  • In this paper, a P2P Standard Group Formation (P2P-SGF) method in Wi-Fi Direct is presented to provide direct communication services between Internet-of-Things (IoT) gateways. Generally, network traffic congestion and speed reduction problems are caused when transmitting mass data as well as measured data from many sensors between IoT gateways via an Access Point (AP). For solving these problems, it is required to implement Wi-Fi Direct efficiently transmitting mass data between IoT gateways without passing through the AP. The implemented P2P-SGF method basically performs Discovery, GO (Group Owner) Negotiation, WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) Provisioning, and Address Configuration. Especially, it supports the DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) service function for sharing mass data between IoT gateways. Some experimental results verify that it can successfully share large video files.

  • As the wireless network technologies and the capability of the mobile terminals are evolving, advanced peer to peer applications for mobile users are attracting interests. In this paper, we propose the mobile P2P communication platform(MPCP) which provides transparency to the wireless network technologies and solutions to the limited resources of the mobile terminals. MPCP classifies the connection into two levels: a virtual channel and a session. A virtual channel is the network layer connection between the terminals whereas a session is the application layer connection. MPCP classifies the sessions into four types and applies different scheduling priority and data processing policies such as segmentation and reassembly. It selects proper wireless network technologies depending on the distance between the communication endpoints. To acquire dynamically changed access address, we harness the Session Initiation Protocol. We implemented MPCP on embedded Linux simulator and utilized the implementation in mobile P2P service development. For the quantitative analysis, we compared the performance of MPCP with that of ftp. Regardless of the number of simultaneous sessions, MPCP maintains the relative performance.

  • P300 component of the event-related brain potential (ERP) reflects fundamental cognitive processes. The P300 components have been employed in a wide variety of theoretical, empirical, and clinical applications. In oddball paradigm for eliciting P300, we need standard stimuli and target stimuli. Firstly, designated stimuli are presented to subjects. Nextly, a chosen target stimulus is presented. In this paper, we elicited the P300 components with experiment that the subjects select a chosen target stimulus. Therefore, we measured the P300 components to be related choice of the target stimuli. The experimental results and the P300 components to be analyzed were presented.

  • In this paper, we propose a new design of circulation system of digital music contents in P2P service. It has functions of contents recognition, management of copyright DB, clearing house to perform payment system of P2P service. In P2P service each user provides his music contents, but in other circulation system, service providers provide their music contents. Therefore it is very difficult for each provider to recognize whatever the quality of distributing contents are good or not. Most circulation systems use hash technology or contents recognition technology for the recognition of contents. For the usability and efficiency this proposed system provides the combining technology of hash processing and contents recognition.

  • This study was a non-equivalence-based Quasi experimental study comparing the difference in communication ability, emotional intelligence (EQ), self-esteem, and interpersonal abilities between an experimental group with communication training and a non-control group. The subjects of the study were nurses working for D university hospital located in C city and comprised an experimental group of 21 people and a control group of 21 people. From April to May 2017, the experimental group took communication training programs, which were designed to improve communication capacity, emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and interpersonal ability for a total of four sessions (for 2 hours a week), and pre-post examination was conducted for the validity of the study. For data analysis, the SPSS for Windows 23 was used for the mean and standard deviation of pre-post tests, and U-test of the independent sample Mann-Whitney and the Wilcoxon code order test of the corresponding sample were carried out. The study results indicate that, compared with the control group, the experimental group showed communication capacity (Z=-3.361, p<.05), emotional intelligence (Z=-2.209, p<.05), self-esteem (Z=-1.633, p<.05), and interpersonal relationship (Z=-2.577, p<.05). After the communication training program, scores of communication capacity, emotional intelligence (EQ), self-esteem, and interpersonal competence of the experimental group increased significantly, and all hypotheses were supported. These results suggest that nurses' use of communication training experience in performing nursing work in a clinical setting would improve communication skills, emotional intelligence (EQ), self-esteem, and interpersonal skills and provide therapeutic communication and effective nursing, thereby enhancing patients' satisfaction and contributing to the improvement of nursing quality.
