In order to apply into functional food or medicinal industry, nutritional characteristics and physiological functionality of Hypsizygus marmoreus (brown cultivar) were investigated. Fruiting body of H. marmoreus contained 27.3% of crude protein, 55.8% of total sugar and 11,109.3 mg/100 g dry weight of malic acid. Furthermore, 66.7% of antihypertensive angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity and 37.3% of antigout xanthin oxidase inhibitory activity showed in the water extract from H. marmoreus. The economically ACE inhibitory activity (81.4%) was obtained when the fruiting body of Hysizygus marmoreus was extracted with distilled water of $50^{\circ}C$ for 12 h, even though maximal ACE inhibitory activity (84.4%) was showed the extracts from $70^{\circ}C$ for 12 h.

We report a 37 year-old-female patient with papillary thyroid cancer treated by surgery who demonstrated residual thyroid and bilateral breast uptake on a diagnostic I-131 whole body scan. She had an extrathyroidal extension needing I-131 ablative therapy. Her galactorrhea was investigated and treated with low doses of bromocriptine prior to I-131 therapy. Her galactorrhea was due to the decreased secretion of PIF induced by empty sella.

Rhodium(I)-complex of $[Rh(CO)_2I_2{^-}]$ catalyzed carbonylation of anhydrous-trimethylamine in the presence of methyl iodide to give DMAC (N,N-dimethylacetamide) in no solvent. The catalyst had been reused 20 times, the analyses and distillation of collected products showed that the yields of DMAC, MAA (N-methylacetamide), and DMF (N,N-dimethylformamide) were 82.3%, 12.6%, and 4.4%. The conversion rate of trimethylamine was 99 % and the selectivity of DMAC was 82.3% with TON (Turnover Number) of 700. Stepwise procedure of inner-sphere reductive elimination for the formation of DMAC was suggested instead of acyl iodide intermediate.

The nucleic acid of Synechococcus sp. cyanophage was identified as double-stranded DNA by the result of digestion with enzymes such as exonucleases, DNase, and S1 nuclease, and by acridine orange staining. The cyanophage DNA was cleaved with several restriciton ehdonucleases such as ApaI, BamHI, Bg/II, HaeIII, Eco RI, HindIII, PstI, AND aPAI gave the clearest sets of bands on agarose gels and the fragment numbers for each were 12, 20, 29, 20, and 7, respectively. The sums of the size from Bam HI and PstI digestions were estimated approximately 227$\pm$4 kb, which are in agreement with the result of the pulsed field gel electrphoresis. This virus is thought to have the largest genosome among those of known cyanophages, which corresponds to the largest haed ot 90 nm when compared with the head sizes of cyanophages discovered since 1963.

This study investigates the factors influencing consumer's channel selection for luxury fashion items, specifically the effect of (i) perceived luxury benefits, (ii) perceived online shopping risks, (iii) demographics, and (iv) purchasing behavior. A survey questionnaire was developed and implemented to measure the perceived luxury benefits, perceived online shopping risks, purchasing behaviors, and consumer demographics. A total of 396 responses were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, cross-tab, and multinomial logit analysis with SPSS18.0. The results are as follows. First, those who shop in offline shopping channels tend to be heavy buyers that look for product quality and conspicuousness. They perceive low risks from online shopping and purchase few bag items offline. Second, those who shop online tend to be men and perceive the high benefits of economic value. Third, those who shop in multi channels tend to be men, search for information via the Internet, and purchase few accessory items. Implications for multichannel strategies are suggested.

The investigation of the electrical conductivities donor doped $BaTiO_3$at isothermal temperature 700K and 1200K as a function of the oxygen partial press between I and $10^{-20}$atm yields evidence concerning the kind of defects. The position of the minimum conductivity is moved in some orders of magnitude with increasing of donor contents when comparing that of the pure $BaTiO_3$. The conductivity for all the samples with various concentration of donor blends into a same value and the conduction properties become independent of donor contents at very oxygen pratial pressure. This indicates that the reduction has become the major source of defects.

The aims of the present study were to confirm that regulation of the PA and environment via TGF-β regulation of sperm by Percoll-separated in porcine uterine epithelial cells. And, it was performed to identify the cytokines (TGF-β1, 2 and 3, TGF-β receptor1 and 2; interleukin, IL-6, IL-8) and PA-related genes (urokinase-PA, uPA; tissue-PA, tPA; PA inhibitor, PAI; uPA-receptor, uPAR) by spermatozoa. The experiment used porcine uterus epithelial cells (pUECs) and uterine tissue epithelial cells, Boar sperm were separated by discontinuous Percoll density gradient (45/90%), and tissues were co-incubated with spermatozoa, followed by real-time PCR. PA activity was measured of sperm by discontinuous Percoll density gradient (45/90%) for 24 hours. To measure viability and acrosome damage of sperm double stained propidium iodide (PI) and SYBR-14 or FITC-PNA were used. In results, binding ratio of Percoll-separated sperm was found no differences, but sperms isolated from 90% Percoll layer reduced PA activity (p < 0.05). when co-cultured sperm selected Percoll in porcine uterus tissues epithelial cells, 90% layer sperm increased TGF-β R1, contrastively tPA and PAI-1 in comparison with control (p < 0.05). 45% sperm was decreased the expression of uPA (p < 0.05). TGF-β decreased PA activity in the supernatant collected from pUECs (p < 0.05). Especially, The group including uPA, PAI-1 were induce sperm intact, while it was reduced in sperm damage when compared to control (p < 0.05). Also, there was no significant difference group of tPA and tPA+I in the dead sperm and acrosome damage compared to control. The expression of tPA and PAI showed a common response. Percoll-separated spermatozoa in 90% layer reduced tPA and IL-related gene mRNA expression. Thus, Percoll-sparated sperm in 90% layer show that it can suppress inflammation through increased expression of TGF-β and downregulation of PA and IL in epithelial cells compared to 45% layer Percoll.

In epistatic grouping of uvs genes in A. nidulans based on the sensitivities to 4-NQO, the same epistatic grouping was obtained as those for UV and MMS-sensitivities. Based on the MMS-sensitivities, uvsA demonstrated synergistic interactions to uvsF and uvsH, the UvsF group genes, but exhibited epistatic interactions to uvsB and uvsC. The same epistatic grouping was also seen for uvsI when UV was irradiated after 4h germination of conidia, showing synergistic interactions to uvsH, uvsC, and uvsB. However, epistatic interactions were observed with uvsF, which were different from those obtained in quiescent conidia by UV. Intergenic and intragenic recombination frequencies were normal in uvsI compared with wild type.
