pH-dependent Metabolic Flux Shift in Novel Hydrogen-Producing Bacterium Enterobacter sp. SNU-1453 (새로운 수소 생산 균주인 Enterobacter sp. SNU-1453의 pH에 따른 Metabolic Flux 변화)

  • For the biological production of hydrogen, a new fermentative hydrogen-producing bacterium, Enterobacter sp. SNU-1453, was isolated from a domestic landfill. During the culture of this bacterium, pH significantly decreased with the accumulation of various organic acids, and consequently this inhibited the production of hydrogen. It was found that the metabolic flux in this bacterium depended on the pH and affected the hydrogen production. A butanediol pathway was dominant during the fermentation when pH was not controlled. By controlling the pH at 7 this pathway can be shifted to a mixed acid pathway, which is favorable to the production of hydrogen.

Quadrotor altitude control with experimental data-based PID controller (실험 데이터 기반의 PID제어기를 이용한 쿼드로터의 고도제어)

  • In this paper, we propose a PID controller for altitude control of quadrotor system with experimental analysis. The Routh-Hurwitz test is applied to analyze the system to which our proposed controller is applied. We also summarize experimental data in which the gain values of kP, kI, and kD are changed using MATLAB and Simulink based on mathematical modeling of the quadrotor system. Based on the summarized experimental data, we analyze the effect of changes in each gain values (kP, kI, kD) of PID controller on altitude control of quadrotor, and present an algorithm for tuning the PID controller gain values. The PID controller with the proposed algorithm is applied to AR.Drone system, subsequently and result are verifised through experiments.

  • 수경재배에서 요구되는 최적의 배양액 pH는 5.5-6.5 이고, pH를 최적의 상태로 조절해 주는 방법으로 비료의 흡수생리를 이용하는 방법과 화학적인 산알칼리 용액을 이용하여 조절해 주는 방법이 있다. 이러한 pH 조절은 자동적으로 행해야 효과가 크며 본 실험은 흡수생리적인 면에서 산 혹은 알칼리 비료를 화학적인 산 알칼리와 비교하여 pH 조절효과의 차이를 보고자 하며 생육제어시스템 중 pH의 자동계측 및 제어를 통해서 계속적인 pH의 안정적인 수준을 유지하면서 상품성과 품질이 우수한 작물을 생산하고자 이 실험을 수행하였다.   • In this paper, we Provide context-aware services based on UPnP Device Module including sensor unit in existing PLC network without additional infrastructure. so existing PLC devices are controlled based on knowledge context and can be used in a ubiquitous environment. And efficient remote control and device management based on UPnP can also be provided.

  • A new current controlled PWM technique with N.P.C structure is proposed in this paper. A current controlled PWM technique with neutral-point-clamped pulsewidth modulation inverter composed of main switching devices which operates as switches for PWM and auxiliary switching devices to clamp the output terminal potential to the neutral point potential is described. This inverter output contains less harmonic content as compared with that of a conventional current controlled PWM type. In addition, the proposed current controlled PWM technique has lower switching frequency than that of conventional current controlled PWM technique at the same current limit. Two inverters are compared analytically. The improved voltage waveform of current controlled PWM with N.P.C structure is analyzed and the performance is investigated by the computer simulation.

  • ZnSe의 전기화학적 거동은 각각 다른 pH를 갖는 전해질에서의 linear sweep voltammogram 분석에 의해 체계적으로 고찰되었다. 제어된 조성을 갖는 칼코지나이드 ZnSe 박막이 complexing agent의 역할을 하는 citrate를 포함한 알카리 용액에서 전해 증착되었다. 다른 pH의 전해질에서 증착된 ZnSe 박막의 형상을 분석하고, 추가적으로 다른 pH의 전해질 및 어닐링 온도 변화에 따른 ZnSe 박막의 XRD분석이 이루어졌다.

  • A method of analysis of the steady-state performance of induction motor with supply voltage controlled by cyclically-triggered inline thyristors is presented. Phase-variable model and asymmetrical components are not used in this analysis. Instead, Fast Fourier Transform technique and the method of multiple reference frames are employed to obtain the constant-speed performance of I.M. easily.

  • A Nonlinear model-based Hybrid Controller (NHC) is developed which consists of the adaptive proportional-integral-feedforward (PIF) gains and variable structure controller. The controller has the robustness against modeling uncertainty and is applied to the trajectory tracking control of single-input, single-output nonlinear systems. The essence of the scheme is to divide the control into four different terms. Namely, the adaptive P-I-F gains and variable structure controller are used to accomplish the specific control actions by each terms. The robustness of the controller is guaranteed by the feedback of estimated uncertainty and the performance specification given by the adaptation of PIF gains using the second method of Lyapunov. The variable structure controller is incorporated to regulate the initial peak of the tracking error during the parameter adaptation is not settled yet. The newly developed NHC method is applied to the power tracking control of a nuclear reactor and the simulation results show great improvement in tracking performance compared with the conventional model-based control methods.
