하이브리드 방식을 이용한 크레인의 안티스웨이 제어 (Anti-sway Control of Crane System using Hybrid Control Method)

  • In the crane control system, it is reguired that the travelling time of the crane must be reduced as much as possible and the swing must be stoped at the end point. In paper, we present a hybrid control method which include the optimal regulator and velocity pattern controller in order to make high performance of the anti-sway. To implement the control algorithm, the dynamic equation is linearlized at an equilibrium point, so that the liner time invariant state equation can be obtained. In order to experiment the crane control, we consider 1 over 10 of the gantry crane which is used in a port. As a result, the hybrid control method improve efficient anti-sway control more than conventional velocity pattern control. It is expected that the proposed system will make an important contribution to the industrial fields.

  • One major limitation of the efficiency of parallel computer designs has been the prohibitively high cost of parallel communication between processors and memories. Linear order concentrators can be used to build theoretically optimal interconnection schemes. Current designs call for building superconcentrators from concentrators, then using these to recursively partition the connection streams O(log2N) times to achieve point-to-point routing. Since the superconcentrators each have O(N) hardware complexity but O(log2N) depth, the resulting networks are optimal in hardware, but they are of O(log2N) depth. This pepth is not better than the O(log2N) depth Bitonic sorting networks, which can be implemented on the O(N) shuffle-exchange network with message passing. This paper introduces a new method of constructing networks using linear order concentrators and expanders, which can be used to build interconnection networks with O(log2N) depth as well as O(Nlog2N) hardware cost. To search the optimal path, multiple mobile robot is always generating path with static and dynamic obstacles avoidance from start point to goal point.   • The nodal marginal cost and the congestion charge are used as the econimic signals for the electricity price and new invetments in deregulated power systems. In this paper, the nodal marginal cost and the congestion charge are calculated by using the shadow prices resulted from the calculation of Optimal Power Flow(OPF). Linearization of inequality constraints and piecewise linear cost functions make an OPF problem LP-based forms. In order to use the shadow price, the Interior Point(IP) algorithm is applied as a solution technique to the formulation. This paper proposes an algorithm to determine efficients initial points which are guaranteed to be interior points.

  • In this work, some inaccuracies and limitation of prior indentation theory, which is based on the deformation theory of plasticity and experimental observations, are first investigated. Then effects of major material properties on the configuration of indentation load-deflection curve are examined via incremental plasticity theory based finite element analyses. It is confirmed that subindenter deformation and stress-strain distribution from the deformation theory of plasticity are quite dissimilar to those from incremental theory of plasticity. We finally suggest the optimal data acquisition location, where the strain gradient is the least and the effect of friction is negligible. This data acquisition point increases the strain range by a factor of five.

Development of an Automation Tool for the Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis of Machine Tool Spindles

  • In this study, an automation tool was developed for rapid evaluation of machine tool spindle designs with automated three-dimensional finite element analysis (3D FEA) using solid elements. The tool performs FEA with the minimum data of point coordinates to define the section of the spindle shaft and bearing positions. Using object-oriented programming techniques, the tool was implemented in the programming environment of a CAD system to make use of its objects. Its modules were constructed with the objects to generate the geometric model and then to convert it into the FE model of 3D solid elements at the workbenches of the CAD system using the point data. Graphic user interfaces were developed to allow users to interact with the tool. This tool is helpful for identification of a near optimal design of the spindle based on, for example, stiffness with multiple design changes and then FEAs.

  • This paper considers a problem of optimizing torch paths to cut stock plates nested with open contours. For each contour, one of the two ending points is to be selected as a starting point of cutting with the other being the exit point. A torch path is composed of a single depot and a series of starting and ending points of contours to be cut. The torch path optimization problem is shown to be formulated as an extended version of the standard travelling salesman problem. To solve the problem, a hybrid genetic algorithm with the local search of torch paths is proposed. The genetic algorithm is tested for hypothetical problems whose optimal solutions are known in advance due to the special structure of them. The computational results show that the algorithm generates very near optimal solutions for most cases of the test problems, which verifies the validity of the algorithms.

  • This paper designs the optimal PID controller for load frequency control on 2-area power system. Genetic algorithm is utilized to optimize parameters of PID controller which is applied to power system. Using two-point crossover, uniform crossover and one-point crossover, Search performance of genetic algorithm with each crossover method is considered. In case of load variation in 1-area, the dynamic characteristic of power system is considered. The simulation results show that the proposed PID controller is better control performance than PID controller using Ziegler-Nichols method.

  • In this paper, we design a GA-fuzzy controller for position control and anti-swing at the destination point. A genetic algorithm is used to complement the demerits such as the difficulty of the component selection of the fuzzy controller, namely, scaling factors, membership functions and control rules. Lagrange equation is used to represent the motion equation of trolley and load in order to obtain mathematical modelling. Simulation results show that the proposed control technique is superior to a conventional optimal control in destination point moving and modification.

  • This paper presents the new three-level optimal control scheme for the large scale nonlinear systems, which is based on fast walsh transform. It is well known that optimization for nonlinear systems leads to the resolution of a nonlinear two point boundary value problem which always requires a numerical iterative technique for their solution. However, Three-level costate coordination can avoid two point boundary condition in subsystem. But this method also has the defect that must solve high order differential equation in intermediate level. The proposed method makes use of fast walsh transform, therefore, is simple in computation because of solving algebra equation instead of differential equation.
