Effects of Information Processing Types and Product Ownership on Usage Intention

  • Purpose - Current research aimed at exploring the effect differences between the two types of processing product information such as the imagining and the considering on psychological product ownership which could influence the intent to purchase or use the product, and focused on identifying the interaction effects of activated memory information type and advertising information type on each of the information processing types. Research design, data, and methodology - This study divided the information processing types into imagining and considering, and the consumer's memories were divided into autobiographical or episodic and semantic memory. The advertising information was approached in each of event information being together with the product and product feature information. At empirical study, 2(two types of memory activation: episodic and semantic memory activation) ∗ 2(two types of advertising information: event-focused and product feature-focused advertising information) between-subjects design was used to make four types of questionnaire according to the type of experimental groups. Through the survey platform, 'questionnaire stars' of 'WeChat' in China, 219 questionnaire data were collected for empirical study. The structural equation model in AMOS 26 and Anova were used to verify hypotheses. Results - First, the ownership affected the usage intent positively. Second, the imagining did not affect the psychological ownership but did directly affect the usage intention, and the considering affected the ownership positively. Third, the episodic memory activation positively influenced the imagining and negatively affected the considering, whereas the semantic memory activation positively influenced the considering and negatively affected the imagining. Fourth, event-advertising information increased the effects of the activated episodic memory on the imagining, and feature-advertising information increased the effects of the activated semantic memory on the considering. Conclusions - marketers should develop and advertise their product-related event message to trigger the imaging that directly increase the intent to purchase or use their product, when consumers are under the activation of their episodic memory. And marketers should advertise their product feature-related message to trigger the considering that could induce consumers' ownership for their product to increase the intent to purchase or use their product, when they are under the activation of their semantic memory.

Family Ownership's Predisposition to the Related Party Transaction and Its Influence on a Stock Price Crash: Evidence from Indonesia

  • This study investigates the relationship between family ownership and the stock price crash risk. It believes that this relationship would never be in direct connection. The authors design and then find that family ownership is predisposed, in the first place, to the related party transaction, then the related party transaction causes the future stock price crash. This study infers that employing the power of family ownership creates the Type I agency problem, although this is not relevant for the Type II problem. From the perspective of the hoarding theory, family ownerships produce opaque accounts by blurring financial information. The blurred information is probably hidden in the related party transactions. This study, therefore, splits these transactions into accounts receivable, other accounts receivable and other receivables. Finally, this research concludes that the family ownership affects related party transactions. These then are used as an instrument to influence the leaded related party transaction. The latest, leaded related party transactions influence the future stock price crash. This study infers that related party transactions are abusive practices, especially on the types of receivables. It implies corporate governance's revitalisation.

승용차 보유대수와 차종선택에 대한 네스티드로짓모형의 추정 (A Nested Logit Model of Auto Ownership and Vehicle Type Choices)

  • 승용차 부문의 에너지수요 또는 대기오염물 배출에 대해 영향을 미치는 정책의 효과를 정확히 예측하기 위해서는 소비자의 승용차 보유 및 이용행태에 대한 분석 및 예측이 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 네스티드로짓모형 을 활용한 가계의 자동차 보유대수 및 차종선택에 대한 연구로서 2003년 에너지경제연구원에서 수행한 에너지간이 조사 자료를 이용하여 추정을 시도하였다. 모형의 추정결과를 요약하면 모형의 적합도(goodness of fit)를 나타내는 ${\rho}^2$ 값과 포괄값이 모두 통계적으로 유의한 범위 내에 있어 네스티드로짓모형을 활용한 방법이 더 우수하다고 할 수 있다. 또한 운행비용의 탄력성이 1보다 커서 가구의 차량보유대수 및 차종선택은 운행비용에 대해 매우 민감하다는 것과 소득계층별로는 저소득 계층이 고소득 계층보다 더 민감하게 반응한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

지배주주 지분율과 연구개발 투자: 중국 상장기업을 대상으로 (Controlling Ownership and R &D Investment in Chinese Firms)

  • 본 연구는 지배주주의 소유 집중이 연구개발투자에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 2009년부터 2013년까지 중국증권 거래소에 상장된 359개 기업의 5년간 1795건의 패널 자료를 대상으로 실증분석을 시하였다. 실증분석 결과, 첫째, 국유기업의 경우 지배주주의 지분율과 연구개발투자 간에는 U 형의 관계가 존재하였다. 지배주주 지분율의 구간별 추정에서도 감소 후 증가하는 구조적 전환이 존재하는 비선형 관계가 확인되었다. 본 결과는 국가가 지배주주인 경우 지분율이 증가할수록 고용 안정과 확충 등 정치적 목표 달성을 위해 고 위험 투자를 회피하지만 일정수준을 넘어서면 주주로서 기업 가치 극대화를 위해 고 위험 투자 유인이 증가함을 시사하고 있다. 둘째, 민영기업의 경우 지배주주의 지분율과 연구개발투자 간에는 부(-)의 유의적인 관계가 존재하였다. 지배주주 지분율의 구간별 추정에서도 구조적인 전환점이 발견되지 않았다. 본 결과는 개인이 지배주주인 경우 지분율이 증가할수록 사적 자산의 집중에 따라 고 위험 투자에 대한 위험 회피 유인이 증가함을 시사하고 있다. 전체적으로 실증 결과는 지배주주 유형에 따라 지배주주의 지분율이 연구개발투자에 미치는 영향이 상이하다는 점을 지지하고 있다. 본 연구는 지배주주의 지분율과 기업 의사결정에 관계에 대한 연구에서 지배주주의 유형별로 특정의사결정에 대해 갖는 유인을 고려하여야 함을 시사하고 있다.

중.고령자가구의 경제적 자원 교류유형 및 교류액에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Factors Contributing to Financial Resources Interchange Type and Amounts of the Middle Aged and the Elderly Household)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine factors contributing to financial resources interchange type and amount of the middle aged and the elderly household. For this study, the 6th KLIPS data was used, and sample size was 1,679 households including those with head of household being over the age of 50. Statistical analysis was conducted to examine frequency, percentile, mean and standard deviation, Pearson's correlation, Anova, Duncan's multiple range test and Heckman analysis First, Interchange amount of Benefits type household was significantly different according to the householder's gender, existence or nonexistence of a spouse, age, educational background, home ownership, family type and place of residence. However, interchange amount of provide- type households were significantly different according tohouseholder's gender, existence or nonexistence of a spouse, educational background, whether retired or not, and home ownership. Second, The receptive type of households and net receptive expense of households in terms of the financial resources interchanges and the findings of Heckman analyses suggest that the variables to have a significant effect on the receptive types of financial interchanges were as gender, age, education level, retired or not, and current economics. Factors having an effects on net receptive expense were age, and family type and for the number of receptive of financial resources, whether there is the receptive of financial resources, total income, total asset. Third, The supplying type of households and net supplying expense of households in terms of the financial resources interchanges, whether or not the type of financially supplying households is significant were residential area, total income, house ownership. Factor having an effect net supplying expense were age, family type, whether there is the supplying of financial resources, family satisfaction, and house ownership.

심리적 소유감에 따른 메시지 프레이밍 효과: 온라인 서비스에서의 사용자 정보보안 행동을 중심으로 (The Effect of Message Framing Depending on Psychological Ownership: Focusing on Information Security Behavior in Online Service)

  • As the online space becomes more active, interest in protecting personal information is increasing. From this point of view, it is important to prevent personal information from being leaked in advance. As a precaution, it is suggested that users change their password periodically to protect their personal information effectively. Currently, various online services provide a request message that prompts users to periodically change their password. These messages are expressed as positive-centric or negative-centric. This message can be seen as a powerful way to trigger users' behavior. In this context, this study suggests that message framing type can be applied to the password change request message, and to investigate the difference between the positive-centric message and the negative-centric message. In addition, this study concluded that the effect of message type may be different depending on the degree of psychological ownership of the individual on the online service. As a result, users with high psychological ownership in online service were more effective when positive-centric message was presented than negative-centric message. On the other hand, users with low psychological ownership in online service were more effective when negative-centric message was presented than positive-centric message.

한국의 공항운영 현황과 민영화에 대한 법적 고찰 (A Review on the legal aspects of Airport Operation and Privatization in korea)

  • In this paper, the types of airport operation are categorized four groups in context of ownership and operational management; full government ownership and operation; government ownership with privatization of selected service; government ownership and private management; private ownership and operation. The term,"Privatization" has a different definition when it is used in different contexts and cultures. In this paper, the definition of"Privatization" in the context of airport, is that the movement of an entity from the government sector to the private sector. To keep pace with the remarkable growth in the air traffic volume of passengers and cargo, more and more mega-international airports have been built or are under construction. As the air transport demand is expected to increase at an even greater rate in the 21st century, the need for new conception airport is merging to solve the current problems such as airport congestions and flight delays which will be essential factors to decide whether the competitive airports or not. Presently, we researched the type of the operational management to strengthen the competitiveness for Korea's airports. Specifically, It is focused on the government ownership with privatization of selected services. It seems to be evaluated as government ownership and private management when it is actively utilized within Korea Airport Authority's law or Inchon International Airport's public corporation law. To make more competitive airport in 21st Century, however, it is desirable to seek for the method to gradually evaluate to private ownership and operation.

주택소유형태와 주거비용을 토대로 한 노인 단독가계의 경제복지 분석 (An Analysis of the Economic Well-being of Elderly Households based on Housing Ownership and Housing Costs)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the economic well-being of the elderly households based on the housing ownership and the housing costs, with the comparison between the coupled elderly and the single elderly. The results of this study were as follows: the household type was related to the housing ownership, showing that the single elderly households owned the housing less than the coupled elderly did. There was a difference in housing costs between the single elderly and the coupled elderly, showing the single elderly households had higher housing costs than the coupled elderly households. The housing ownership was significantly related, but the housing costs negatively related to the economic well-being of the elderly.

국내 패션 멀티브랜드 스토어의 유형별 전략 및 발전방향 (Classifications and Strategic Directions of Multi-brand Fashion Stores in Korea)

  • This study presents the strategic directions for Korean multi-brand fashion stores by running in-depth industry research and market analysis. Over 20 professionals were selected from Korean multi-brand fashion stores for this study and in-depth interviews were conducted to evaluate related subjects. The results of the study were as follows. First, Korean multi-brand fashion stores could be classified into three criteria: operating ownership, merchandise mix, and store identity. Second, operating ownership criterion was chosen for further investigations of strategies and directions of the multi-brand fashion stores. The operating ownership criterion consists of three types; department store types, specialty store types, and boutique types. Each type deploys different buying practice, organizational strategies, and distribution channels. Lastly, the suggested strategic directions for each type are summarized as follows. The 'department store type' should utilize its strong direct buying capabilities and acquisition of merchandising can be more effectively managed. The store should utilize its strong buying power as a tool to develop new private brands (PBs). For 'specialty store type', two key factors have been derived: market share expansion and positioning themselves to become a new distribution channel. To respond to these factors, the store needs to be perceived as a brand then diversify its business. Strengthening its brand will allow it to expand into a new distribution channel and also enable a strategic partnership with its competitor brands. The factors influencing 'boutique type' is personalization and uniqueness. With an emphasis on the uniqueness of products and merchandising it will be able to implement the role as a personal shopper and stylist to provide a very personalized service to its customers.

대주주 지분과 기업성과의 관계에 관한 연구 -코스닥상장법인을 대상으로- (A Study on the Relationship between Large Shareholders' ownership and Firm Performance -Firms Listed in KOSDAQ-)

  • 12월 결산 코스닥상장법인을 대상으로 대주주지분과 기업성과의 관계를 규명하기위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 회귀분석은 기업성과를 시장성과와 회계성과로 나누어 실시하였다. 시장성과의 경우 회귀분석결과, 대다수의 국내 선행연구가 지지하는 U자형 절충가설이 코스닥상장법인에게는 적용되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 회계성과의 대용변수인 ROA (Return on Assets)와 대주주 지분율의 관계는 역U자의 형태와 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 보다 정확한 검증을 위해 강건성 검정을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 회계성과로 대주주 지분과 기업성과의 관계를 분석할 경우 대주주 지분율 0-50%구간 까지는 이해일치 가설을 지지하지만 50%이상 구간에서는 대주주 지분율과 회계성과의 관계가 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
