  • In this study we examined whether vitrified Hanwoo (Korean cattle) IVM/IVF/IVC blastocysts can survive in vitro/in vivo by a quick one-step dilution method and these embryos result in live births. Blastocysts produced in vitro were vitrified by serial exposure to glycerol (G) and/or ethylene glycol (EG) mixtures of 10% (v/v) G for 5 min, 10% G plus 20% EG (v/v) for 5 min, and 25% G plus 25% EG (v/v) for 30 see. • In the linear regression model $y_{i}$ = .alpha. $x_{i}$ $^{T}$ .beta. + .epsilon.$_{i}$ , i = 1,2,...,n, the weighted pairwise absolute deviation (WPAD) estimator was defined by minimizing the dispersion function D (.beta.) = .sum..sum.$_{{i $w_{{ij}}$$\mid$ $r_{j}$ (.beta.) $r_{i}$ (.beta.)$\mid$, where $r_{i}$ (.beta.)'s are residuals and $w_{{ij}}$'s are weights. This estimator can achive bounded total influence with positive breakdown by choice of weights $w_{{ij}}$. In this paper, we consider a more general type of dispersion function than that of D(.beta.) and propose a pairwise GM-estimator based on the dispersion function. Under some regularity conditions, the proposed estimator has a bounded influence function, a high breakdown point, and asymptotically a normal distribution. Results of a small-sample Monte Carlo study are also presented. presented.

  • One-step seeded polymerization was used to prepare $7{\sim}10{\mu}m$ of crosslinked monodisperse spheres with four crosslinking agents using $4.68{\mu}m$ poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) seed particles in aqueous-alcoholic media in the absence of the swelling process. The crosslinking agents used were ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA), allyl methacrylate(AMA), 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate(HDDA) and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate(TMPTMA). The effects of the type and concentration of the crosslinking agents on the swelling, pore size, thermal property of the networks and morphology of the particles were studied. The chemical structures and concentrations of the crosslinking agents affected both the swelling ratio and the porosity of the networks. In addition, the chemistry of the reactive vinyl group and chain length of the crosslinking agents affected the stability of the monodisperse particles of the ultimate morphology.

  • We present a fast, constructive algorithm for the automatic placement of standard cells, which consists of two steps. The first step is responsible for cell-row assignment of each cell, and converts the circuit connectivity into a multi-stage graph under to constraint that sum of the cell-widths in each stage of the multi-state graph does not exceed maximum cell-row width. Generatin of feed-through cells in the final layout was shown to be drastically reduced by this step. In the second step, the position of each cell within the row is determined one by one from left to right so that the cost function such as the local channel density is minimized. Our experimental result shows that this algorithm yields near optimal results in terms of the number of feed-through cells and the horizontal tracks, while running about 100 times faster than other iterative procedures such as pairwise interchange and generalized force directed relaxation method.

  • Traditional section-based method develops blank along section planes and find trimming line by generating loop of end points. This method suffers from inaccurate results for regions with out-of-section motion. In this study, new fast method to find feasible trimming line is proposed. One step FEM is used to analyze the flanging and incremental development method is proposed to handle bad-shaped mesh and undercut part. Also in order to remedy mesh distortion during development, energy minimization technique is utilized. The proposed method is verified by shrink/stretch flange forming and successfully applied to the complex industrial applications such as door outer flanging process.

  • In this paper, we study a new one-step iterative scheme with error for approximating common fixed points of non-self asymptotically nonexpansive in the intermediate sense mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Also we have proved weak and strong convergence theorems for above said scheme. The results obtained in this paper extend and improve the recent ones, announced by Zhou et al. [27] and many others.

  • We combined Field-Activated Combustion Synthesis(FACS) with mechanical pressure to produce dense WC-20 vol.%Co composite in one step. The hardness, the fracture toughness and the relative density of the dense WC-20 vol.%Co were investigated. Under the application of 60 MPa pressure and 3000A current on the reactants, the relative density of WC-20 vol.%Co composite was 99.4%. The fracture toughness and hardness were $9.4 MPa.m^{1/2}$ and $1672kg\textrm{mm}^2$ respectively. The fracture toughness and hardness of WC-20 vol.%Co composite produced by FAPACS were lower than that of nanostructured composite, but similar to commercial ones. Therefore we concluded that the FAPACS method which can produce WC-20 vol.%Co within several minutes in one step is superior to conventional ones.

  • Wearable multi-sensors based on nanocrystals have attracted significant attention, and studies on patterning technology to implement such multi-sensors are underway. Conventional patterning processes may affect material properties based on high temperatures and harsh chemical conditions. In this study, we developed an inkjet printing technique that can overcome these drawbacks through the application of patterning processes at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Nanocrystal-based ink is used to adjust properties efficiently. Additionally, the viscosity and surface tension of the solvents are investigated and optimized to increase patterning performance. In the patterning process, the electrical, electrothermal, and electromechanical properties of the nanocrystal pattern are controlled by the ligand exchange process. Experimental results demonstrate that a multi-sensor with a temperature coefficient of resistance of 3.82 × 10-3 K-1 and gauge factor of 30.6 can be successfully fabricated using one-step inkjet printing.
