피에조 펌프 구동용 에너지 회수형 하이브리드 구동장치 고성능 운전에 관한 연구 (A Study on High Performance Operation of Hybrid Energy Recovery Drive System for Piezoelectric Pump)

  • Piezoelectric pump can be considered as R-C load and it needs something special driver because the output voltage does not become 0 even though the applied voltage is 0 with common converter. This operating system consists of fly-back converter to increase the input voltage and energy recovery inverter to apply square voltage to the piezoelectric pump. The energy recovery inverter can charge and discharge the energy of capacitive load. In this paper, to enhance performance of the driver, a few elements or circuits are added and modified. To drive the inverter safely, current limit resister is added and adjusted the value to valance the charging and discharging current. In addition, a current limit inductor is added to the input side to limit the input current and enhance the efficiency. Inductor only may make oscillation and another resister is added parallel to the inductor to solve this problem. The converter and inveter are assembled to one board for compactness. The appropriateness is proved with simulation and experiments.

Analysis of Inter-satellite Ranging Precision for Gravity Recovery in a Satellite Gravimetry Mission

  • In a satellite gravimetry mission similar to GRACE, the precision of inter-satellite ranging is one of the key factors affecting the quality of gravity field recovery. In this paper, the impact of ranging precision on the accuracy of recovered geopotential coefficients is analyzed. Simulated precise orbit determination (POD) data and inter-satellite range data of formation-flying satellites containing white noise were generated, and geopotential coefficients were recovered from these simulated data sets using the crude acceleration approach. The accuracy of the recovered coefficients was quantitatively compared between data sets encompassing different ranging precisions. From this analysis, a rough prediction of the accuracy of geopotential coefficients could be obtained from the hypothetical mission. For a given POD precision, a ranging measurement precision that matches the POD precision was determined. Since the purpose of adopting inter-satellite ranging in a gravimetry mission is to overcome the imprecision of determining orbits, ranging measurements should be more precise than POD. For that reason, it can be concluded that this critical ranging precision matching the POD precision can serve as the minimum precision requirement for an on-board ranging device. Although the result obtained herein is about a very particular case, this methodology can also be applied in cases where different parameters are used.

The Design of a Fault Tolerant Store Management System

  • Based on the dual hardware and software with distributed recovery blocks, the centralized type fault tolerant store management system(SMS) was proposed. As a result of trade off study related to mutiplex hardware system design, dual single board computer(SBC) was adapted. To verify redundancy function of the proposed structure, the prototype SMS and weapon simulator were used. The proposed SMS operated normally without being affected by a primary SBC failure. The switching time from primary SBC to shadow SBC was within 200 ms. The reliability of the proposed SMS was predicted and compared with the non fault tolerant SMS, thereby it was proved that the proposed SMS has a higher reliability than the non fault tolerant system within effective range.

  • In this paper, a cost-effective PDP driving circuit using the transformer network is proposed. Compared with the previous works, the half-bridge type energy recovery circuit recovers the reactive energy not to the capacitor but to the source. A single sustain board architecture removes the blocking switches which are placed on the discharge path in parallel, thus reducing the number of devices. A simple reset circuit generates the same waveforms as the previous approaches. The circuit configuration and modified driving waveforms are compared with the previous works. The validity of the proposed simplified driver is verified through tests using a 6-inch panel.

Recovery of Nitric Acid and Valuable Metals from Spent Nitric Etching Solutions of Printed Circuit Board

  • A study has been made on the recovery of nitric acid and valuable metals such as Cu, Sn, Pb from the spent nitric etching solutions. The nitric acid was extracted effectively by TBP but the heavy metals such as Fe, Cu, Sn, Pb were not extracted by TBP from the spent nitric etching solutions. From the experimental results, 95% of nitric acid in spent etching solution was extracted at O:A ratio of 3:1 with five stage by 60% TBP and 98% of nitric acid was stripped from the loaded organic phase at O:A ratio of 1:1 with four stages by distilled water. After extracting nitric acid, Cu was recovered as a metal by electrowinning effectively and Sn was successfully removed by precipitation method by adjusting the pH of raffinate solution. Finally, Pb was recovered by cementation with iron scrap at $65^{\circ}C$. Parameters controlling the cementation process, such as temperature, pH and the effect of the additives were investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 무선가입자망(BWLL)의 핵심부품인 기지국용 모뎀의 상향링크 수신기의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 연구하였다. 수신기는 정합필터와 디지털 다운 컨버터, 그리고 동기회로로 구성되어 있다. 동기회로의 경우 심벌 타이밍 복구를 위하여 가드너 알고리즘을 사용하였고 반송파 주파수 복구를 위하여 4승법을 사용하였으며 반송파 위상 복구는 DD알고리즘을 사용하였다. 성능 분석을 위하여 제안된 알고리즘에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과와 VHDL로 코딩되어 FPGA에 구현된 실제회로의 결과를 비교, 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 칩은 Alter사의 APEX20KE 시리즈의 60만 게이트 칩이다. 성능분석 결과 주파수 옵셋이 심벌율의 4.7% 까지 동기기가 잘 동작 하였다.

안전요원 배치 여부에 따른 무인운전 경전철의 운행중단 시간예측 연구 (A Study on Prediction of Suspension Time of Unmanned Light Rail according to Safety Personal Deployment)

  • The number of unmanned light rail train operators is continuously increasing in Korea. In a failure event during an operation due to the nature of the unmanned operation, recovery is performed based on the remote control. However, if remote recovery is not feasible, safety personnel arrive at the train to resume the train operation. There are regulations on safety personnel and the suspension time of the train operation. However, there is currently no rule for safety personnel deployment. Currently, railway operating organizations operate in three scenarios: safety personnel on board trains, stationed at stations, and deployed at major stations. Four major factors influence the downtime for each emergency response scenario. However, these four influencing factors vary too much to predict results with simple calculations. In this study, four influencing factors were considered as random variables with high uncertainty. In addition, the Monte Carlo method was applied to each scenario for the safety personnel deployment to predict train service downtime. This study found a 17% difference in train service suspension by safety personnel deployment scenario. The results of this study can be used in setting service goals, such as standards for future safety personnel placement and frequency of service interruptions.

열수광물내 Au의 선상회수를 위한 마이크로웨이브-차아염소산 용출 적용성 (Application of Microwave-HClO Leaching for On-board Recovery of Au in Hydrothermal Minerals)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 선상에서 열수광물 내 Au를 효과적으로 용출하기 위한 마이크로웨이브-차아염소산 용출의 적용 가능성을 파악하는 것이다. 비교용출실험은 마이크로웨이브 질산용출의 유(T1)/무(T2)에 따른 Au 용출율의 영향을 확인하였다. 또한, 기계적 교반에 의한 전통적인 용출(T3)과 마이크로웨이브 용출에 따른 Au 용출율을 비교하였다. 마이크로웨이브 질산용출결과(고액비; 10%, 용출온도; 90℃, 용출시간; 20분), 금속의 용출율은 As>Pb>Cu>Fe>Zn 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 용출잔사 내 Au의 함량은 33.77 g/ton에서 60.02 g/ton으로 증가하였다. 염화물 용매제를 이용한 비교용출실험 결과, Au의 용출율은 T1(61.10%)>T3(53.30%)>T2(17.30%)순으로 높게 나타났다. 따라서, 해수를 이용하여 제조 가능하고 용출과정에서 발생되는 염소 가스를 포집하여 재이용 가능한 염화물은 Au용출을 위한 최적의 용매제로 예상된다. 또한 마이크로웨이브를 적용함으로써 시간, 효율 및 에너지 측면에서 효과적일 것으로 판단되어진다.

A Novel Hybrid Converter with Wide Range of Soft-Switching and No Circulating Current for On-Board Chargers of Electric Vehicles

  • In this paper, a novel hybrid configuration combining a phase-shift full-bridge (PSFB) and a half-bridge resonant LLC converter is proposed for the On-Board Charger of Electric Vehicles (EVs). In the proposed converter, the PSFB converter shares the lagging-leg switches with half-bridge resonant converter to achieve the wide ZVS range for the switches and to improve the efficiency. The output voltage is modulated by the effective-duty-cycle of the PSFB converter. The proposed converter employs an active reset circuit composed of an active switch and a diode for the transformer which makes it possible to achieve zero circulating current and the soft switching characteristic of the primary switches and rectifier diodes regardless of the load, thereby making the converter highly efficient and eliminating the reverse recovery problem of the diodes. In addition an optimal power sharing strategy is proposed to meet the specification of the charger and to optimize the efficiency of the converter. The operation principle the proposed converter and design considerations for high efficiency are presented. A 6.6 kW prototype converter is fabricated and tested to evaluate its performance at different conditions. The peak efficiency achieved with the proposed converter is 97.7%.

무인선 회수 지원을 위한 히빙라인 발사장치 목업 개발 (Development of a Mock-up of Heaving Line Launcher to Support the Recovery of Unmanned Surface Vehicle)

  • 전 세계적으로 무인선에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 무인선의 경우 사람이 탑승하지 않기 때문에 무인선의 진수와 회수에 어려움이 크며, 특히 회수에 어려움이 더 크다. 본 연구에서는 무인선의 회수를 용이하도록 지원하는 히빙라인 발사장치를 개발하였고, 발사장치 이용에 대한 검증을 위하여 목업을 제작하였다. 히빙라인 발사장치 목업은 발사관, 원격 격발장치, 공기통, 견인탄과 히빙라인으로 구성되어 있으며, 제작된 목업에 대해서 육상시험을 수행하여 실제로 해상에서 사용이 가능한지 검토하였다. 히빙라인 발사시 무인선에 작용하는 충격력을 검토하기 위하여 발사장치에 의한 힘을 계측할 수 있는 계측 받침대를 제작하여 육상시험에서 계측하였다. 본 논문에는 히빙라인 발사장치 목업의 개발 및 육상시험 결과와 발사장치에 의한 힘 계측 결과가 나타나있다.
