  • In ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) scheme, a user's secret key is associated with a set of attributes, and the ciphertext is associated with an access policy. The user can decrypt the ciphertext if and only if the attribute set of his secret key satisfies the access policy specified in the ciphertext. In the present schemes, access policy is sent to the decryptor along with the ciphertext, which means that the privacy of the encryptor is revealed. In order to solve such problem, we propose a CP-ABE scheme with hidden access policy, which is able to preserve the privacy of the encryptor and decryptor. And what's more in the present schemes, the users need to do excessive calculation for decryption to check whether their attributes match the access policy specified in the ciphertext or not, which makes the users do useless computation if the attributes don't match the hidden access policy. In order to solve efficiency issue, our scheme adds a testing phase to avoid the unnecessary operation above before decryption. The computation cost for the testing phase is much less than the decryption computation so that the efficiency in our scheme is improved. Meanwhile, our new scheme is proved to be selectively secure against chosen-plaintext attack under DDH assumption.

  • This paper deals with the policy failure in housing markets. In order to understand basic mechanism leading to policy failure, systems thinking and system dynamics modeling is applied to housing markets and housing policy. This paper will show different set of causal maps on housing policy, and compare causal reasons of housing policy and its critics.

  • We consider a supply chain consisting of a make-to-order manufacturer and N component suppliers and study the impacts of the number of suppliers on component inventory management. The manufacturer has full information and continuously observes the state of both component inventory level and customer backorders. Based on this information, the manufacturer determines whether or not to place a component purchasing order to a supplier among N suppliers even though some orders are in process by other suppliers. The goal of this paper is to numerically identify the manufacturer's purchasing policy which minimizes the total supply chain cost and the best choice of N. Our model contributes to the current literature in that the problem of simultaneously considering multiple outstanding orders and incorporating order setup cost into the model has not been covered yet. From numerical experiment, we investigate how much the policy with N suppliers can contribute to reducing the supply cost compared to the policy with a single supplier.

  • This study was conducted to describe trends of health services research (HSR) in Korea since 1968 and analyse the relevance of HSR to changes in health policy. Research methods are as follows: firstly, HSR articles were selected from 4 HSR related journals implicitly. Secondly, classification system of HSR was developed and then applied to previously selected papers in order to describe research trends. Finally, the frequency rankings of articles in research areas were compared with rankings in order of the importance of research area rated by experts. As a resesult, HSR articles have increased with time and three main research areas are health programme, health care financing, and health care organization/management. And many articles have been related to the efficiency and quality of health care since 1990. It seems HSR articles had little relevance to changes in health policy and policy environment. Especially, the recently disputed policy topic, namely the separation of prescription from disposing, has not received little attention since 1990. These findings suggest there is an urgent need for the reflection on HSR direction in Korea.

  • We consider a supply chain model with a make-to-order production facility and a single supplier. The model we treat here is a special case of a two-echelon inventory model. Unlike classical two-echelon systems, the demand process at the supplier is affected by production process at the production facility as well as customer order arrival process. In this paper, we address that how the demand variability impacts on the optimal replenishment policy. To this end, we incorporate Erlang and phase-type demand distributions into the model. Formulating the model as a Markov decision problem, we investigate the structure of the optimal replenishment policy. We also implement a sensitivity analysis on the optimal policy and establish its monotonicity with respect to system cost parameters.

  • In the current global business environment, it is very important how to allocate products from the producer to buyers (or distributors). Sometimes some buyers can order more than pertinent demand due to inappropriate forecasting customers' orders. This is the big obstacle to the efficient allocation of products. If the producer can become aware of buyers' pertinent demand, it is possible to realize the high-level order fulfillment through the effective allocation of products. In this study, a new allocation policy is proposed considering buyers' demands. The backpropagation algorithm, one of algorithms in neural network theory, is used to find pertinent demands from the distributors' orders. In the experiment, an allocation policy considering buyers' demands outperforms previous allocation policies.

  • In this paper, we consider multi-item inventory management. When managing a multi-item inventory, we coordinate replenishment orders of items supplied by the same supplier. The associated problem is called the joint replenishment problem (JRP). One often-used approach to the JRP is to apply a can-order policy. Under a can-order policy, some items are re-ordered when their inventory level drops to or below their re-order level, and any other item with an inventory level at or below its can-order level can be included in this order. In the present paper, we propose a method for finding the optimal parameter of a can-order policy, the can-order level, for each item in a lost-sales model. The main objectives in our model are minimizing the number of ordering, inventory, and shortage (i.e., lost-sales) respectively, compared with the conventional JRP, in which the objective is to minimize total cost. In order to solve this multi-objective optimization problem, we apply a genetic algorithm. In a numerical experiment using actual shipment data, we simulate the proposed model and compare the results with those of other methods.

  • This paper presents an order releasing algorithm for an AMS. Order release policy determine order releasing time to shop floor so as to improve order management and shop performance. The proposed order releasing algorithm can cope with the dynamic environment of orders(e.g. change or cancel of order) flexibly and fastly, by processing individual order and exchanging the information(e.g. compeletion time or lateness of order, etc) with customer. And the objective of the order releasing algorithm is the observance of the due-date, therefore, it can provide customer with a reliability of order. Computer simulation is used to obtain the makespan of order which is the input data of the order releasing algorithm. The eight candidate part dispatching rules are simulated to selected an effective part dispatching rule for the computer simulation. By using the best effective part dispatching rule, the computer simulation is conducted to determine order releasing time.

  • This paper studies the two supplier inventory system in which order-level inventory policy with constant leadtimes is adopted. An optimal ordering policy to achieve the expected minimum total inventory cost is found by utilizing the concepts of the equivalence relation. Sensitivity analysis of the system parameters, the replenishment cost and the unit price, is done through a numerical example.
