선원의 인적 특성과 승선근무 특성에 따른 해운기업 복지후생 프로그램의 이용도 및 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Use and Satisfaction of the Shipping Companies' Welfare Program by the Characteristics of Crew's Demography and Working Condition on Board)

  • 본 연구는 개별 선원들의 다양한 복지 욕구를 충족시키는데 중요한 역할을 담당하는 해운기업의 복지후생 실태를 조사해 보기 위하여 선원의 인적 특성과 승선근무 특성에 따른 복지후생 프로그램의 이용도를 분석하고, 이들 프로그램의 만족도가 회사에 대한 조직몰입도와 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 현재 승선 중인 선원 459명을 대상으로 조사 분석한 결과, 선원의 연령, 결혼여부, 직급, 승선기간, 회사 근속기간 등의 인적 특성과 승선근무 내성에 따라 복지후생 프로그램의 이용도에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 해운기업의 복지후생 프로그램의 이용에 따른 만족도가 높을수록 선원의 조직몰입도와 직무만족도가 높아지는 것으로 검증되었다.

신호장치에 의한 ATS 신호장치 오동작 방지에 대한 연구 (A Study about Preventing Improper Working of Equipment on ATS System by Signaling Equipment)

  • Promotion of the line no.2 in Seoul Metro was changing from the existing signaling facilities for ATS(Automatic Train Stop) vehicles to the up-to-date signaling facilities for ATO(Automatic Train Operation). But, in consequence of conducting a trial run after being equipped with the ATO signaling facilities, the matter related to mix-operation with the existing ATS signaling facilities appeared. The operation of the existing ATS signaling system in combination with the ATO signaling system has made improper working related to frequency recognition of the ATS On-board Computerized Equipment. This obstructs operation of a working ATS vehicle. That is, as barring operation of an ATS vehicle that should proceed, it may make the proceeding ATS vehicle stop suddenly and after all, it will cause safety concerns. In this paper, we designed a wayside track occupancy detector that previously prevents improper working related to frequency recognition of the ATS On-board Computerized Equipment by gripping classification and working processes of operating trains throughout transmission of local signaling information from the existing facilities, which does not need to change or replace the existing signaling facilities. Furthermore, we described general characteristics of the wayside track occupancy detector and modeled the IFC(InterFace Contrivance) device and the logical circuit recognizing signal information. Then, we made an application program of PLC(programmable Logic Computer) based on the stated model. We, in relation to data transfer method, used the frame in TCP/IP transfer mode as the standard, and we demonstrated that ATO transmission frequency is intercepted.

선원 개인적 특성과 승선근무 특성에 따른 선원직업의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Professional Consciousness of Crew based on the Characteristics of Demography and On-board Working)

  • 이 연구는 선원의 개인적 특성(연령, 결혼여부, 국적)과 승선 경력(총승선기간, 현회사 승선기간, 선내 근무부서와 직급), 승선근무 보상(선원 복지후생만족도), 승선근무 내성(이가정성 및 이사회성) 그리고 외국인 선원과의 혼승 문제(이문화 수용 및 적응) 등의 승선근무 특성들에 따라 선원직업의식 수준에 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 선원의 연령이 높을수록, 기혼집단보다 미혼집단에서, 국적은 필리핀, 인도네시아, 미얀마, 중국, 한국 순으로 직업의식 수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 선내 직급에서는 외국인 선원의 직장급 부원의 직업의식이 원직급 부원과 수직급 부원 그리고 3항 기사 직급보다 높게 나타났다. 승선근무 특성에서는 복지후생만족도가 높아지면 선원직업의식이 높아지며, 이가정성과 이사회성은 선원직업의식에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 외국인 선원과의 혼승에 따른 이문화 수용성은 선원직업의식에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않지만, 이문화 적응성은 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 선원들이 자신의 직업에 대한 매력과 자부심 및 긍지를 가지고 승선근무를 지속할 수 있도록 하는 선원직업의식의 중요성을 강조하고, 선원직업의식의 제고방안을 제시하는 데에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

선내 위치에 따른 선박의 종운동 특성 (Longitudinal motion characteristics of a ship according to the location)

  • In head sea, a ship has mainly the longitudinal motion such as vertical acceleration and pitch. In that case, the motion characteristics of a ship will have changed as the location different from each of place vertically and horizontally on board. The author carried out an experiment about the ship's vertical acceleration and pitch according to the location for the head sea, and analyzed the data with the aid of the statistical and spectral analyzing method to get the motion characteristics of the vessels. The response of vertical acceleration and pitch not deeply depend on the decks vertically, but displayed the relative big different value horizontally even if same deck. The biggest response of vertical acceleration and pitch among the accommodations was shown at scientist room, but the value of it not reached to the minimum requirement of ISO 2631-1 for working on board.

선박근무자의 승선경력이 정신피로 및 체력특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Seaman's on Board Service Career on Physical Fitness Characteristics and Mental Fatigue)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the subjective and objective fatigue level and the characteristics of seamen's physical strength with the service period on board, to have a new understanding of the vocation, and to explore a physical exercising program for the seamen. The questionnaire survey for the seamen who had been in service on the ocean going vessels was conducted and the results are fumed out as the followings. Total number of seamen who had answered the questionnaire was 64 persons and the distribution status of service period group was identified as 16 persons for each of 4 groups; the group was classified as the group of less than 5 years, 5 - 10 years, 10 - 15 years, and more than 15 years. 1. Working conditions Working hours in a week was identified as 44-56 hours(45.3%) and the number of 45.3% of the seamen answered the working hours in week is more than 56 hours. The seamen of 25.0% are unsatisfied or very unsatisfied with their vocation. The seamen of 65.6% are smoking, and 45.3% of them drink. The seamen of 44.,3% drink once or more in a week. And the seamen of 67.2% do not take any exercise in a week. 2. Contribution to the seamen's fatigue and subjective symptom The most contributive factor to the seamen's fatigue was identified as the short of sleeping(21.5%), overwork(19.2%), poor working conditions (18.6%), and the friction in human relations also becomes one the contribution to the fatigue(14.0%). The subjective symptom by fatigue was identified as the feeling of languid, sleepy and tiredness of eyes. 3. Characteristics of the seamen's physical strength and Interrelations The grip strength and back strength of the seamen whose service period is less than 5 years were measured as 40.44kg and 127.8kg. The sit ups in the group of service period less than 5 years was measured as 36.84 times, and the vertical jump for the seamen in this group was measured as 46.55cm. The closed-eyes foot balance was measured as 33.64 seconds in the group of service period between 5 and 10 years, and side-step was measured as 35.31 times in the group of service period less than 5 years. The standing trunk flexion was measured as 10.54cm for the seamen whose service period is between 10-15 years, and the trunk extension was measured as 50.70cm for the seamen whose service period is less than 5 years. And the step test of the seamen whose service period is between 10-15 years was measured as 54.44 numbers, and the number of flickers of the seamen whose service period is less than 5 years was measured as 32.94.

부엌 수납장 설계 기준 설정을 위한 기초적 연구 (An Experimental Study for the Design of Household-Storage Facilities)

  • What is attempted here is to find out an optimum method for the design of physical environments that could save human energy expenditures and safely perform household duties. There are, if any, very little amount of research done in this area. This is particulary so when the work relates to the designing of household storage facilities in the light of the energy metabolism of human body. The first step to this study, therefore, is to find out the ways by which we can determine the energy metabolism of human body accurately. To measure the volume and the concentration of human respiration continuously and automatically, a new apparatus is selected here. This includes the recording system with the Wright Respirometer and the Expired Gas Analyzer as well as the computer system to multiply volume by concentration of human respiration and to integrate them for a given time. Then, the author experimented on the reliability of this apparatus and came to the conclusion that this apparatus satisfied our need to research the energy metabolism of human body. Next, the general plan and procedures to experiment with this apparatus have been determined as follows: 1) subjects are three young and sound females. Their physical characteristics are shown in Table 1 and most approximates the standard characteristics of Japanese females, 2) height of open shelves is selected in such away as to correspond to the respective height of each subject(see Table 2), 3) utensils to be stored are box shaped object, which weight is 0.5kg, 1.0kg, 2.0kg or 3.0kg, 4) working motions are given while one or two hands as to place utensil on each shelf from the standard working board, 85 cm in height and then to place back it on the board from the shelf and repeated in constant velocity as 10 times per a minute, 5) each posture of motion is chosen by each subject in free, 6) procedures of measurement of human energy metabolism ard shown at(6), 1, Section 3 as specific methods for using this apparatus. Findings of this study are as follows: 1. Human energy expenditures for storing utensils on shelves by each subject are shown in quantity more accurately than in any other studies, under varying conditions about height of shelves, load of utensils and working motion with one hand and two hands (see Fig. 8~13 and Table 3). 2. Experimental formulae of human energy expenditure for that work are shown as formula (8), (9) and (10), to generalize results of 1. and to apply those for working motion under given conditions. 3. As results of analysis on gained data, we are able to show the standard model of human energy expenditures for storing untensils on shelves by the standard Japanese female (see Table 7 and Fig. 14).

Measured Return Loss and Predicted Interference Level of PCB Integrated Filtering Antenna at Millimeter-Wave

  • In this paper, an experimental investigation for return loss and a software-based prediction for interference level of single-packaged filtering antenna composed of dielectric waveguide filter and PCB(Printed Circuit Board) slot antenna in transceiver module have been carried out with several different feeding structures in millimeter-wave regime. The implementation and embedding method of the existing air-filled waveguide filters working at millimeter-wave frequency on general PCB substrate have been described. In a view of the implementation of each components, the dielectric waveguide embedded in PCB and LTCC(Low Temparature Co-fired Ceramic) substrates has employed the via fences as a replacement with side walls and common ground plane to prevent energy leakage. The characteristics of several prototypes of filtering antenna embedded in PCB substrate are considered by comparing the wideband and transmission characteristics as a function of bent angle of transmission line connecting two components. In addition, as an essential to the packaging of transceiver module working at millimeter-wave, miniaturization technology maintaining the performances of independent components and the important problems caused by integrating and connecting the different components in different layers are described in this paper.

실리콘 수지 TIR 선형 렌즈 제작 및 365 nm 파장대역 UV LED 조사기 광원 개발 (Fabrication of Silicone Resin TIR Linear Lens and Development of 365 nm Wavelength UV LED Light Source)

  • A total internal reflection (TIR) linear lens of size $190(W){\times}5(D){\times}2.1(H)mm^3$ has a directivity of $25^{\circ}$ and was made of a polydimethysiloxane (PDMS) silicone resin with a refractive index of 1.4 and a transmittance of 93% at 365 nm UV wavelength. A light source with a size of $190{\times}25.5mm^2$ was fabricated by installing a TIR linear lens on a chip on board (COB) type LED module mounted with a $1.1{\times}1.1mm^2$ size UV LED. The optical characteristics of the light source showed a maximum irradiation density of $3,840mW/cm^2$ at a working distance of 5 mm and a high uniformity of 91.6% over a $150{\times}25mm^2$ irradiation area. The thermal characteristics of the light source were measured at a supply current of 500 mA. The saturation temperature was reached after 30 min of operation, and measured to be $95^{\circ}C$.

선박 내 구조호흡 장비 활용 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Utilization Improvement of Resuscitation Equipment on Board Ships)

  • 선박에서 호흡성 심정지가 발생하거나, 장시간 심폐소생술을 하는 경우, 가슴압박소생술이 아닌 구조호흡을 동반한 심폐소생술이 요구된다. 이에 선박은 산소 공급을 위한 구조호흡 장비를 보유하고 선원들은 이를 사용할 수 있는 해기능력을 갖추어야 한다. 본 연구는 선박 내 구조호흡 장비 활용을 높이기 위하여, 선박의 구조호흡 장비 설치 현황과 선원의 사용의향을 분석하여 개선방안을 제시하기 위한 조사연구이다. 2023년 2월 2일부터 4월 21일까지 진행하였으며, 총 340명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여, 빈도와 백분율, 카이제곱 검정으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 직책에서 항해사와 선장, 근무부서에서 갑판부, 항해구역에서 외항선 선원이 선박에서 구조호흡 장비를 많이 확인한 것으로 분석되었다. 선원의 구조호흡 장비에 사용의향은 낮았고, 주요 저해요인은 사용방법을 모르는 것이었다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성 중 직책이 항해사, 선장, 근무부서는 갑판부, 항해구역은 외항, 총톤수 2만톤 이상인 경우, 구조호흡 장비에 대해 사용의향이 높았다. 그리고 구조호흡의 필요성을 알고, 실습과 장비 교육을 받은 선원이 구조호흡 장비 사용에 적극적인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 모든 선박이 구조호흡 장비를 갖출 수 있도록 제도 마련이 되어야 하고, 선박 내에서 구조호흡 장비에 대한 접근성을 높이는 환경조성이 필요하다. 또한 구조호흡 장비에 대한 실습과 장비 교육 기반의 교육체계를 구축하여 선원이 해기능력을 갖추도록 해야 한다.

Direct Transfer Printing of Nanomaterials for Future Flexible Electronics

  • Over the past decade, the major efforts for lowering the cost of electronics has been devoted to increasing the packaging efficiency of the integrated circuits (ICs), which is defined by the ratio of all devices on system-level board compared to the area of the board, and to working on a larger but cheaper substrates. Especially, in flexible electronics, the latter has been the favorable way along with using novel nanomaterials that have excellent mechanical flexibility and electrical properties as active channel materials and conductive films. Here, the tool for achieving large area patterning is by printing methods. Although diverse printing methods have been investigated to produce highly-aligned structures of the nanomaterials with desired patterns, many require laborious processes that need to be further optimized for practical applications, showing a clear limit to the design of the nanomaterial patterns in a large scale assembly. Here, we demonstrate the alignment of highly ordered and dense silicon (Si) NW arrays to anisotropically etched micro-engraved structures using a simple evaporation process. During evaporation, entropic attraction combined with the internal flow of the NW solution induced the alignment of NWs at the corners of pre-defined structures. The assembly characteristics of the NWs were highly dependent on the polarity of the NW solutions. After complete evaporation, the aligned NW arrays were subsequently transferred onto a flexible substrate with 95% selectivity using a direct gravure printing technique. As proof-of-concept, flexible back-gated NW field effect transistors (FETs) were fabricated. The fabricated FETs had an effective hole mobility of 0.17 $cm2/V{\cdot}s$ and an on/off ratio of ${\sim}1.4{\times}104$. These results demonstrate that our NW gravure printing technique is a simple and effective method that can be used to fabricate high-performance flexible electronics based on inorganic materials.
