보육교사의 역할갈등과 조직몰입이 민감성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Child Care Teachers' Role Conflict and Organizational Commitment on Sensitivity)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among child care teachers' role conflict, organizational commitment and teacher's sensitivity. It also aimed to test the mediating effect of organizational commitment on the pathway from child care teachers' role conflict on teacher's sensitivity. Methods: A self-report survey was conducted on 301 child care teachers in Chungbuk. Descriptive, means, standard deviations, correlations using SPSS 18.0, and Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS 18.0 were all conducted in order to analyze the collected data. Results: The results indicated that child care teachers' role conflict and organizational commitment had significant direct effects on teacher's sensitivity. This study also confirmed the significant mediating role of organizational commitment on the pathway from child care teachers' role conflict to sensitivity. Conclusion/Implications: The significance of role conflict and organizational commitment suggests that the integration of individuals with less conflict and more dedication will contribute more qualitative child care services by improving sensitive interactions with young children.

호텔 조직의 커뮤니케이션이 종사원의 만족과 이직에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Organizational Communication upon Employees' Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intent in the Deluxe Hotel)

  • This study investigated the effects of organizational communication upon employees' job satisfaction and turnover intent at deluxe hotels. The research model was tested with a survey administered to 310 employees, and adequate fit to the data was provided ($x^2=934.651$ (df=221), GFI=.816, NFI=.836, CFI=.869, RMSEA=.098). In the structural equation model, organizational communication (organization integration ${\beta}=.182$) showed a significant (+) influence on job satisfaction. However, personal feedback (${\beta}=-.263$), supervisory communication (${\beta}=-.260$), and organization integration (${\beta}=-.342$) had significant (-) effects on turnover intent. Employee job satisfaction (${\beta}=-.124$) had significant negative effects on employee turnover. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • Knowledge management is an essential part for gaining competitive advantage. The knowledge management system deals with information gathering, process, and implementation for the organizational performance advantage. The study integrates knowledge management in view of an internal organizational information processing structure and external strategic issue management system. This means that the coordination between internal systematic process and external scanning mechanism is essential for organizational success.

  • 본 연구는 프로젝트 급진성과 공급망의 혁신성 간의 조화가 공급망 통합 정도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구의 가설을 검정하기 위해 서베이 방법론이 사용되었다. 연구 결과, 공급망 통합의 정도는 프로젝트 급진성과 공급망의 혁신성간의 조화에 따라 다양하게 나타남을 알 수 있다. 특히, 공급망을 이루는 2개의 조직이 모두 변화지향적인 조직이며 동시에 통합 프로젝트가 급진적일 때 공급망의 통합 정도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 통합 프로젝트가 급진적이면 비록 공급망을 이루는 조직이 하나는 변화지향적이고 다른 하나는 현상유지 지향적이더라도 여전히 공급망의 통합 정도가 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 하지만 통합 프로젝트가 급진적이지 않고 점진적인 개선을 추구한다면 공급망 조직의 유형이 위와 같은 경우라도 공급망의 통합 정도는 매우 낮게 나타났다. 마지막으로 만약 공급망을 구성하는 조직이 둘 다 현상유지 지향적이라면 통합 프로젝트가 급진적이든 점진적 개선을 추구하든 상관없이 공급망 통합의 정도는 낮은 것으로 파악되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 급진성의 정도관점에서 조직의 혁신성과 조화를 이룰 수 있는 프로젝트여야만 성공적인 공급망 통합 즉, 성공적인 조직의 변화를 가져 올 수 있다고 주장한다.

Balancing Efficiency and Flexibility in Software Project: The Role of Team Collective Improvisation, behavioral integration, and member diversity

  • The successful management of software (SW) projects is a continuous concern to managers, which is attributed to the contradictory demands that most projects are facing; meeting user requirements within time and budget limit while flexibly dealing risks during the progress of the projects. The present study asserts project performance and risk mitigation are not tradeoff but to be achieved simultaneously, which is called SW project ambidexterity. Drawing on the literature on organizational behavior, hypotheses are developed speculating the relation among project performance, risk mitigation, team collective improvisation, team behavioral integration, and team diversity. Using empirical data collected from 102 SW project teams of 507 team members in South Korea, empirical analysis indicates team collective improvisation is a significant antecedent to SW project ambidexterity, playing a pivotal role to balance the contradictory demands. Furthermore, team behavioral integration positively influences the degree of team collective improvisation, and the magnitude of the relation is partially contingent on the team members' age and major diversity. The present study advances theory by providing a context specific explanation about the SW project ambidexterity and its precedents.

지방중소도시의 지역발전투자협약 추진체계 구축제언 - 영주시 공공건축가제도를 중심으로 - (A Proposal for an Organizational System that Implements a Planning Agreement in Local Small and Medium Sized City -Focused on System of Architect for Public Work of Yeongju City)

  • This research aimed to propose an organizational system that implements a planning agreement in local small and medium sized city, Korea. To conduct this research, three successful cases were deduced using integration systems to investigate purpose and background of the planning agreement. Articles, reports, media, and participation in meetings and workshops related on this topic are used for collecting data and interview of regional activists and experts, and public officials were carried out. Among them, the case of Yeongju city that used the new integration system instead of pre-adminstration system was examined in detail. There are three local governments; Yeongwol-gun, Jeungpyeong-gun, and Yeongju city which have successfully fulfilled projects from various departments of central adminstration not projects of planning agreement. The similarity noticed between those three cases is to continue various projects from several departments of central adminstration for numerous years and contribute to regional revitalization. A successful factor was to establish organizational system and manage it for the integration plan and performance for appropriate regional and administrative characteristics. In particular, in the case of Yeongju city, organization for urban architectural management composed of civilian experts were formed, authorized status on administrative organization was established, and the function and role were identified. It is helpful to other local governments to carry out the projects of planning agreement as the case of Yeongju city is now a new method.

성과 정보 통합 방법의 개발 (Developing a Performance Information Integration Method (PIIM))

  • Several performance measurement systems have been proposed and are currently being used in many organizations. However, no performance measurement system has presented a mechanism for integrating all of the information of performance measures in a way that considers the relationships between them. This paper proposes the performance information integration method (PIIM) which synthesizes all useful information of performance measures with consideration of the relationships and generates a single, global, organizational performance score. The PIIM showed good performance in the implementation in one long-term care facility. This paper provides performance measurement systems with an integration mechanism for multiple performance measures.

M&A 과정에서 직급별로 인지하는 조직정치와 이직 의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Organizational Politics and Turnover Intention by Position in the Mergers and Acquisitions)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the organizational politics, resistance change, turnover intention, and organizational commitment of organizational members during mergers and acquisitions. Recently, many companies are interested in mergers and acquisitions for business diversification and market extension. A merger is a legal consolidation of two entities into one, whereas an acquisition occurs when one entity takes ownership of another entity's stock, equity interests, or assets. This research model establishes a structural equation model. This model is set in a causal relationship between manager's organizational politics, peer organizational politics, and change resistance and the change resistance has a causal relationship of turnover and tissue immersion. In particular, this study will test different of organizational politics by position. Research results, the organizational politics of managers and colleagues have shown increasing change resistance. The change resistance has resulted in a reduction of organizational commitment and an increase of turnover intention. Next, the position analysis showed that top management level, middle management level, and working-level officials showed different organizational politics. The working-level officials are influenced by their manager politics and are influenced in organizational commitment and turnover intention by change resistance. The middle manager level is influenced by the organizational politics of bosses and colleagues, and organizational commitment is weakened by change resistance. The CEO level is not affected by organizational politics in the company, but the turnover intention is strengthened and the organizational commitment is weakened by the change resistance. This study has contributed to further updating the theory of organizational politics based on mergers and acquisitions. As a practical implication, we suggest an organizational integration strategy for a new organization.

  • In recent years, a scholars and a managers in business have taken a more interest on the effects of corporate culture on the organization effectiveness. The corporate culture has been recognized as one of the way to promote the organization performance and cope with the changes of the business environment. Edgar H. Shein defins the corporate culture as the that the pattern of basic assumptions that a given group has invented, discovered or developed in learning to cope with its problems of external adaptation and internal integration. The organization effectiveness is differently defined as the job satisfaction, job involvement, organizational commitment, organizational performance etc. The business culture help the employee (1) understand the values, the tradition, and the different management systems(decision-making basis, promotion, reward, behavior etc.) of the company, (2) make the performance-oriented decison and doings. Consequently, the excellent corporate culture would improve the organizational effectiveness. The purpose of this study is (1) to examine theoretically the content on the corporate culture and the organizational effectiveness, (2) to suggest the direction of the corporate culture management for both the management md the scholars.

통합정보시스템의 조직 통제에 미치는 영향 : ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) 시스템 도입을 중심으로 (The Effects of Integrated Information Systems on the Organizational Control : A Focus of ERP Implementation)

  • This study attempts (1) to analyze the changing pattern of organizational control by investigating the impacts of ERP implementations on the determinants of organizational control types and (2) to compare the performance variances based on the fitness between implementation of ERP and the changed mode of organizational control. Research results reveal that firms with ERP shows high degree of information integration, which partially affects the determinants of organizational control types. Also, results indicate that firms now with ERP shows the higher levels of both behavior and output control than without ERP, and the magnitude of change in behavior control level was greater than that of output control level. Finally, this research suggests that while the firms that implemented ERP for the purpose of quality and service improvement need to more focus on behavior control than on output control, the firms for the purpose of cost reduction need to excercise more output control in order to establish a cost effective control strategy.
