안경렌즈 코아 가공을 위한 비구면 형상 도출 프로그램 개발 (Program Development for Extracting the Numerical Data of Aspherical Surface for the Core Manufacturing of Ophthalmic Lens)

  • polycarbonate(PC)용 안경렌즈를 생산하는데 사용되는 몰드(mold)를 가공하기 위해서는 코아(core)의 가공이 필요하다. 코아의 가공은 Diamond Turning Machine(DTM) 또는 Computer Numerical Control(CNC) 선반으로 이루어지는데 이러한 장비의 운용을 위해서는 렌즈 코아 형상에 대한 수치 데이터가 필요하게 된다. 이에 우리는 렌즈 코아 형상에 대한 수치 데이터를 산출하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램은 일반 비구면 식의 계수를 사용하여 수치 데이터를 산출할 수 있도록 개발하였으며, 형상 그래프를 보여줄 수 있도록 하였고, 필요한 수치 데이터 파일을 저장할 수 있도록 하였다.

Synthesis and Characterization of ZnAl2O4 Nanopowders by a Reverse Micelle Processing

  • Using reverse micelle processing, $ZnAl_2O_4$ nanopowders were synthesized from a mixed precursor(consisting of $Zn(NO_3)_2$ and $Al(NO_3)_3$). The $ZnAl_2O_4$ was prepared by mixing the aqueous solution at a molar ratio of Zn : Al = 1 : 2. The average size and distribution of the synthesized powders with heat treatment at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 h were in the range of 10-20 nm and narrow, respectively. The average size of the synthesized powders increased with increasing water to surfactant molar ratio. The XRD diffraction patterns show that the phase of $ZnAl_2O_4$ was spinel(JCPDS No. 05-0669). The synthesized and calcined powders were characterized using a thermogravimetric - differential scanning calorimeter(TG-DSC), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM). The effects of the synthesis parameter, such as the molar ratio of water to surfactant, are discussed.

알코올 섭취 후 발생한 근시화와 관련된 눈의 해부생리학적 변화 (Anatophysiological Changes Related to Myopization Induced by Alcohol Ingestion on Eyes)

  • 알코올 섭취 후 발생하는 해부생리학적 변화가 눈의 일시적인 근시화에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 평균 24.5${\pm}$1.5세의 남자 8명(16 안)을 대상으로 0.42 g/kg의 알코올을 30분 간에 걸쳐 섭취토록 한 다음, 알코올 섭취 1시간, 4시간, 24시간 후의 교정굴절력, 각막곡률반경과 두께, 동공직경, 안압, 그리고 안구축의 길이변화를 측정하여 알코올 섭취 전과 비교하였다. 알코올 섭취 1시간 후에 알코올 섭취 전과 비교하여 호흡 중 알코올 농도가 가장 높았고(p<0.001), 교정굴절력의 구면 (-)굴절력 증가(p<0.05), 동공 크기의 감소(p<0.05), 안압의 하강(p<0.001), 그리고 안구축의 길이 증가가 나타났다. 알코올 섭취 4시간 후에도 모든 측정값들이 섭취 1시간 후와 동일한 경향이었다. 그러나 알코올 섭취 24시간 후에는 알코올 섭취 전과 비교하여 의의있는 변화를 보이지 않았다. 알코올 섭취로 인한 일시적인 근시화는 안압하강과 안구축의 길이변화와 관련성이 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The Effect of Quercetin in Corneal Opacity Induced by Mitomycin-C

  • This study examined the effects of quercetin on corneal opacity caused by corneal edema by suppressing the damage on corneal endothelial cell, which was induced by mitomycin-C (MMC). In the MMC-treated group, the number of keratocytes was noticeably fewer compared to that of other groups. Although this group showed normal amount of fiber in the corneal stroma, the thickness was shown to be very thick and the alignment of the corneal endothelial cells that worked as the barrier against aqueous humor was irregular. According to such results, it was known that corneal opacity induced by MMC is not caused by proliferation of keratocytes, but by corneal edema triggered by the infiltration of aqueous humor. In the MMC+quercetin and quercetin+MMC-treated groups, the number of keratocytes was higher and polymorphonuclear leukocytes infilteration was lower significantly compared to that of the MMC-treated group. Although the amounts of fiber and endothelioid cell arrangement were normal, there was more space observed in the corneal stroma. Nonetheless, these groups showed significantly lower stromal thickness compared to that of the MMC group. In conclusion, quercetin has the effect on the reduction of corneal opacity caused by corneal edema that work MMC-induced damage to the corneal endothelial cells.

대비감도함수와 변조전달함수를 이용한 시기능 예측 (Prediction of visual performance using contrast sensitivity function and modulation transfer function)

  • 본 논문에서 연구된 정밀모형안은 정시안에서 1.2 시력의 적정한 수차를 가진 모형안임을 확인하였다. 망막의 특성을 생략한 안광학계에 광전달함수를 사용하여 망막에서의 광세기 분포를 조사하여 자각식으로 측정한 임상자료와 비교하였다. 망막의 광학적 특성을 나타내는 안구의 수차, 회절, 망막 대비감도, Stiles-Crawford 효과, 동공크기를 포함한 대비감도함수를 계산하였다. 모형안에 동공직경 1 mm와 8 mm의 범위에서 정시안과 비정시안에 대해 대비감도함수와 변조전달함수를 비교하여 시력을 예측하였다.

  • 사람 눈의 각막에 평행하게 입사하는 광선의 높이에 따른 결상점을 근사 없이 스넬의 법칙으로 분석하였다. 광선들이 망막의 동일한 한 점에 결상하도록 각막에 입사하는 광선들의 높이에 따른 입사각을 계산하기 위하여 결상점으로부터 광선을 역추적하여 각막 전면에 입사하는 광선의 입사각을 계산 하였다. 눈 자체로는 구면수차를 유발할 수밖에 없기 때문에, 구면 수차를 보정할 수 있는 비구면 렌즈 설계에 대한 조건을 유도 하였다. 계산을 쉽게 하기 위하여 렌즈 후면은 구면으로 고정하고 렌즈 전면을 비구면 렌즈 설계를 위하여 높이에 따른 곡률을 계산하였다.

노안의 근용가입도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Near Addition of Presbyopia)

  • 본 연구에서는 40세부터 65세까지의 장년층의 노안굴절력과 근용가입도를 조절력 검사방법으로 연구하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 가입도는 +0.50Dptr에서 +3.50Dptr까지 검출되었다. 2. 40세부터 44세까지는 +1.50.Dptr${\geq}$가입도${\geq}$0.50 Dptr로 검출되었다. 3. 45세부터 50세까지는 +2.00.Dptr${\geq}$가입도${\geq}$1.00 Dptr로 검출되었다. 4. 51세부터 55세까지는 +3.00.Dptr${\geq}$가입도${\geq}$1.50 Dptr로 검출되었다. 5. 56세부터 65세까지는 +3.50.Dptr${\geq}$가입도${\geq}$2.50 Dptr로 검출되었다. 6. 검사대상자중에서 근용안경장용자는 75%로 나타났다.

Effect of Alkaline-Earth Oxide Additives on Flexural Strength of Clay-Based Membrane Supports

  • Low-cost ceramic membrane supports with pore sizes in the range of $0.52-0.62{\mu}m$ were successfully prepared by uniaxial dry compaction method using inexpensive raw materials including kaolin, bentonite, talc, sodium borate, and alkaline-earth oxides in carbonate forms (e.g., $MgCO_3$, $CaCO_3$, and $SrCO_3$). The prepared green supports were sintered at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 8 hr in air. The effect of alkaline-earth oxide additives on the flexural strength of clay-based membrane supports was investigated. The porosity of the clay-based membrane supports was found to be in the range of 33-34%. The flexural strength of the clay-based membrane supports with 1% alkaline-earth carbonates was found to be in the range of 42.8-52.7 MPa. The addition of alkaline-earth carbonates to clay-based membrane supports resulted in large increases (47-80%) in the flexural strength of the membrane supports, compared to that of membrane supports without alkaline-earth carbonates. The typical flexural strength of the clay-based membrane support with 1% $SrCO_3$ was 52.7 MPa at 33.8% porosity.

첨가제의 조성이 폐유리-점토 타일의 곡강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Additive Composition on Flexural Strength of Cullet-Loess Tile Bodies)

  • Cullet-loess tile bodies are successfully fabricated using cullet, loess, hollow microspheres, and sintering additives (borosilicate glass frit, boric acid, or fumed silica) as starting materials. The effects of the additive composition and sintering temperature on the sintered density and flexural strength of the cullet-loess tile bodies are investigated. The sintered density of the cullet-loess tile bodies increases with an increase in the sintering temperature as a result of the enhanced densification of pore walls through the viscous flow of a liquid phase formed from the glass frit and sintering additives. The flexural strength of the cullet-loess tile bodies increases with increases in the sintering temperature and the cullet content in the starting composition. A maximal flexural strength of 40 MPa is obtained in cullet-loess tile bodies sintered with glass frit at $800^{\circ}C$ in air.

안경광학과 학생들의 현장(임상)실습 만족도에 따른 취업 성향 분석 (Analysis of Employment Tendencies According to the Satisfaction of Field (Clinical) Practice among Students of the Department of Optics)

  • Purpose. This research study is to understand the effects of field (clinical) Practice on employment choice and decision. Method. The research study conducts a questionnaire survey of trainees who received field (clinical) Training during the period of 2016 summer vacation to analyze the data, utilizing Likert 5 rating scales and conduct a statistical analysis with the tool of SPSS 18.0. Results.. As for the satisfaction of the participation of Practice, girl students account for the high rate (75.1%) compared with boy students (61.7%). Regarding the satisfaction of each Practice spot, ophthalmic clinic reaches the high rate (77.8%) compared with optical shop (65.7%). Practice about practice courses (53.2%) of regular subjects have somewhat close correlations compared with theory courses (46.8%). 75.2% of respondents in the group that shows the high satisfaction of the participation of Practice replied that they would decide employment as an academic major after Practice. And the figure is proved to assume a high ratio. Conclusion. The analytic research outcome indicates that those trainees who received Practice in an ophthalmic clinic have higher satisfaction than those who received Practice in an optical shop. There is the high accomplishment of employment in relation to academic major area instead of other area, after Practice.
