저온 졸-겔 법을 이용한 투명 하드코팅 필름용 ZrO2/TiO2/Organosilane 복합체 연구 (ZrO2/TiO2/Organosilane Hybrid Composites via Low Temperature Sol-Gel Process for Hard and Transparent Coating)

  • 본 연구에서는 투명도와 기계적 특성을 향상시키기 위해 저온 공정의 졸-겔 법을 이용하여 하이브리드 복합체의 코팅 박막을 제조하였다. 하이브리드 복합체로는 $ZrO_2/TiO_2/organosilane$을 사용하였으며, 그 중 organosilane은 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate을 사용하였고 이는 저온 공정의 광경화 반응을 위해 도입되었다. 다양한 조성비로 합성된 복합체를 폴리 카보네이트 기판 위에 저온 공정의 졸-겔 법을 이용하여 광경화와 열처리 공정을 거처 코팅 박막을 제조하였고 이 코팅 박막의 광학 특성 및 기계적 강도를 확인하였다. 코팅 박막은 가시광선 영역에서 97.5 % 이상의 투과도를 가짐을 확인하였고 기계적 강도는 9H 이상의 연필 경도를 가진 것을 확인하였다. 특히 ZTS-2-1 코팅 박막의 나노 압입 경도는 1.14 GPa로 가장 높게 측정되었다.

The Bisphenol A: A Modulator of Pregnancy in Rats

  • Bisphenol A is used in the manufacture of epoxy, polycarbonate, and corrosion-resistant unsaturated polyester-styrene resins required for food packaging materials in industrial processing. Some reports indicated the possibility of harmful effects on rats. In this study was used a method for the determination of bisphenol A in blood according to the OSHA High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) guideline. The method involved blood extraction using methylene chloride. And it was evaluated developmental and teratogenic effects in pregnant rats and second generation. The results obtained were as follows. There was a significant increase in the body weights and treated groups F1 female in liver, spleen, kidney, but according to dose-response. F1 female rat's relative body weight and absolute body weight are not different. There was a significant increase liver, spleen, kidney organ weight and reproductive organ weight epididymis, prostate gland in F1 male rats. There was a proestrous in pregnant rat, group 200 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg, 2000 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg, 20,000 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg. The effect on rat treated with bisphenol A decrease organ weight and reproductive organ weight. Identification and quantitation were performed with using HPLC C18 column and using at retention time 5.5 min. The results of the detection of bisphenol A were at 20,000 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg in average 1 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml, 200 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg average in 0.9 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml blood samples. From those results, it could be concluded that the effects of pregnant rat and second generation(F1) by bisphenol A treatment during lactational period were estrogenic and bisphenol A was remained in serum at low level.

실내외 압력 차에 따른 단창과 이중창의 틈새로 침투된 간접흡연의 입자 크기 분포 특성 (Characterization of Particle Size Distribution of Infiltrated Secondhand Smoke through the Gap in a Single Glazed and a Secondary Glazed Window by Indoor and Outdoor Pressure Differences)

  • Objectives: Outdoor tobacco smoke can penetrate into the indoor environment through cracks in the building envelope. This study aimed to characterize the particle size distribution of infiltrated secondhand smoke (SHS) through the gap in a single glazed and a secondary glazed window according to pressure differences in a chamber. Methods: Two polyvinyl chloride sliding windows were evaluated for infiltration, one with a glazed window and the other with a secondary glazed window. Each window was mounted and sealed in a polycarbonate chamber. The air in the chamber was discharged to the outside to establish pressure differences in the chamber (${\Delta}P$). Outdoor smoking sources were simulated at a one-meter distance from the window side of the chamber. The particle size distribution of the infiltrated SHS was measured in the chamber using a portable aerosol spectrometer. The particle size distribution of SHS inside the chamber was normalized by the outdoor peak for fine particles. Results: The particle size distribution of SHS inside the chamber was similar regardless of window type and ${\Delta}P$. It peaked at $0.2-0.3{\mu}m$. Increases in particulate matter (PM) concentrations from SHS infiltration were higher with the glazed window than with the secondary glazed window. PM concentrations of less than $1{\mu}m$ increased as ${\Delta}P$ was increased inside the chamber. Conclusions: The majority of infiltrated SHS particles through window gap was $0.2-0.3{\mu}m$ in size. Outdoor SHS particles infiltrated more with a glazed window than with a secondary glazed window. Particle sizes of less than $1{\mu}m$ were associated with ${\Delta}P$. These findings can be a reference for further research on the measurement of infiltrated SHS in buildings.

유-무기 하이브리드 코팅 용액을 이용한 고굴절 하드코팅 막의 제조 (Preparation of Hard Coating Films with High Refractive Index using Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Coating Solutions)

  • 출발물질인 TTIP로부터 이산화티탄 졸을 합성하여 무기물로 사용하고 유기물로서 실란커플링제인 methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (MPTMS), aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APS), glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane (GPTMS), vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES)을 2종 혹은 3종씩 복합 사용하여 유-무기 하이브리드 코팅 용액을 제조하였다. 그 후 코팅 용액을 기재인 PC시트 위에 스핀 코팅시키고, 열경화 시켜 하드코팅 막을 제조하였다. 2종 실란커플링제를 혼합하여 제조된 코팅 막들은 기재와의 부착력과 연필경도가 우수하지 못했으나, 3종 실란커플링제를 혼합하여 제조한 코팅 막은 2H~4H의 향상된 연필경도와 5B의 우수한 부착력을 나타내었다. 이산화티탄 졸의 첨가량이 20 g인 코팅 막의 굴절률은 550 nm에서 1.56을 나타내었으나 이산화티탄 졸의 첨가량을 20 g에서 30 g으로 증가시킨 경우, 코팅 막의 굴절률이 1.63으로 향상되었다.

  • Due to the depletion of fossil oil and the increasing oil price, bio-plastic is currently topical. Bio-based plastics are synthesized from plant resources, unlike conventional petroleum-based counterparts. Therefore, the former minimizes global warming and reduces carbon dioxide emission. Fossil polycarbonate (PC)has good mechanical and optical properties, but its synthesis requires bisphenol-A and phosgene gas, which are toxic to humans. To address these problems, the fused deposition 3D printing process (hereafter, FDM) is studied using environmentally-friendly and high-strength bio-based PC. A comparisonof the environmental impact and tensile strength of fossil PC versus bio-based PC is presented herein, demonstrating that bio-based PC is more environmentally-friendly with higher tensile strength than fossil PC. The advantages of bio-based PC are applied in the FDM process for the fabrication of environmentally-friendly baby toys.

  • 비결정성인 PC와 결정성인 PET를 블렌드하여 PC/PET합금을 제조하는데 있어서 PC 및 PET와 혼화성이 우수한 methylmethacrylate와 butadiene, 그리고 내충격성이 우수한 polystyrene의 block unite를 갖는 methylmethacrylate-butadiane-styrene(MBS) 공중합체를 상용화제로 사용함으로써 강인성과 내충격강도가 우수하고 PC의 함량을 15parts 이상 사용하여도 혼화성이 우수한 PC/PET 합금을 얻었다 열적 특성으로 PC/PET에 MBS를 첨가하여 얻은 alloy에 대한 PC와 PET의 Tg차이가 $60^{\circ}C$ 정도로 좁아지고 Tcc도 $150^{\circ}C$로 낮아짐으로써 혼화성이 향상되었으며 또한 PC의 함량이 15parts 이상으로 증가하여도 고속충격강도가 우수하였고 Morphology에서도 입자구조가 조밀하고 균일하게 분포되어 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Genomic Alteration of Bisphenol A Treatment in the Testis of Mice

  • Bisphenol A (BPA) is commonly used in the production of pharmaceutical, industrial, and housing epoxy, as well as polycarbonate plastics. Owing to its extensive use, BPA can contaminate the environment either directly or through derivatives of these products. BPA has been classified as an endocrine disruptor chemicals (EDCs), and the primary toxicity of these EDCs in males involves the induction of reproductive system abnormality. First, in order to evaluate the direct effects on the Y chromosome associated with reproduction, we evaluated Y chromosome abnormalities using a Y chromosome microdeletion detection kit. However, we detected no Yq abnormality as the result of BPA exposure. Secondly, we performed high-density oligonucleotide array-based comparative genome hybridization (CGH) to assess genomic alteration as a component of our toxicity assessment. The results of our data analysis revealed some changes in copy number. Seven observed features were gains or losses in chromosomal DNA (P-value<1.0e-5, average log2 ratio>0.2). Interestingly, 21 probes of chr7:7312289-10272836 (qA1-qA2 in cytoband) were a commonly observed amplification (P-value 3.69e-10). Another region, chr14:4551029-10397399, was also commonly amplified (P-value 2.93e-12, average of log2 ratios in segment>0.3786). These regions include many genes associated with pheromone response, transcription, and signal transduction using ArrayToKegg software. These results help us to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the reproductive effects induced by BPA.

A Study on the Goal Setting Method for Increasing the Holed Probability in Slope Putting Stroke on an Artificial Putting Surface

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a goal setting method for increasing the probability of a holed in a side inclined putting stroke. Method: Three-dimensional video data was recorded at a frequency of 120 hz per second after synchronizing 19 infrared motion capture systems (Qualisys, Gothenburg, Sweden). Putting green used a polycarbonate plate ($1.2{\times}2.4{\times}0.01meter$) with coefficient of friction (${\mu}=0.062$) and a real curve of the actual hole. Results: The velocity ratio between the club and the ball was 1:1.6 under various ball speed conditions in this study. The overall position of the break is 1 m to 1.4 m from the point where the ball leaves. If there is a slope, the ball follows the target line by the straightening force, and when it reaches 1 m position, the straightening force decreases by 30~50% and reaches to the deviation (break) point which is severely influenced by the slope. From here, the ball is aimed in a direction other than the target, and the size is affected by the slope. Conclusion: If there is a side slope, the ball moves away from the straight line, and the larger the slope, the closer the break point is to the starting point of the ball. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the degree of departure according to the slope carefully, and it is preferable that the slower the speed is, the more the influence of the slope becomes. It is preferable to use the center of the hole as a reference when calculating the departure.

서비스직 근로자들의 영수증 접촉 정도에 따른 비스페놀A 노출량 조사 (Exposure to Bisphenol A through Contact with Thermal Receipts among Service Industry Workers)

  • Objectives: Bisphenol A, or BPA, is a chemical component in polycarbonate plastic with which many people come into contact every day. A great deal of controversy has arisen over its safety since this material, which is known to disrupt the human endocrine system and cause neurological difficulties and cancer, is commonplace in beverage containers, food can liners, and receipt paper rolls. In this study, we determined the levels of exposure to BPA of workers in the service industry depending on the number of receipts contacted. Methods: The participants were 16 male and 18 female workers employed in the service industry. Using a questionnaire, we investigated general and job characteristics. Urine samples were collected and analyzed by the LC-MS/MS technique after enzymatic hydrolysis and solid phase extraction (SPE). Results: The geometric mean (GM) concentration of urinary BPA from all subjects was 1.02 ng/ml. Workers were exposed significantly to more BPA according to the number of receipts they contacted, their work experience, and working hours per day. The BPA concentration of those who touched more than 100 receipts per day was 3.09 ng/ml, while that of the other participants was 0.61 ng/ml. It was shown that wearing gloves can protect from BPA exposure. Conclusion: We determined the urinary BPA concentrations of workers in service industry and found that the contact with receipts could increase the BPA exposure of service workers.

  • 최근 생체모사 융모는 검체검사 및 신약개발 등의 분야에서 비용 및 윤리적 문제를 해결하기 위한 대안으로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 생체모사 융모구조 3 차원 하이드로젤 지지체의 효과적인 제작을 위한 고분자 몰드의 가공에 관한 내용을 다루고 있다. 고분자 몰드 제작을 위하여 레이저 가공 및 마이크로 드릴링 가공 프로세스를 적용한 실험이 수행되었다. 가공 프로세스 최적화를 위하여 다양한 조건에서 레이저 가공 및 마이크로 드릴링 실험을 진행하였으며, 이 때 폴리카보네이트(poly-carbonate) 고분자 몰드가 사용되었다. 전자주사현미경 및 광학현미경 관측을 통하여 고분자 몰드 및 생체모사 융모 형상을 관측하였다. 실험결과 생체모사 융모는 레이저 가공 및 마이크로 드릴링을 적용한 경우 모두 적절한 형상을 보이는 것으로 확인되었다.
