세라믹 정밀/한외여과 복합막을 이용한 폐윤활유 정제 (Reclamation of Waste Lubricating Oil Using Ceramic Micro/Ultrafiltration Composite Membrances)

  • The permeation characteristics and reclamation efficiency of waste lubricating oil were studied as a function of the types of ceramic composite membranes and the membrane separation process variables. The oil permeability of the TiO2 composite membrane(pore size 0.015 $\mu\textrm{m}$) was directly proportional to the crossflow velocity(0.22∼0.9 m/s) and temperature(150$^{\circ}C$∼200$^{\circ}C$). In the batch concentration process, as the concentration factor increased, both the permeability and the ash content of the permeate decreased. The average ash contents of the total permeate through the A6 alumina membrane(average pore size 0.8$\mu\textrm{m}$), Z1/A6 and Z1/A4(pore size 0.23$\mu\textrm{m}$)/A7(pore size 6$\mu\textrm{m}$) zirconia composite membrances(average pore size 0.07$\mu\textrm{m}$) were about 0.063 wt%, 0.045wt% and 0.08wt% in the region of 1∼2 concentration factor, respectively. The ash content of the mixed permeate through the A6 alumina and zirconia composite membrane was about 0.06 wt% and it can be also reduced to 0.06 wt% in the Z1/A6 membrane and below 0.003 wt% in the TiO2/Z1/A6 membrane. It was concluded that the treated oil obtained from the multi-step membrane separation process could be used as reclaimed lubricating oil as well as reclained fuel oil.

  • 본 연구는 MHD(Magnetohydrodynamics)방식의 전자기력을 이용하여 선박사고 등으로 인하여 해상에 유출된 기름을 분리하는 새로운 방법에 대한 설계 및 정식화를 이끌어 내었다. MHD분리방식은 최근에 연구되고 있는 자기파우더를 이용한 분리방식보다도 더욱 친환경적이고 분리가 용이하다는 강점을 가지고 있다. 여기서는 기름을 대신하여 고분자 입자를 넣은 해수를 가정하여 유체내의 전류, 자기장, 유속에 대한 분리율(분리측 입장의 질량/전 입자의 질량)을 수치시뮬레이션을 이용하여 그 특성을 검토하였다.

  • A numerical study has been carried out to investigate the heat and mass transfer of an oil pumping system with a variable shape of the housing using the CFD method. Especially, the electric motor and the pump combined together, accomplishes a research about the oil supplying system. In this study, the temperature and velocity distribution of the oil pumping system by varying the flow rate of supplying oil have been investigated. The temperature changes with each five conditions(flow rate of supply oil : 2, 4, 8, 12, and 16 liter/min) have also been studied. The numerical results show that the exhaust temperature decreases as the flow rate of the supplying oil increases. It also reveals that the temperatures change differently with the housing shape.

  • 이중유벽 사이에 가두어진 기름층과 전방 유벽의 끝에서 발생하는 보오텍스 거동간의 관계를 보기 위하여 파노라마 PIV 기법을 사용하였다. 물-기름 자유경계면 근처의 순간 및 시간평균 경계층 유속분포를 계측하여 경계면 상의 전단응력 도출가능성을 확인하였다. 본 기법을 사용하면 자유경계면의 거동이 작거나 규칙적인 경우 경계면상 전단층내 상세 유동구조를 파악하기 충분한 정도의 해상도를 가진 결과를 얻을 수 있다고 판단되었다.

  • Recently, as the high-precision machinery industry has developed rapidly, peripheral equipment has been developed to improve machining efficiency. Peripheral equipment for machining includes cooling units, housings, oil separators, and much more. Oil, such as cleaning and cutting fluids, is used for machining. When waste oil is reused, the contamination of the workpieces and reduction in machining accuracy are generated by the waste oil, including sludge. Therefore, the development of an oil separator is necessary for efficiently separating oil, water, and sludge. The purpose of this study is to analyze the oil separation efficiency and flow characteristics of a high-speed centrifugal separator according to the rotation velocity and diffusion plate. The oil separation efficiency and flow characteristics were analyzed using hydrodynamic theory and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The results of this study will be used as basic data for the development of a high-speed centrifugal separator.

해양 시추선용 공조덕트 개발에 대한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of the Development of an Air Conditioning Duct for Marine and Oil Drilling Ships)

  • This study is about the distributions of flow in an air conditioning duct used for marine and oil drilling ships. Three-dimensional steady state turbulence was assumed as a governing equation for describing the flow in the air conditioning duct in this study. We compared the flow field with the pressure distribution according to the inlet velocity for two types of air conditioning duct, and stress and safe factors were simulated using ANSYS W/B. The result of fluid analysis showed an increased pressure drop in the duct according to the inlet velocity. Furthermore, secondary flow and complicated flow characteristics occurred at the bellows zone.

유한요소법에 의한엔진 구조소음 해석 (An Engine Structure-Borne Noise Analysis by Finite Element Method)

  • This paper presents the static analysis, the modal analysis and the forced vibration analysis on engine structures to find out the structure-borne noise sources by finite element method. The deformation of engine structures under the maximum combu- stion gas force was calculated through the static analysis, and the resonance possibilities were predicted by the modal analysis which ascertains mode shapes and the corresponding frequencies of engine global and its major noise sources in engine surfaces were investigated with the forced vibration analysis by means of finding the transfer mobilities on engine surfaces due to the piston impact and the velocity levels due to the combustion in consideration of oil film stiffness and damping coefficients. Finally, the direction of engine structure-borne noise reduction can be estabilished by the above-mentioned analysis procedure and the reduction effect of cost on proto-type engine build-up is expected.

  • This paper represents the experimental results of electrohrdrodynamic(EHD) micropump driven by traveling- wave voltage. We fabricated 60 electrodes array with $100{\mu}m$ width and $100{\mu}m$ interval on the pyrex glass. On that glass we fabricated the micro channel which had the cross section of 3mm by 0.5mm. This pump was driven by 6 phase square traveling-wave voltage. We used the corn oil for experiments and increased the temperature of fluid by resistive heater. An optical microscope with CCD camera and monitor was used for observation. The fluid velocity was large for the large driving voltage and the high temperature. This EHD pump had the fluid velocity in specific frequency (near 1Hz) which had relation to the charge relaxation time in that oil.

  • In this paper, flow characteristics of plasma flow in a micro-tube were investigated experimentally using micro particle image velocimetry(micro-PIV). For comparison, the experiments were repeated for deionized(DI) wale. instead of plasma. Both velocity profiles of plasma and do-ionized water are well agreed with the theoretical velocity distribution of newtonian fluid. We also carried out generating plasma-in-oil droplet formation at a Y-junction microchannel. In order to clarify the hydrodynamic aspects involved in plasma droplet formation, Rhodamine-B were mixed with plasma only for visualization of plasma droplet. With oil as the continuous phase and plasma as the dispersed phase, plasma droplet can be generated in a continuous phase flow at a Y-junction. For given experimental parameters, regular-sized droplets are reproducibly formed at a uniform flow conditions.

  • Influence of Velocity and Temperature on Streaming Electrification of Insulating Oil is investigated by injection method. Leakage current is increased slightly with increasing temperature in the temperature range 20 to $80^{\circ}C$ at low flow rate, however, it show a peak in the temperature 40 to $60^{\circ}C$ at high flow rate. Leakage current is also increased linearly with increasing flow rate in the flow rate range 1 - 31/min but thereafter, it is increased abruptly with increasing flow rate.
