  • An authentication between a user's terminal and a Access Control Router (ACR) is preceded so that a user receives secure WiBro services. Otherwise they can be exposed from many attack risks. So the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) constituted a mechanism of the mutual authentication for WiBro service. In mechanism a user executes the mutual authentication between a Portable Equipment (PE) and the ACR by using Portable Internet Subscriber Identity Module (PISIM). But this standard needs many message to authenticate the ACR and the users cann't use wireless Internet service. Therefore in this paper we propose the key agreement protocol between the PSS and the ACR to authenticate the PSS to ACR. At this time Power Support Device (PSD) fer supporting the calculated quantity of the PSS is participated in the key agreement protocol. The ACR sends a generated key to Key Authentication Server (KAS) via secure IPsec tunnel and then it preserves the identity of the PSS and the value of key after it enciphered them. In conclusion we analyze the security and efficiency of the proposed protocol.

이 표준 프로토콜은 PISIM(Portable Internet Subscriber Identity Module)을 이용하여 PE(Portable Equipment)와 ACR 간에 상호 인증을 수행한다.

  • A through diaphragm is often used to ensure their stiffness for moment-resisting connections using rectangular steel-tube column and H-shaped beam. The through-diaphragm connections, however, have some difficulties for their applicabilities to the field due to the complexity of the fabrication and construction processes. This study thus proposes a new modular system of steel structures assembled only using bolts without welding, by bringing a connection module composed of rectangular steel-tube column, H-shaped beam and oneway bolt onto the site. An experimental study to evaluate the seismic performance of the proposed connection details based on the new modular system is then conducted. The length and type of the inner reinforcement plate are considered as the primary design parameters, and the strength, stiffness, ductility and energy dissipation capability of the new connections are experimentally analyzed by comparison to those of conventional through diaphragm connections.

  • A control program of an engine control module (ECM) was developed, and its control performance was verified on a 750Ps marine diesel engine. The control method was designed for an engine rotational speed control system. For ECM hardware, the commercial rapid control prototype (RCP) ECM was used. The programming tool for control algorithm development was the MatLab/Simulink. The main control algorithm assembled many control models as engine cranking, run, and stall. Each model has sub-models to input/output control signals. The target engine speed was input signal from a speed control lever, and control output signal of the ECM was sent to the unit-injectors for fuel injection. The engine test was performed under various conditions of engine rotational speeds and dynamometer loads. The test results show that the control function of the ECM is suitable for electrical marine diesel engines.

  • In order to synthesis of the materials and modulus for floor impact sound reduction, we investigated effect on dynamic elastic modulus of floor impact sound reduction materials and module made by inorganic porous materials, EVA chips and so on. We find correlation property between dynamic elastic modulus and light-weight impact noise. And we measured the dynamic elastic modulus of materials and module for floor impact sound reduction. And we predicted reduction efficiency on floor Impact Noise of those. The dynamic elastic modulus is reduced by increase of filler contents and filler species. When the materials for floor impact sound reduction is consisted of l5wt% EVA Chip and l5wt% inorganic porous materials, its dynamic elastic material is the lowest. And when the module is consisted of PE (upper side), PS embossing board(lower side) and the materials for floor impact sound reduction(middle), its dynamic elastic material is the lowest.

  • In this paper, we report design, fabrication and characterization of the WBRM (Wide Band Receiver Module) for LADAR (LAser Detection And Ranging) application. The WBRM has been designed and fabricated using self-made APD (Avalanche Photodiode) and TIA (Trans-impedance Amplifier). The APD and TIA chips have been integrated on 12-pin TO8 header using self-made ceramic submount and circuit. The WBRM module showed 450 ps of rise time, and corresponding 780 MHz bandwidth. Furthermore, it showed very low output noise less than 0.8 mV, and higher SNR than 15 for 150 nW of MDS(Minimum Detectable Signal). To the author's knowledge, this is the best performance of an optical receiver module for LIDAR fabricated by 200 um InGaAs APD.

  • A 10 Gb/s limiting amplifier IC with the emitter area of $1.5{\times}10{\mu}m^2$ for optical transmission system was designed and fabricated with a AIGaAs/GaAs HBTs technology. In this stud)', we evaluated fine pitch bump using WL-CSP (Wafer Level-Chip Scale Packaging) instead of conventional wire bonding for interconnection. For this we developed WL-CSP process and formed fine pitch solder bump with the $40{\mu}m$ diameter and $100{\mu}m$ pitch on bonding pad. To study the effect of WL-CSP, electrical performance was measured and analyzed in wafer and package module using WL-CSP. In a package module, clear and wide eye diagram openings were observed and the riselfall times were about 100ps, and the output" oltage swing was limited to $600mV_{p-p}$ with input voltage ranging from 50 to 500m V. The Small signal gains in wafer and package module were 15.56dB and 14.99dB respectively. It was found that the difference of small signal gain in wafer and package module was less then 0.57dB up to 10GHz and the characteristics of return loss was improved by 5dB in package module. This is due to the short interconnection length by WL-CSP. So, WL-CSP process can be used for millimeter wave GaAs MMIC with the fine pitch pad.

  • The digital transmission system entered in a RF region as digital system use IC chips of the speeder edge rate and clock speed nowadays. Optical path really was used in order to obtain the more capacity. In this paper, we described importance of electrical interconnect to get the signal integrity in optical module by simulation and experiment. 12 channel${\times}$2.5 G/ps optical parallel transmitter modules were manufactured by two different method ; access lines with microstrip and stripline type. We have clearly shown that the optical module adopting microstrip type with S$\sub$11/ $\geq$ -10 dB presents distortion but the optical module adopting stripline type with S$\sub$11/ $\leq$ : 15 dB obtains eye opening in 2.5 Gbis optical eye pattern response.

  • This paper proposes an open-loop clock recovery circuit (CRC) using two high-Q dielectric resonator (DR) filters for 39.8 Gb/s and 42.8 Gb/s dual-mode operation. The DR filters are fabricated to obtain high Q-values of approximately 950 at the 40 GHz band and to suppress spurious resonant modes up to 45 GHz. The CRC is implemented in a compact module by integrating the DR filters with other circuits in the CRC. The peak-to-peak and RMS jitter values of the clock signals recovered from 39.8 Gb/s and 42.8 Gb/s pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) data with a word length of $2^{31}-1$ are less than 2.0 ps and 0.3 ps, respectively. The peak-to-peak amplitudes of the recovered clocks are quite stable and within the range of 2.5 V to 2.7 V, even when the input data signals vary from 150 mV to 500 mV. Error-free operation of the 40 Gb/s-class optical receiver with the dual-mode CRC is confirmed at both 39.8 Gb/s and 42.8 Gb/s data rates.
