This study analyzed the aspect of bed change according to the stable channel design on the Wonju River to quantitatively evaluate habitat suitability (HS). According to the result of evaluating stable channel of object section in the Wonju River, 17 sections among total 20 sections were stable and 3 sections were unstable. Physical disturbance improvement evaluation (PDIE) was the range average showed good disturbance condition with a range average of 112.17 points. Habitat suitability index of Zacco Koreanus, the most dominant species of the Wonju River, was used for analysis of physical habitat for fish. According to the physical habitat analysis result, HS was 0.16 and weighted usable area (WUA) was $347.68m^2$. The methods of improving/introducing/removing structures and dredging stream channel were used for stable channel design of unstable channel, and analyzed PDIE according to the aspect of bed change and changes in habitat suitability. Stable channel design was possible in 19 sections in times of structures improvement/introduction/removal, and PDIE was 117.53 points, HS was 0.14 points, and WUA was $313.37m^2$. Stable channel design was possible in all 20 sections when dredging the stream channel. PDIE was 116.50 points, HS was 0.16, and WUA was $332.14m^2$. Therefore, this study obtained channel design measures that can improve physical soundness and stability of the Wonju River, and it was analyzed that it will have no impact on changes of physical disturbance and physical habitat. Furthermore, this study analyzed velocity and depth of each section and appearance frequency of riffle and pool to analyze correlation between physical disturbance and physical habitat. According to the analysis result, it was identified that the analysis of riffle and pool showed similar result as the evaluation result of physical habitat.

This paper discusses electrical insulation characteristics at cryogenic temperature, especially focusing on partial discharge (PD) inception characteristics, for high temperature superconducting cables. In liquid nitrogen (L$N_2$) / polypropylene (PP) laminated paper composite insulation system, PD inception strength (PDIE) was evaluated in terms of volume effect and V-t characteristics. Different kinds of butt gap condition were applied in the experiments, using parallel plane and coaxial cylindrical cable samples. Experimental results revealed that the volume effect on PDIE could be evaluated by the statistical stressed liquid volume (SSLV) taking account the discharge probability not only in the butt gap but also in the other thin layers between PP laminated papers. Furthermore, the indices n of V-t characteristics at PD inception were estimated to be 80∼110, irrespective of the butt gap condition.

In addition to the rapid changes in the times caused by the pandemic, the revision of the new curriculum coincides with the change in the proportion of the three elements of learners, society, and subjects that make up the curriculum. In particular, along with the proportion of 'social' in the curriculum, the scope of the word 'educational community' has increased, and the allowable range of curriculum restructuring centered on it has expanded. In order for the intended direction of education to be properly established in the new curriculum, various educational method studies are needed to cultivate newly emerged competencies and literacy. In this study, after selecting the contents and goals of the convergence curriculum based on various criteria for subject selection, the data science program was designed by reconstructing Living Lab's PDIE methodology. As an evaluation factor for this, we tried to analyze the effectiveness of 'creativity', 'problem-solving ability', 'communication ability', 'collaboration ability' among future competencies emphasized in the curriculum. As a result of the study, it was effective in improving creative and communication skills, and this study focuses on verifying the effectiveness of School Living Lab, suggesting the necessity of post-research that expands the application space of research and diversifies the role of educational community subjects.
The purpose of this paper is to improve scientific attitude and interest of the elementary school students by using STEAM-based robots in education. In this work, we analyzed PDIE model that describes methodology for generating STEAM integrated education materials and then we also developed teaching materials utilizing STEAM-based robots. The effect of the STEM-based robots in education was analyzed through a test class which demonstrated the robots indeed help improving scientific attitude and interest of students. During the class, individual knowledge and experience of the students were integrated into the STEAM-based robots which then provide customized help for each student so that they have better understanding and interest in science, technology, and engineering field.
In recent years, space planning ability using 3D sketch software is required in the working field of interior design. However, vocational high school do not respond appropriately to changes in the industry, because the class of vocational high school consists of hands-on practical classes and 2D CAD based classes. There is a shortage of 3D sketch software-based instruction programs that can improve students' spatial planning skills. Therefore, this study is to develop instruction program using 3D sketch software for 'Planning for Residential Space' unit of NCS-based on interior design subject and to find out the effect on students' academic achievement by applying to vocational high school class. The 3d sketch software based instructional program developed in this study was developed through four stages of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation according to the PDIE model process. The experimental design model used nonequivalent group posttest-only design in this study. Experiments were conducted on vocational high school students in construction and 9 hours of interior design subjects were applied. After the experiments, students were tested for academic achievement in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor areas. As a result, the instruction program using the 3d sketch program developed in this study was found to be more effective in improving students' academic achievement than existing manual instruction program in both cognitive, affective, and psychomotor areas.

The purpose of this study is to develop and apply a Design Thinking-based Maker education program utilizing Arduino for middle school students. The study progress was made in four stages of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation according to the PDIE model. In this study, experts were verified for validity and pre-applied to students to improve the maker education program developed based on literature review. Then, it was applied to middle school club classes to check the effects through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. In addition, the development of the program was completed by supplementing the improvements found in the course. The results of this study are as follows. First, the topics of the maker education program that can be used in middle schools were selected in consideration of the analysis of the 2015 revised curriculum, methods to using the Arduino, and social interest. Second, the program developed based on the selected topic consists of 4 classes of maker basic learning and 16 classes of design thinking-based maker activities. Third, the developed maker education program had a significant effect in improving STEAM literacy of middle school students, but did not have any significant effect in the interest in technology and orientation towards an engineering career. Fourth, learners were interested in the activities of designing and freely making by themselves, and they positively evaluated the experience of realizing the physical computing with Arduino. In addition, they practiced the spirit of a maker, such as autonomously collecting data and sharing them with colleagues, etc. while acting as a maker.

The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM program for teaching climate change through CLAMP (Climate-Leaf Analysis Multivariate Program) paleoclimate inquiry in connection with high school 'Integrated Science' subject. In order to do so, we analyzed the 2015 revised national curriculum and science textbook in terms of the PDIE instructional design model, and developed the teaching-learning materials for 10 class hours through expert panel discussion and pilot test. According to the STEAM class procedure, in the situation presentation stage, the fossil leaves were collected from the dicotyledon plants near school, and the LMA (Leaf Margin Analysis) climate inquiry activity. was presented as the learning goal. During the creative design stage, students were taught about geology and leaf fossils in the study region, and CLAMP input data (31 characteristics of morphotype and leaf architectural of fossil leaves) were given. In the emotional experience and new challenge stage, we collected leaf fossils for outdoor learning, explored paleoclimate with CLAMP method, and promoted climatic literacy in the process of discussing tendencies and causes of Cenozoic's climate change. The validity of the development program was assessed (CVI .84) as being suitable for development purpose in all items through the process of establishing reliability among expert panel. In order to apply the program to the high school, a pilot test was conducted to supplement the discrepancies and to review the suitability. The satisfaction rate of the participants was 4.48, and the program was complemented with their opinions. This study will enable high school students to have practical knowledge and reacting volition for climate change, and contribute to fostering students' climate literacy.
Typhoons are representative oceanic and atmospheric phenomena that cause interactions within the Earth's system with diverse influences. In recent decades, the typhoons have tended to strengthen due to rapidly changing climate. The 2022 revised science curriculum emphasizes the importance of teaching-learning activities using advanced science and technology to cultivate digital literacy as a citizen of the future society. Therefore, it is necessary to solve the temporal and spatial limitations of textbook illustrations and to develop effective instructional materials using global-scale big data covered in the field of earth science. In this study, according to the procedure of the PDIE (Preparation, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model, the inquiry activity data was developed to visualize the track of the typhoon using the image data of GK-2A. In the preparatory stage, the 2015 and 2022 revised curriculum and the contents of the inquiry activities of the current textbooks were analyzed. In the development stage, inquiry activities were organized into a series of processes that can collect, process, visualize, and analyze observational data, and a GUI (Graphic User Interface)-based visualization program that can derive results with a simple operation was created. In the implementation and evaluation stage, classes were conducted with students, and classes using code and GUI programs were conducted respectively to compare the characteristics of each activity and confirm its applicability in the school field. The class materials presented in this study enable exploratory activities using actual observation data without professional programming knowledge which is expected to contribute to students' understanding and digital literacy in the field of earth science.

This study aims to enhance learners' creative and integrative thinking through the use of a practical music education program, facilitating high-quality artistic activities and the integration of various disciplines. To achieve this, a practical music education program incorporating the PDIE model was designed, and the content validity of the developed program was verified. Through this process, We have researched and described methodologies for multidisciplinary research that can be applied in practical music education. This paper focuses on the fourth session of the study, which deals with the creative and integrative education of practical music and mathematics. The mathematical theory of interest in this research is the Fibonacci sequence, fundamental to the golden ratio in art. The goal is to enable balanced and high-quality creative activities through learning and applying the Fibonacci sequence. Additionally, to verify the validity and effectiveness of the instructional plan, including the one used in the 15-week course, we have detailed the participants involved in the content validation, the procedures of the research, the research tools used, and the methods for collecting and analyzing various data. Through this, We have confirmed the potential of creative and integrative education in higher practical music education and sought to develop educational methodologies for cultivating various creative talents in subsequent research.
The purpose of the study was to develop the Arduino based STEAM instruction materials for creative engineering design class. PDIE model was used in this study. We developed a STEAM lesson plan and a STEAM lesson worksheet for a total of six sessions through the steps of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation. The validity of the instruction materials was evaluated by the 10 experts using a survey. The instruction materials were applied to the class (52 students attended) of the creative engineering designs unit in technology and home economics subject. The class satisfaction and the creative solving-problem ability were examined after the calss. The class satafacition was high as the average of 10 item was 4.57 (out of 5). The paired t-test was conducted to compare the means of the creative solving-problem ability. It was observed that 'understanding and mastery of knowledge, thought, function and skills in a specific domain', 'divergent thinking', 'critical and logical thinking' and ' motivational factors' were significantly increased after the class. The instruction materials develped in this study were successfully designed to enhance the creative solving-problem ability by designing creative tasks and to intrique the interest by adding visual and auditory stimuli with the Arduino.
