Realization of one chip for opto-couplers in driving circuit of electric valve (전동밸브의 구동회로에서 Opto-Coupler들의 one chip화 구현)

  • This paper has been studied driving circuits in electrical valves. Also in this paper, opto-couplers of driving circuit are replaced with digital one chip of Altera company. Designs in order to realization of one chip are carried out with Altera Max Plus II. For compact size and light weight, the realization with one chip is necessary in the electrical valves. This paper has designed and presented the digital schemetic circuits, finally the driving circuits are sucessfully operated with the designed chip and showed the saving of area in the driving circuits of electric valves.

  • In the paper, a hybrid control approach for the swing-up control of a rotary type inverted pendulum is treated using one-chip microcomputer. The control approach is composed by a scheduling logic control for swing up control and the linear state feedback control to achieve the disired inverted-state of the pendulum. The experimental cystem has been implemented by a 16-bit one-chip microcomputer with 3096 opu as the digital controller incorporating the above mentioned control approach.

  • Genetic Algorithm(GA) has known as a method of solving NP problem in various applications. Since a major drawback of the GA is that it needs a long computation time, the hardware implementation of Genetic Algorithm is focused on in recent studies. This paper proposes a new type of embedded one chip computer fort Hardware Implementation of Genetic Algorithm. The proposed embedded one chip computer consists of 16 Bit CPU care and hardware of genetic algorithm. In contrast to conventional hardware oriented GA which is dependent on main computer in the process of GA, the proposed embedded one chip computer is independent on main computer. Conventional hardware GA uses the fixed length of chromosome but the proposed embedded one chip computer uses the variable length of chromosome by employing the efficient 16 bit Pipeline Unit. Experimental results show that the proposed one chip computer is applicable to the design of evolvable hardware for Random NRZ bit synchronization circuit.

Effect of Plasma Treatment on the Bond Strength of Sn-Pb Eutectic Solder Flip Chip (Sn-Pb 공정솔더 플립칩의 접합강도에 미치는 플라즈마 처리 효과)

  • Fluxless flip chip bonding process using plasma treatment instead of flux was investigated. The effect of plasma process parameters on tin-oxide etching characteristics were estimated with Auger depth profile analysis. The die shear test was performed to evaluate the adhesion strength of the flip chip bonded after plasma treatment. The thickness of oxide layer on tin surface was reduced after Ar+H2 plasma treatment. The addition of H2 improved the oxide etching characteristics by plasma. The die shear strength of the plasma-treated Sn-Pb solder flip chip was higher than that of non-treated one but lower than that of fluxed one. The difference of the strength between plasma-treated specimen and non-treated one increased with increase in bonding temperature. The plasma-treated flip chip fractured at solder/TSM interface at low bonding temperature while the fracture occurred at solder/UBM interface at higher bonding temperature.

  • This paper describes design and fabrication issues of the SiP(System in Package) one-chip for a portable digital broadcasting receiver. It includes RF tuner chip, demodulator chip and passive components for the receiver system. When we apply the SiP one-chip technology to the broadcasting receiver, the system board size can be reduced from $776mm^2$ to $144mm^2$. SiP one-chip has an advantage that the area reduces more 81% than separated chips. Also the sensitivity performance advances -1dBm about 36 channels in the RF weak electric field, the power consumption reduces about 2mW and the C/N keeps on the same level.

  • In turning the chip may be produced in the form of continuous chip or discontinuous one. Continuous chips produced at high speed machining may hit the newly cut workpiece surface and adversely affect the appearance of the surface finish and may interfere with tool and sometimes induce tool fracture. In this study relationship between AE signal and chip form was experimentally investigated, The experimental results show that types of chip form are possible to be classified from the AE signal using fuzzy logic.

  • One of the parameters that influence the productivity of every industry, involved in metal cutting, is the chip from ; continuous or broken chip. Chip form varies according to machining conditions, material used, tool geometry and chip breaker geometry. Therefore, in this study we carried out the experiment on the chip control in machining STS304 using an attached obstruction type chip breaker. Namely, with the change of a chip breaker distance, chip breaker angle, cutting characteristics in machining STS304 which is well-known as a machining difficult material and produces a saw-toothed chip. The results of the experiment are as follows : 1. The chip breaker distance and angle under which the preferred chip is produced, show 1.5mm and 60 .deg. , while chip breaker angle in machining an ordinary steel was well-known 45 .deg. . 2. During the cutting process, the change of feed than the change of velocity was applied as cutting conditions, effects more clearly on the chip breaking. 3. Considering a whole surface roughness, it is not advisable to apply chip breaker mentioned above for precision cutting.

  • This paper proposed the vector controller of induction motors using one chip microprocessor. For developing a small and cheep speed control system, we use the one chip microprocessor 80C196MC. By using the one chip microprocessor we can make an inexpensive and small-sized vector controller for induction motors. We apply indirect vector control method and space vector modulation method to this system. The experimental results show that the proposed inverter has high performance features.
