭작업시 작업자세와 작업시간에 따른 근전도 분석에 관한 연구 (An EMG Analysis Study of Grinding Work by Posture and Working Time)

  • Posture of the upper limbs in field works is known to be an important risk factor associated with CTD(Cumulative Trauma Disorders). In particular, uncomfortable posture and highly repetitive works in shipbuilding industry(for instance, sand blasting, grinding and blast painting, etc) made workers exposed to a great risk of injuries. The purpose of this paper is to analyze recruitment pattern of the muscles according to posture(joint angle displacement) during grinding. In this study, EMG signals of pectoralis major, latissimus dorsi, and posterior deltoid muscle were measured and analyzed from FlexComp EMG solution. And subjective ratings of perceived exertion were made using Borg's CR-10 rating scale.

  • The bushing for high voltage and large and power should endure weight of itself and force of pushing from contact with circuit breaker. Like this, epoxy mold bushing has to be strong without fault. However, the external circumstances and internal factors was caused by partial discharge, flashover and dielectric breakdown. Therefore, to remove external factor of defect and to prevent the internal cracks and cavity generated from the contraction on interface of Cu-Epoxy, we should form semi-conductive layer on Cu bar by carbon. Then, the PD properties and the insulation qualities of epoxy mold type bushing was able to improved by roles of cushions for the direction of diameter and by effects fo natural sliding like as separated from conductor for the direction of length. So, in this work, we could prove the method of semi-conductive layer in making the long conductor.

  • For coping with various ship types easily, welding automation using CAD/CAM is demanded and and developed. In this paper we propose a dedicated CAM system which generates MACRO files to control robot manipulators. The paper contains CAD interface, virtual simulation, macro generation and job schedulling. At first, it defines and extracts weldline from CAD data, and generates proper MACRO programs. And it obtains optimum job schedules. This system removes the manual work, and consequently reduces the overall lead time. And it reduces costs and time for developing robot welding programs. This can be expanded to virtual factory simulation technology. Moreover, it is possible to apply this system for automation of Cutting and Painting

The Effects of Activities and Working Conditions on Fire Accidents on Construction Sites

  • Accidents on construction sites involving fires do not occur as often as accidents involving falls from height or collapses. However, once a fire accident occurs, there is a high risk of a large number of casualties. Fire on construction sites is affected by working conditions and the types of activities the construction workers are engaged in at the sites. This study aims to identify activities and working conditions at construction sites that are vulnerable to fire, and analyse how they correlate with each other and how they affect the causes and consequences of fire accidents at construction sties. I analysed 40 fire accident reports and listed the situations vulnerable to fire at construction sites considering direct causes, activities, and working conditions. The most dangerous combination of fire hazards can be the heating devices used during rest/sleep in the office/cabin/storage during cold weather. The next most hazardous combination can be sparks arising from painting, waterproofing, insulation, plumbing, or welding/melting work in an underground or confined space.

희석조건과 카슈도막의 건조성 (Drying Properties of Cashew Film by Thinning Conditions)

  • This work was done to investigate problems of cashew coating in a wooden-art industry such as ritual vessels and to improve a curing property of cashew film. The main problem in the cashew coating industry was a small-scale business, insufficiency of facilities, lack of knowledge about cashew resin and painting, and lack of a technology of productivity improvement by accelerated drying time of cashew film. In present, cashew coating for ritual vessels mostly used the petroleum as a thinner. The time of set to touch of cashew film thinning with petroleum on glass plates was increased with the increasement of the thinning proportion, but retarded from 3 to 11 times compared to that of an exclusive thinner according to thinning level. The addition of 20% aceton to petroleum contributed to the high reduction rate up to about 60% at the thinning level of 100%, which was effective to accelerate the drying time of cashew film. Even though only the petroleum or the petroleum-aceton(20%) mixture was used as a thinner, it did not exhibit any distinguishable differences in crack and appearance of cashew-film coated on Frexinus rhynchophylla after 5 cycles of soak under the vacuum-drying treatment.
