An Adaptive Multi-Echelon Inventory Control Model for Nonstationary Demand Process

  • In this paper, we deal with an inventory model of a multi-stage, serial supply chain system where a single product type and nonstationary customer demand pattern are considered. The retailer and suppliers place their orders according to an echelon-stock based replenishment control policy. We assume that the suppliers can access online information on the demand history and use this information when making their replenishment decisions. Using a reinforcement learning technique, the inventory control parameters are designed to adaptively change as the customer demand pattern is altered, in order to maintain a given target service level. Through a simulation based experiment, we verified that our approach is good for maintaining the target service level.

  • In the age where the Internet changes everything, even the earth has become flat. The boarders between nations, locations, times, and industries are not meaningful, and no single company can do the whole process well. Therefore, various types of 'Value network' and 'Relation web' emerge for moving first and learning fast. Both the relationship maturity model (RMM) proposed and the partnership management initiatives at SKT demonstrate that the concept is important, and that the final goal can be reached only through a series of critical outcome at each phase. In particular, recognizing as core infrastructures various online/offline channels, deep trust, and rich communications is an important finding for a successful relationship management. Also, related literatures suggest the following key factors to be influential in more than two phases: professionalism including expertise, similarity, channel infrastructure, trustful/trustworthy, and absorptive capacity. Based on these findings, future efforts need to be put on the research & development of related measurement and management tools. It is hoped that more dance with their partners through these efforts.

Reliability-aware service chaining mapping in NFV-enabled networks

  • Network function virtualization can significantly improve the flexibility and effectiveness of network appliances via a mapping process called service function chaining. However, the failure of any single virtualized network function causes the breakdown of the entire chain, which results in resource wastage, delays, and significant data loss. Redundancy can be used to protect network appliances; however, when failures occur, it may significantly degrade network efficiency. In addition, it is difficult to efficiently map the primary and backups to optimize the management cost and service reliability without violating the capacity, delay, and reliability constraints, which is referred to as the reliability-aware service chaining mapping problem. In this paper, a mixed integer linear programming formulation is provided to address this problem along with a novel online algorithm that adopts the joint protection redundancy model and novel backup selection scheme. The results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the request acceptance ratio and reduce the consumption of physical resources compared to existing backup algorithms.

Hybrid Fraud Detection Model: Detecting Fraudulent Information in the Healthcare Crowdfunding

  • In the crowdfunding market, various crowdfunding platforms can offer founders the possibilities to collect funding and launch someone's next campaign, project or events. Especially, healthcare crowdfunding is a field that is growing rapidly on health-related problems based on online platforms. One of the largest platforms, GoFundMe, has raised US$ 5 billion since 2010. Unfortunately, while providing crucial help to care for many people, it is also increasing risk of fraud. Using the largest platform of crowdfunding market, GoFundMe, we conduct an exhaustive search of detection on fraud from October 2016 to September 2019. Data sets are based on 6 main types of medical focused crowdfunding campaigns or events, such as cancer, in vitro fertilization (IVF), leukemia, health insurance, lymphoma and, surgery type. This study evaluated a detect of fraud process to identify fraud from non-fraud healthcare crowdfunding campaigns using various machine learning technics.

해양로봇 활용의 역량중심 메이커 및 설계 교육 사례 연구 (Case Study on Competency-based Maker and Design Education using Marine Robot)

  • Recently, the need of the future education in youth and univesity is rapidly increasing according to 4th industrial revolution. However, the maker and design education as a kind of youth and university future education has the following problems: it is implemented as an interesting convergence education including software education, it is managed by integrating youth and university competencies, it is composed in the form of blended class of consilient subject and nonsubject, it requires considering satisfaction in competency measurement and management, it is connected with entering school and getting job. To solve these problems, a case study on competency-based maker and design education using marine robot, which is based on the process-based learing method, integrated competency of youth and university, blended-type curriculum in terms of online and offline, is executed. To verify the competency-based maker and design education, the satisfaction survey in subject and nonsubject is performed. Study results show the example of the marine robot-based maker and design education and the need for additional study.

  • Over the past few years, fake news has become one of the most significant problems. Since it is impossible to prevent people from spreading misinformation, people should analyze the news themselves. However, this process takes some time and effort, so the routine part of this analysis should be automated. There are many different approaches to this problem, but they only analyze the text and messages, ignoring the images. The fake news problem should be solved using a complex analysis tool to reach better performance. In this paper, we propose the approach of training an Artificial Intelligence using an unsupervised learning algorithm, combined with online data parsing tools, providing independence from subjective data set. Therefore it will be more difficult to spread fake news since people could quickly check if the news or article is trustworthy.

  • User preferences and ratings may be anticipated by recommendation systems, which are widely used in social networking, online shopping, healthcare, and even energy efficiency. Constructing trustworthy recommender systems for various applications, requires the analysis and mining of vast quantities of user data, including demographics. This study focuses on holding elections with vague voter and candidate preferences. Collaborative user ratings are used by filtering algorithms to provide suggestions. To avoid information overload, consumers are directed towards items that they are more likely to prefer based on the profile data used by recommender systems. Better interactions between governments, residents, and businesses may result from studies on recommender systems that facilitate the use of e-government services. To broaden people's access to the democratic process, the concept of "e-democracy" applies new media technologies. This study provides a framework for an electronic voting advisory system that uses machine learning.

온라인 문제기반 과학 탐구과제 평가준거 개발 (Development of Evaluation Criteria for Online Problem-Based Science Learning)

  • 본 연구에서는 문제기반 탐구학습으로 설계된 초등학교 및 중학교 온라인 과학 과목을 대상으로 고차적인 사고력을 평가할 수 있도록 개발된 평가문제에 대해 목표 분류학에 기반하여 평가하고자 하는 사고력을 도출하고 이를 구조화함으로써 평가준거를 개발하고자 하였다. 평가준거의 개발 과정은 다음과 같다. 먼저, 선행 연구 및 문헌분석, 전문가 타당화를 거쳐 6개의 평가요소 즉, 지식, 논리 분석적 사고, 비판적 사고, 탐구능력, 문제해결, 창의적 사고를 도출하였다. 다음으로, 평가요소의 정의, 하위 요소 및 평가 기준 등을 연구진이 수립하였고 2차에 걸친 전문가 타당화를 통해 수정, 보완하여 평가 기준안을 개발하였다. 마지막으로, 이와 같이 개발된 평가 기준안을 실제 온라인 탐구 과제 24종에 적용하여 과제별 평가 루브릭을 개발하였으며, 이 과정에서 수정, 보완할 영역을 도출하고, 개선하여 최종 평가 기준안을 완성하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 평가 기준안은 평가문제가 평가하고자 하는 내용과 함께 그 문제가 요구하는 사고기능이 무엇인지 확인함으로써 내용 영역의 학습과 함께 사고기능의 개발효과를 확인할 수 있는 평가준거가 될 것이며, 다양한 탐구 중심의 학습 방법과 과학적 사고력, 과학적 문제 해결력 등의 핵심역량을 요구하는 교육 현장에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

코로나-19 팬데믹으로 인한 체육계열 대학생의 원격수업 학습경험 탐색 (Exploring the Online Learning Experience of College Students Majoring Physical Education in the COVID-19 Pandemic)

  • 이 연구는 코로나-19로 인한 대학 내 원격수업에 따른 체육계열 대학생의 교육경험과 인식을 확인하고자 수행되었다. 이러한 연구목적을 위해 체육계열 대학생 278명에게 온라인을 통해 원격수업 현황, 원격수업인식(선호도, 만족도)을 조사하였다. 분석방법으로는 SPSS 22.0과 R프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 대응표본 t검증, ANOVA, 워드 클라우드 분석을 적용하였다. 상기한 연구과정을 통해 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 코로나-19로 인한 체육계열 원격수업 유형에서는 이론 및 실기수업 모두 동영상형이 가장 많이 활용되었다. 둘째, 원격수업 유형의 선호도에서는 이론 및 실기수업 모두 동영상형이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음은 강의장면 촬영형, 음성강의형 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 체육계열 대학생들의 원격수업에 있어 이론수업과 실기수업에 대한 만족도 차이를 분석한 결과 수업유형에 따른 만족도 차이는 없었다. 서술형 응답을 통해 과제의 적절한 활용 여부는 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인임을 확인하였다. 결과를 반영하여 체육계열 원격수업의 방향과 향후 연구 문제를 제안하였다.

사이버대학 학생정원 관리모형 개발 (Development of the Cyber University's Admission Quota Policy Model)

  • 사이버대학 학생정원의 증원은 학생 규모에 따른 교육여건의 확보, 신입생 충원율 등을 감안하여 결정되는데 정원 관리를 위해 고려되는 항목들이 사이버대학의 특수성을 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있으며, 항목별 기준도 미약하여 증원에 대한 자율 통제, 학습권 보호, 교육의 질 담보를 제대로 수행하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 사이버대학 학생정원 관리 정책의 취약점을 보완하고 사이버대학의 특장점을 살려서 고등교육기관으로서의 교육의 질을 담보할 수 있는 학생정원 관리 방안을 제안하기 위하여 수행되었다. 본 연구를 통해 사이버대학의 현황 및 질 제고 요소 분석, 전문가 의견조사 등을 통하여 사이버대학 학생정원 관리모형을 도출하였다.
